Bio: Grew up as the middle child. When he was young, his younger sister Māhina nearly drowned. He has since become somewhat protective of her, but not as much so as his older sister, Aroha. His parents instilled within him a great appreciation for Māori language and culture – his mother being a te reo teacher herself. He values his culture deeply – maybe even moreso than his two sisters – and loves to do harakeke weaving as a hobby. Hemi isn’t sure about going to Hogwarts; he doesn’t know if his future really lies in the magical world, but he feels like he should give it a shot at the same time.
