Ainslee sat calmly and poised as she stared at the skyline of New York city and the Brooklyn bridge from the premises of the Woolworth Tower Kitchen. Beside her is her assistant, a witch name Meredith who both work for her and her brother. It came to her attention that Jessica Fields was frequently seen visiting Brightstone village whenever her niece's school was free to visit. She, her brother and mother were concern about Jessica's motives and was somewhat afraid she might steal Teagan from them. So, with their influence with the higher court of both United Kingdom and New Zealand, Ainslee had obtained a restriction order faster than a road runner. It wasn't ideal for the wizarding world but at least they can make sure she's safe with the hands of the muggle law enforcement.

The Ministry employee came to New York city to give the two papers face to face. Ainslee will not send it by owl or the royal mail, this was too personal for her. If she could just obliviate her niece or ask her boyfriend to do it, but it was unfair for the kid. Although, Teagan's having problems at school and Ainslee thinks that it was caused by seeing Jessica. "Your ladyship, you have a four o'clock afternoon tea with the husband of the Lord Mayor of Wakefield. Should we postpone it?" Asked Meredith as she looked at the laptop she brought with her. "No, it's only three o'clock back home. We can make it. This won't take awhile." Ainslee stated, not bothering to look at Meredith as she spoke.

Jessica arrived outside of the Woolworth building on time for work. Her department has a big case again of illegal magical artifacts being sold in New York and California. Posing them as art gallery displays. Busy on her phone call for a hotel reservation next week to see her daughter in York, she was about to tell the doorman the code to get into the MACUSA headquarters. "Ma'am, a lady came by asking to meet her at the restaurant up the building." The doorman with a Southern accent said. Jessica was confused and curious. She ended the call and thanked the doorman with the information. Instead of getting in on the small door, she got in on the rotating door.

The inside lobby didn't change and immediately got in to an elevator going to the restaurant above. Jessica's curiousness was still visible but there was already a hint of anxiety on her face. The elevator stopped to her designated floor and it opened to a vast, full of white cloth dinning table and elegant restaurant. The MACUSA employee have no clue who she was meeting here and so, she asked the man in the waiting area. "I'm here to meet someone. My name's Jessica Fields." She informed. The man simply smiled and pointed at the table on the left by the floor to ceiling window. Her gaze followed where he was pointing and spotted her least favorite person in the world.

Jessica thanked the man and walked to were he had pointed. "I'm assuming you're here for something?" She asked once she was in front of them. Jessica noted that Ainslee's trusted secretary was there. "Modern for a witch are we?" Her voice quiet as she made the remark.

At last, the person of interest have arrived. She looked up to Jessica and smiled politely at the woman. Ainslee wanted to start off as nice as possible because either way, Jessica doesn't have an objection on this one. She took a manila folder from the empty seat on her right and placed it on Jessica's supposedly plate to eat on. "I'll cut to the chase, Ms. Fields. Inside this folder, is graced by King William and the higher magistrates of United Kingdom and New Zealand. A restraining order." As she told her this, Ainslee leaned back on her seat and folded her arms in front of her chest. "If you asked why, I have an answer for you and I've actually memorized them too." The brunette cleared her throat and continued, "My niece doesn't want to see you or your sister. She told us that you've been stalking her every time she visits the village near the school. She feels threaten and my brother doesn't want that. So, we all know what a restraining order means." Ainslee wasn't feeling guilty, Jessica deserved it. She felt her stomach and it reminded her that because of Jessica, her first child didn't even get to see its parents.

"You have to stay away from Teagan within a hundred feet. You cannot own any firearms. You can't contact her even owl post is prohibited and most importantly ... You can't see Teagan anymore. If you have any further question you have to talk to Devlin." Ainslee sigh and looked concerned but then it was fake. Why should she be concerned of her? She had a choice over the years to tell the truth and she didn't do it."If you violate any of these don'ts, it's not just you who will get in trouble. If Devlin see it fit, he will obliviate the child's memory of you and your sister and any bad memories she had on you." She added as she leaned forward to make sure Jessica can hear her. "You don't want to mess with us. If I were you, for the safety of my child, I'll stay here in New York." Here whisper was more a mock. Ainslee had never used her position before and it feels good for once.

Of course, her statement about Ainslee's secretary was ignored as the daughter of the late Marquise went into business mode suddenly. The MACUSA employee was curious and confused when Ainslee toss a manila folder in front of her. Jessica placed her bag on the floor and sat first before getting the folder and opening it. Anger just rolled into her silently as her eyes read the restraining order, she could hear Ainslee summarizing what's in it. "I'm appealing this to the two courts. You can't just take away my daughter from me. I'm sorry if you lost your own but I've paid all the things that we've done to your family." Jessica stated, tears rolling down her cheeks. She had not been the best Aunt when everything was still a lie and she will not do the same now that Teagan knows who she was.

But her burden didn't stop there as she mentioned obliviating her daughter. Are they really that desperate to keep Teagan than they'll result to wiping her daughter's memory of them? Jessica thought, her expression disgust. She won't back down this battle. In the eyes of all gods she's the mother and nobody else. "What you'll be doing is illegal both in the muggle world and the wizarding world. Ainslee, stop these nonsense. It's not worth it." The blonde wiped her tears away and sigh to calm herself down. Jessica wants everything to stay as it is. Calm. "If my daughter doesn't want to see me anymore ... I should hear it from her instead. Arrange a meeting for me and her in London. If you don't agree to it, I'll find the best lawyers out there that doesn't give a crap of whoever is their against with." She knows a few people that can do the job. She will also consult with her own office about the matter.

Ainslee scoffed as she listened at the woman's statement. She didn't care whatever the woman was thinking. The story here wasn't about her but Teagan's, the kid had enough torture for years and it had got to stop. "Pardon for interrupting, your ladyship. I'm only inserting the legal process here." Ainslee's secretary said. She nodded to Meredith to go on, "Not only you, Miss Fields, did a signed muggle agreement that states you giving up your daughter one day after giving birth. You also went to perform the unbreakable vow as stated by your former housekeeper who came up to us willingly. Now that the charade is over, that vow is no longer existing and you're very confident to get the Countess. But the power of attorney that you signed still exist and is well up to date." Meredith provided a copy of the said contract and handed it to Jessica. Ainslee smirked, no one can doubt now that every Maxwell has a Ravenclaw blood on them. They were smart, always looking into legal stuff. Her brother was just a stupid teenager back then but they learned.

"Contest if you want but I doubt you'll win against us. You should be talking to your sister instead. She messed you up, took you to the ground with her and what did you get? Nothing." Jessica's time was over and she'll no longer have anything to say. "We will give you permission to contact her via her school but it is up to her if she wanted to see you after school was over. You had your chance early on but now it must be too late. I have one last advice for you though ..." Ainslee trailed off as she stood from her seat. Meredith shadowing her action. "If you're thinking to have another child ... don't." And with that, Ainslee and Meredith left Jessica as they left the restaurant and into the lift.

Jessica's attention went to Ainslee's secretary when she inserted herself and was given permission by Ainslee. The auror listened, she can't believe how organized their party of legal things. When she got handed the papers she signed many years ago, that's when she regret the decisions she had made for her daughter. But with all things, Jessica was still given the opportunity to contact Teagan to ask a very difficult situation for a parent. The auror can't even us the label 'Parent' as she wasn't one legally. And it hurts to hear Ainslee say that she shouldn't have kids, maybe she was right, Jessica thought. The woman wiped her tears and instead of going to work, she head home in North Carolina where Teagan was born and she first held her.
