Camille sighed as she pulled yet another book from the pile of books on the small table she sat. For three hours she had been reading up on the House elves. She still hadn't made a dent in the lives of the elves. The ones that he father had kept were all well treated. He'd even insisted on paying them. Which is one of the things Camille loved about her dearly departed father. He had always been so good with her and her siblings. She dearly loved him for that. So, whenever she got the chance, Camille would do all she could to help the elves. Even if they didn't want her help. It was the least she could do. It made her feel closer to her father. She had always loved helping him do what he wanted and would enjoy being taken to rally's and other such places when her father attended them. He was a very strong man in her eyes.

The book Camille currently skimmed through was of the History of Houseelves slavery. It dated back quite a while, and was of course Not called Slavery, but rather Servitude or Help. Which Camille thought quite distasteful. She slammed the book in disgust and looked around as the book made a loud noise.

Seeing no-one in sight, Camille smirked and put the book back in the shelf it had come from. She needed help and was not going to be able to do it her self. She picked up the five books that remained on the table and headed out of the library. Maybe she would run into some-one she knows. As she walked toward the door she looked down at the open book on the pile. It was then that she suddenly felt something hit her. Looking at the ground she cocked her head. The books she had been carrying were now situated on the persons face. "Hey, don't I know you?" Camille asked as she proceeded to flip the books off of him.

Drew was a good boy, he brushed his teeth in the morning, said good morning to people as he walked through the school in his yellow robes and he always tried to help people. So when he finally made it to the library to find someone throwing books on his face he was rather upset and shocked. Why would someone do something so mean? It was only when the girl spoke that his sad feelings were replaced with happy ones. The person that had dropped books on his face was his best friend in the universe.
Camille Jones.

“Camille?” He asked picking himself up off the ground and brushing himself off. “Why did you drop books on my face?” He asked quietly. Drew was not a very loud speaker, in fact he was a very quiet boy, even around friends. Drew then picked up the books and started apologising to every single one of them and all the pages they contained, that was alot of ‘sorries’. Drew looked up at his friend in the eyes. “Why are you here?” He continued, getting the feeling that Camille was planning to start some sort of fight, like she always did.

Camille fell backwards and laughed as she saw who she had tumbled over. “DREW!” She called as she quickly gathered up the rest of her books. “Wow, what are you doing here? I’m surprised, here I am wondering if I will find some-one to help me and who shows up? My best friend in the whole wide world. How cool is that?” She asked as she helped him up. She couldn’t believe that she was seeing her best friend. And he was in Hufflepuff, so that was cool. Though she had to admit that she was actually expecting him to be in Hufflepuff. She couldn’t really see him fitting anywhere else. Though she would never admit it to him directly.

“Sorry Drew… I didn’t see you; I didn’t intentionally drop them on you, really.” She told him as she held her books to her chest. She didn’t want to lose them. “Still apologising to inanimate objects I see” She said softly as she laughed. Drew really was a weirdo but she still loved him. She tugged on his shirt as she beckoned him back to the desk she had just left. “I’m here because I was researching. You know how it is” She added as she dropped all the books on the table, just to see what Drew would do.

“So how’s Alex?” She asked not really caring at all. “And Hannah?” Hannah was the cutest little thing. And she also happened to be Camille’s little sister’s best friend. Hayley and Hannah were almost like twins when they were together. It was kind of freaky.

Drew smiled, glad that his best friend had not forgotten him. Drew then started laughing also. “Extremely cool, Cam.” He agreed. It was rare for Drew and Camille to fight about anything, except her obsession with fighting for the rights of everything. Drew preferred to stay out of fights because he did not like fighting as it was a horrible thing that Drew never wanted to have a part of. “What did you need help with?” He asked curiously.

Drew laughed slightly. “Cam, I am not that short.” He said putting his hands on his thin hips. Drew was about three quarters a head shorter than Camille, but that was short enough for her to not see him. Drew frowned. “I just think all things, including inanimate objects deserve respect.” He explained. Drew followed Camille to the desk and sat down, flinching when Camille dropped the books on the table. When a small glare he picked them all up and sat them neatly and carefully in a pile by his arm. “Couldn’t you be more quieter? We are in a library after all.” He explained. “And what may I ask were you researching?” He asked, opening one of the books and flicking through it. “House Elves?” He asked looking at her. “Oh no, come on Camille, you can’t.” He said putting together what his friend was planning. “Please tell me you are not planning anything.” He begged quietly.

Drew laughing slightly, he knew Camille and his older brother Alex did not get along at all. They clashed too much and had soon became enemies. “He is good, he decided to not come to Hogwarts this year, but he might come later.” Drew told her. “And Hannah was really sad when she realised that I was leaving her, I told her I would write though so that helped her to accept it, I don’t know what she’ll do if Alex comes here, she’ll only have Emma.” Drew explained. “How is Hayley?” He asked.

Camille rolled her eyes. She was slightly surprised that her Best friend could not tell that she was planning to do something. They were always together and she told him everything. Yet he couldn’t figure it out. “What do you mean? You mean you want to help me?” She asked becoming slightly more excited then she had been. “You never want to help me?” She asked as she smiled happily. “And yes I am Extremely Cool”. She added as an afterthought.

Camille then smiled as Drew complained about not being short. “Well, sure you are Drew… If I can’t see you then you must be short. Because I’m not exactly a giant you know.” She told him as she patted his head as if he were her lackey. When Drew mentioned inanimate objects, Camille shook her head. “Well yeah, I’ve noticed”. “No I can’t because I was not making any noise at all, rather I was placing my books on the table” She told him raising her voice slightly higher than normal. “What’s wrong with researching House elves?” She asked as she glared at him slightly, she knew he would try to stop her. “Don’t you try to deter me Drew Handler, I shall do what I please” She said rising her voice slightly, earning herself a glare from the librarian.

“Well, I’m glad, I guess” She said as she shook her head. “Hayley was much the same unfortunately” She added.

Drew sighed and shook his head, he had just realised that Camille was probably planning to start a fight about rights, he could not let this happen “Camille...” He complained quietly. Camille was sometimes too much for the little pacifist, she did not know how to not start a fight, even if she was trying to help. “Camille you have to promise me that you will not start a fight and will stop working on whatever it is you are working on.” He said, almost pleadingly. Drew knew that if he could get Camille to swear that she would not do something, she wouldn’t do it. Drew sighed deeply; Camille was at it again, subconsciously starting a fight. “No you were slamming them onto the table, there is a big difference, one is placing kindly making no loud noise or harm, while the other is making a loud noise and causing harm.” He explained. Knowing that she would try to undermined him.

“There is nothing wrong with researching house elves, only that you will end up starting a fight when you decided that they are treated unfairly.” Drew said sighing once again. He had hoped that meeting up with his best friend would be a good thing, but it had already started to go bad. Drew looked around and smiled weakly at the librarian, who glared back and put her finger to her lip. “Could you be quieter, or we will be thrown out.” Drew said quietly. Drew had never been thrown out of a place in his life and he did not want to start now.
