Open after Jessica posts with Aubrey (though keep in mind this is during classtime).

Brooke wasn't sure how thrilled she was about the prospect of group assignments. Especially when she hadn't been able to team up with someone she knew was competent, like Ivy or Emmaline. If she was honest, Brooke had no idea how good Aubrey was at Transfiguration, but she supposed as long as the other girl listened and they could get the spell right, it didn't matter.

At least Brooke had a good idea for where they could work undisturbed, remembering the empty classroom from a previous year. "Here, this should be quiet enough," Brooke said, opening the door for Aubrey and ushering her inside so she could close it. The last thing she wanted was for them to lose their rat. "It would probably be a bit rude to stun it," she said pensively, looking at the rat warily as its nose twitched in the air. They just needed it to hold still long enough to transfigure it, surely it couldn't be that hard.

Aubrey didn't often pay much attention in class, not wanting a reputation as a teachers pet or as an honor student. The pressure that came with that seemed to intense. Normally, she would have avoided doing a spell like this, but she wasn't against doing something in a group. She often felt alone, with no one but Nikko that really seemed to even know her name. She smiled softly as she settled on the ground next to Brooke. "Stunning it would be rather mean," she agreed, shifting in her bag for a bit of cheese. Luckily, she'd had a bit of cheddar and some grapes in her bag for an afternoon snack. She broke off a small piece and sat it in front of the mouse, pleased when the rat held still to eat it. "Go ahead," she murmured to the other girl, giving her an encouraging smile.

Brooke was glad Aubrey agreed with her, but she didn't really want to be stuck holding a rat or anything while they tried to cast new magic on it. She was trying to think of a good way to corral the rat somewhere it would stay still when Aubrey pulled cheese out of her bag, using that to distract it. Brooke would have thought it was a good idea if it wasn't so unexpected.

"Why do you have cheese in your bag?" She asked incredulously, already thinking about how she had to make sure to tell Ivy and Delilah later. "Have you just been carrying that around in case you run into wayward mice?" Brooke did giggle that time, but at least it was holding the rat still long enough that she could draw her wand to try and cast the spell. "Cuni- Dangit, it moved." Brooke frowned, she'd barely managed a single tap before the rat had finished the bit of cheese Aubrey had and began nosing around for more.

Aubrey shrugged at the question. "I have some cheese and grapes today. They're a good snack," She explained easily, setting a slightly larger piece down for the creature. "I like to curl up with a sketchbook and some snacks," She couldn't help but giggle a little.

"You sneaking down to the kitchens for cheese?" Brooke asked, raising an eyebrow before focusing back on the rat. It was working out in her favour for this, but Brooke was definitely telling the next person she saw that Aubrey Miller kept cheese in her pockets. "That sounds.. Nice. You draw?" Brooke asked absently, leveling her wand at the rodent. "Cuniculus!" With three taps, the rat morphed, ears elongating as it completed its transformation into a rabbit and Brooke sat back satisfied. Unfortunately, the rabbit no longer seemed as interested in the cheese as it had when it was a rat, raising its head and twitching its nose, looking ready to jump. "Oh no, quick, quick, grab it," Brooke said hurriedly, trying to bring her hands down around the rabbit but it lept away deftly.

Aubrey shrugged. "And grapes." She tucked her hair behind her ear, smiling and laughing lightly as the bunny tried to hop away. She smiled at Brooke. "Very nice," she complimented, catching the bunny easily and holding it still. "I don't have any carrots," she mused, rubbing the bunny behind it's fluffy ears. It was so cuddly and soft. She would have to ask Thaddeus if she could have a bunny.
