This are the popular girls do in their everyday lives and Leslie is among this popular girls that roam the entire Obsidian Harbor. Walking like a queen in the streets with their shopping paper bags on their both arms, well, this popular girl walked by herself. People looked at her on awe with that expensive shoes and clothes she's wearing, it blinds people.

She walked looking at the shops that she already went in and still going in, it was winter, everyone was freezing except Leslie. It seems she can stand the cold than everyone else, snow is fun to watch as it goes down at the ground. But it was the first winter her and her sister's parents aren't here.

Maria was busy with shopping, not for clothes or any accessory, but rather, for some supplies that she needed for school. She was rather busy looking for a book as well. However, as she passed by the numerous number of shops in the Harbour, Maria cannot help but to look at the glamorous and beautiful clothes displayed in the shops' front. "Really, way to rub off on me.." She muttered to herself as she remembered a very fashionable old friend of hers. She had given her a make over, and that is precisely the reason why she had been attracted with fashion lately, unlike before.

Willing herself to look away from the displays, Maria didn't noticed that there was someone going on his way from the direction opposite of hers. She was not looking that she had bumped into someone and her shopping bags all scattered down the cobble stoned ground. "What the..." She muttered, glaring at the person she had just bumped into as she tried to shield her eyes from the sun's light.

Keeping her eyes at the particular shop while walking, she did not manage to look in front of her and just felt a very strong body met hers and made her back away. "What the heck is wrong with people today!" Leslie screamed at the person who bumped her who on the other hand was on the ground. "Are you blind? or just plain dumb?" Her particular personality is that, she blames people even it is her fault as well and she admit it, it was her fault as well because she's not looking in front of her but to somewhere else.

Of course she will not admit it what so ever, "Thanked god you did not ripped my shopping bag or so help me god you are going to pay for my stuffs." People where starring at them like they are a reality show on TV, "People, there is nothing happening here, so do your own business." Leslie told the people and some by standers, Leslie is not a trouble maker in front of people but she is when there is no people around.

maria had gotten really irked when the girl blamed her for bumping into her. Sure enough, she was at fault, but it was equally the girl's fault as well. Standing up and dusting her clothes off, Maria continued to glare at the girl. She's not one who would just get into any needless trouble or fights, yet at the moment, just the girl's tone irritates her. It was Maria's personality after all. She can quickly get annoyed by almost everything. "Look who's talking... if you were looking at where you were going, then you probably need not to bump unto me.. I admit that I was not looking at where I was going too, but you, you're the denying it.. it's quite stupid I think.." Maria said, rolling her eyes at the girl as she picked up her bags which had scattered down the ground. One of them was ripped at the bottom, leaving her no choice but to just carry the books that was supposedly in them.

"You ripped my bag, will you pay for it then..." She said, more so like a statement than a question as she cast a cold glare at those people watching them. They were not something that is of entertainment and she hates it when she was being watched unnecessarily. Before she could say anything to make the crowd stop from watching them, the girl had beaten her into it. She had said the exact words that she was thinking. As the crowd parted, Maria tapped his foot impatiently at the ground, waiting for what ever it is that the girl was about to say. She already had the urge to just walk off and ignore the other girl, but something stops her from doing so, she had her pride, and besides, the girl hadn't apologize to her yet.

Slowly but surely, the people strolled off and did their own business like what she told them to do. Leslie turned at the girl again, seeing her shopping bag was ripped at the bottom she could not help but to be guilty. She heard the girl asked if Leslie is going to pay for it, she sigh and rolled her eyes. Leslie put down her shopping bags and transfer an item to another shopping bag, then the empty shopping bag was given to the girl. "Are you happy? Its just ripped, you can always carry it." Leslie told her and gave her a smile, someone urge her to smile at that very moment and she does not know why.

"Next time I will keep an eye on the ground I'm walking and not on some pretty item in the window of the store." The young girl could not believe what is she saying at the other girl. But it does not mean that her heart is softening, not at all. It must just be her parents presences or whatever that is making her energy low. "If you want, I can get you a ride home? ... I am Leslie." She introduce herself, frowning at herself.

