Matthew felt a wave of relief wash over him when Alana told him that she had enjoyed the kiss too. He smiled to himself thinking for the first time that she might like him as much as he liked her. It had been a nerve racking few moments since he had brought up the subject but he had to know her feelings so he could gauge how they moved forward, as it stood everything looked bright moving forward, she liked him and that was all he needed to know. Matthew's heart skipped a beat when she told him that she thought they would kiss again and the sly little smile on her lips was too adorable for Matthew to bare. But he wouldn't have long to dwell on it.
No sooner had she told him that she thought it would happen again had she told him something else, he would have to catch her. What? She wanted to play games. "Wait, what?" He exclaimed as she slipped off the boulder and darted passed him along the trail back to the castle. She was having fun, why not they were still kids after all. Matthew smiled and took off running after her, he wasn't sure what would happen when he caught up to her, but he was very excited to find out.
