Avery should have been working on his homework. That was why he had come to the Student Lounge in the first place, and yet, he couldn't focus on any of the words in his textbook. They were beginning to all blur together, and it didn't help that many of the words were overly complicated, seemingly for the sake of being complicated and trying to sound far more intelligent than they needed to be. Instead of giving himself a headache with all that, he'd become distracted, ditching the textbook in favour of building a small house out of his tarot deck. It was only supposed to be a five-minute sidetrack while he regathered his thoughts, but somehow, it had turned into an intense, thirty-minute process of stacking as many as he could, as neatly as he could. There was always room to stack it higher, and higher, and he quickly lost himself in seeing how many he could pile on before the entire thing collapsed.