Maria accepted the shopping bag from the girl bitterly, she doesn't really like to have any favor from the girl, but since it was also equally her fault that her bag was ripped, she accepted it anyway. "Not really... but thank you any way.." She said half heartedly, putting the books in the bag. She smiled a little after she was done, her mood lightening up a bit as she thought about the books that she'll be able to read once at home.

"I'll do that as well..." She then said, smiling as she realized that the girl had finally admitted that she was at fault too for not looking at where she was going. "I'm Maria, and no, I don't think that I would need a ride home, I would hate to burden you..." She said casually, introducing her self as well.

"Well, Maria. I insist of taking you home and it would be great if I see your lovely home." Leslie told Maria, she was just curious of other people who lives at the muggle world even though herself lives in the muggle world and act normal as it was. "What about lunch? can I treat you for some ice cream?" She asked her again, waiting for her answer to say yes at that offer.

Leslie is just alone at the moment, her sister and her Aunt is somewhere but she does not know where. "Pretty please? Just a lunch, will see each other anyway."Said Leslie with much effort to convince the other young girl

"You insist? If you are that sure, then why not?" Maria said, her irritations already forgotten. Yes, she was quick to be irritated, yet, she was quick to feel relieved as well, it's easy for her to forgive someone who had already admitted her faults. "My house is not that big though..." She then added nonchalantly, shrugging as she remembered her average sized house, yes, they were already well-off, yet, her parents doesn't like to buy a new house, they prefer their old fashioned yet comfy house.

Maria shook her head as the girl offered to treat her to lunch, not that she didn't appreciate the offer, it's just that, she doesn't want to owe a favor to anyone. "I'll eat with you since I don't have anything to do anyway, but you don't need to treat me, I'll pay for my own..." She replied back, she doesn't mind staying for a couple of more hours, she had nothing to do at house after all.

Maria made her decision and it was a yes, "Yey, and I also insist of buying you lunch it is the least I can do expect for that shopping bag." Leslie told Maria, she can not believe she will make friends in such occasion like in a fight but she is thankful that she made up with her. "Anyways, let's go before we go home, there's no people my house at this time of the day anyway." She grab Maria on her hand and started walking towards the Leaky Cauldron where they can have lunch and talk a little.

"Why is it that everyone that I meet always insists that they treat me into something?" Maria said, more to herself than to the girl with her. A few moths ago, she had met her first friend, someone who insisted that they go shopping and that she'll pay for whatever it is that Maria had to buy. She had no choice but to agree at whatever it is that she wanted. "Alright, I think that no one's home either.." She said quietly, letting herself to be lead by the girl to wherever it is that they would be heading to.

Leslie and Maria head inside of the Leaky Cauldron and took a sit at the corner, she sat across from maria and called for a waiter. Once the waiter was in front of them, she smiled at him and took the menu, "So, Maria. What do you want?" She asked the other girl, Leslie already know what she wanted and she's just waiting for Maria to order before her.

Maria wasn't really that familiar with the items sold in the place where they had opted to eat, it was her first time there after all. Handing the menu back to Leslie, she shook her head. "i'll take what you'll take Leslie.." She said softly, looking around her and wondering whether she'll see a familiar face.

She pursed her lips and smiled as Maria told her to pick a meal for her, Leslie told at the waiter that they will having the lunch meal with drink. She then handed their menus back at the waiter as he went back at the counter to take their orders. Leslie looked back at Maria and smiled, "So, Maria. Where are you from?" She asked the other girl, the first thing you have to ask on the person you just barely knew.

"Where am I from?" Maria said, repeating the question that was just asked of her. "France..but we do transfer a lot.." She continued on after pausing to think a little. They had transferred to a lot of places that she had already lost count of the countries and the cities that she had been. "How about you?" She then asked back to the girl, wondering whether she could learn something about her.

Leslie was just inform by Maria that she was from France, the city of love. She always wanted to go there but to no avail, she can not. The question then went back to her and she smiled, "I am originally from Maine but moved here in New Zealand before my sister went to Hogwarts." She told Maria the story of her and her family moving even though it was obvious that her parents does not want to move but it was totally needed. Then the waiter came for their food, he handed in front of them their foods in a plate, she on the other hand just smiled at the guy and he went away. "I hope you like fries, chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes." Leslie cut her steak as if afraid to kill the chicken which is already dead because of her graceful slices.
