Helios’ personality has changed a lot, and he used to be a curious but cautious child. He is now overly cautious. He is nice, but he struggles to keep friends because he gets nervous and doesn’t join in when they do things that are dangerous. He thinks very hard about everything he does, won’t take a step forward without thinking about it several times over.

Never, skipping classes are again the rules, so he would never do so. There was also no one to look after him if he did, so he would never.

The hall itself was a pretty place, even if the candles were a hazard. Though as he watched them, barely noticing where everyone else was going. He noticed that the candles were burning endlessly without diminishing. So safe. It just led him to not noticing that other students and walking straight into someone. They didn’t seem particularly happy about it, and Helios shied away from them. He noticed the twins he’d met on the train and some from the day care centre he had attended. None of them he was going to speak to now, though he was a little curious as to where they would end up.
Helios muttered a quick apology to the person he knocked into just as the hat began singing. Helios knew about this part. His cousin had told him about it, and assured him that it was perfectly safe. Didn’t have any risks with it. Helios glanced around to the tables with all the older students. He spotted his cousin sitting at the ravenclaw table. Helios could see him catch his attention and wave at him, but Helios didn’t wave back and did very much ignore him. Instead, he glanced back forward. It wasn’t that Helios disliked his cousin but more that he didn’t want to accidentally wave at someone else, or get made fun of for waving at his cousin.
Helios didn’t know where he would end up, but it definitely wasn’t going to be ravenclaw. Perhaps he knew a lot about safety but he wasn’t studious in the slightest. The names began being called and Helios watched as other students were called before him, and it took some time before they got to the O’s and therefore to his name. When they did Helios nervously stepped forward, suddenly afraid about what this would be like. He was quickly shaking and wanted nothing more than to leave, but he was pushed forward a little and then his feet kept moving. He didn’t sit in the seat, more perched, ready to bolt at the first sign of danger. He was only hoping that this wouldn’t take long."You're keen for this to be quick so let's get right to it. You've got a good mind for where you don't belong, I'll give you that...oh, that would be interesting...yes, you're a Hufflepuff!"[/JUSTIFY]

(Y45) First Year: Helios had a relatively calm first year at Hogwarts, he struggled a lot with feeling safe, he struggled with his classes, especially where there was a lot for him to have to deal with. In his view none of the professors taken their safety very seriously. He joined the monthly and has written one article for it. One he was very pleased with. Helios was pleased with his first year at Hogwarts, but would be content to never return.
