The Basics
Name: Hilary Grace
Birthdate: December 9th 2005
Hometown: Hilary was born in a very small town in southern Ontario, Canada but after her father died her mom relocated them to the south of England where she had grown up. Hilary's mom is currently looking for somewhere to live in Canada because she misses it as a country but doesn't want to return to the place of the husbands death.
Blood Status: Half-Blood. Her mother was a wish who desired to be a squib while her father was a muggle driving instructor.

Appearance
Hair (color, length etc.): Hilary has blonde hair, but when she was younger, her mother insisted on dyeing it brown or red because she was scared of people judging her daughter as "dumb" . After her first year at school, Hilary decided to leave it blond, just because she couldn't be bothered to dye her hair all the time. It has stayed mostly blond ever since. Her hair falls to the middle of her back and is naturally curly but is usually straightened and sleek. When she first came to Hogwarts NZ she was a little more careful with her outward appearance, but as she grew older she decided that those who cared THAT much about her hair, weren't worth it. For much of her last half of school and for a few years after her favourite hairstyle was a simple ponytail. Now that she is older she is beginning to take care in her outer appearance again, to try to look more professional.
Eyes: Hilary's eyes are generally very dark but clearly blue surrounded with green. When she is feeling an extreme emotion her eyes very slightly become greener or bluer. Although this is a slight change now, meaning it takes someone who knows her well to notice it clearly, when she was first born with her big round eyes her mother noticed right away. This is something that she has been told by family friends she got from her father, but as she was young when he died and her mother rarely speaks of him, she will perhaps never know for sure.
Height: Hilary grew up fairly tall for her age before Hogwarts and even into her second year as she had her growth spurt early. After that though, Hilary became shorter than many of her friends and school mates, even those younger than her as they all had their growth spurts later on. She is all of 4'11, making her only one inch taller than a legal dwarf, though she pretends to be 5' if anyone ever asks! The basic answer though is that Hilary is short.
Personality: When Hilary was in school she was a very bubbly, friendly and smiley girl, plain and simple. She loved and still loves to talk to people and wasn't really scared of anyone, even in a situation that would be obviously scary to others. Her outgoing-ness has been known to scare shy people, but one of Hilary's downfalls is that that is something she is immune to noticing. After the death of her mother she fell into a bit of a spiral of self-pity, because she didn't really have anyone to care for, but now she is trying to redevelop some of that, because she really misses her old self.
History: Hilary's mother, Tabitha Oliver, was a witch born to squib mother and a magical father. She grew up as a witch, knowing from an early age she was magical, but felt that it wasn't enough. She always dreamed of having no magical powers, similar to the way many muggle children dream of having magic. Soon after the battle of Hogwarts, Tabitha ran off to live as a muggle. One of the parts of living as a muggle was trying to pass her driving exam, including taking lessons. She ended up falling in love with her muggle driving instructor (Luke Peters) who she ended up marrying. Hilary was just 2 when her father got into a car accident but Hilary is still unsure deep down whether that is actually what killed him.
After his death, Hilary's mother (Tabitha) got remarried to a French wizard (Pierre Grace) and they had a daughter. Hilary's younger half sister Kerri was removed from Hogwarts New Zealand half way through her second year by her father. She is currently attending Beauxbatons in France and the step father has returned to France as well. Tabitha doesn't really mind that he left her as he beat both her and Kerri, though sometimes she cries for her other daughter. Pierre never beat Hilary because he didn't think he had the right as she was not his daughter.

While Hilary does know her old last name, she hasn't switched back to using it because she doesn't feel right using the name of a man she feels like she never knew.
