EARLY HISTORY (BIRTH - FOUR) Godric Wilson Adams (Godric, as his mother's wish, Wilson, after the deceased younger sibling of Midwife Asha Adams who took Godric into her care during the first six months of his life) was born in a hospital in Yorskire, England, on the twelfth of March, 2032. His mother stayed with him for only the first few hours of his life before disappearing and leaving him with only a note and a name. When his mother's disappearance was discovered, surveillance footage of her last traced movements as she left the hospital, was leaked to every local newspaper and those in surrounding areas in the hope of finding Godric's mother. An interview was published of the last member of staff known to have spoken to his mother. In this interview the nurse stated how distant Godric's mother had seemed, and the faint Australian or 'New Zealander' twang of her accent. After a couple of months media interest died down and the search, with it.
Godric remained in the care of Asha Adams for six months, until he was moved into the children's care system and given a new, more long-term foster family. The Burgess family raised Godric as one of their own. He learned to walk and talk with the Burgess family and all seemed to be going well. He endured his first birthday with the family, but only a year and three months after being placed in their care, his foster-mother, who had believed herself incapable of conceiving with her husband, fell pregnant. The painful decision to part ways with Godric to focus on the two older adopted children they had and the new baby on the way, was taken. Godric was returned to the care system.
At the age of two, Godric was moved to yet another foster family, one in which there was the chance of adoption. The couple, Graeme and Julie Sands, were very old-fashioned and in their late thirties. They could not naturally have children and there was no threat of Godric being moved out due to another child. He grew to love the Sands and Julie even persuaded him to call her 'mummy'- much to Graeme's disapproval. The couple would argue, on and off, but it was a generally stable home.
However, in September of 2034, only days before Godric was due to start at the local infant school, Graeme and Julie split up. Knowing that their divorce was going to be a messy one and not wanting Godric to get caught up in the middle of it all, the couple gave Godric back up for adoption. Asha Adams still had contact with Godric via the children's home, and she decided to apply to become his full-time guardian. She was successful in this and Godric soon settled down into life with Asha at her snug little home in Yorkshire. She did not have any living relatives to support the two of them, though she had a good circle of friends who helped her out when she needed a break. Godric was always a very happy child in Asha's company and though he looked upon her as a mother figure, she did not encourage him to call her so, but instead address her by her name, not wanting to falsely lead him on.
