Nobody Marsters let her legs shake from nerves, unable to hold back the fear she had for this doctors appointment. She knew that there was obviously something wrong with her. She had passed out again, third time in the past two weeks. It wasn't like she wasn't eating enough, though she had to admit when she did she didn't use the most nutritious food sources. Her life style didn't exactly pay her well enough to eat something from every food group every single night. Not that she could really complain too much. As long as she was eating that was what mattered. She wondered if things would be different if Yosif had come with her, if he had not decided to leave - had she tried harder. Nobody had little more time for those thoughts when a nurse called her name and lead her back to a room. She was weighed and the nurse ran through routine questions, before letting her know that her healer would be right in.

Then she was gone, and Nobody was again alone with her thoughts. The blonde stared at her own hands. The veins beneath them. They were blue, vibrant against pale skin. She supposed maybe she needed to eat more meat, that's what she was always told back in the tribe. She supposed a hamburger a week probably was doing her no good. She had always been rather sickly though - more so that her tribe sister Solstice. She was always vibrant, bright pink in the cheeks. Nobody's face was permanently flushed, as if she had seen a ghost. She looked across the room into the mirror that was above the sink. She wondered if perhaps she used to be more vibrant, heat in her cheeks when he was near her. Heart fluttering, rather than dull beating as it was now. She sighed, a light tap on the door distracting her for a moment as she answered to the doctor to come in.

Yesterday had been a mellow, slow paced day so when Jucinda kept her hopes high that today would turn out the same, she ended up with a feeling of disenchantment clouding her mind. Her first appointment of the day was one she had to break unfortunate news to a family of their relatives' illness, and if watching the eyes of one family lose their light in the space of a few seconds was not heartbreaking enough, her second appointment promised a similar outcome. While Jucinda was naturally a cheerful person, and able to keep up an optimistic facade when delivering bad news that usually broke families apart, any optimism and promise for the future she gave to her patients was never completely genuine and not once did it make her demanding job any easier. All she could do was try not to break professionalism and look on the bright side no matter how intense her instinct was to comfort the people whose lives she might have just shattered in a million pieces. She shook her head after the family left, and attempted to swallow the growing lump in her throat in a momentary break before she picked up her clipboard and left her office to arrive to her second appointment in an examination room. Once she knocked on the door and the patient gave her the all clear she walked into the room with the same reassuring yet professional expression she perfected over the years.

"Good morning Nobody." She smiled as sweetly as she could given the circumstances. The conclusions she had drawn from tests a few weeks ago and tests earlier in the day, was that this young woman appeared to have a severe case of anemia. Although this illness was far from terminal and treatable in the long run, the symptoms of it were inhibiting and could render the most active of people completely useless with constant feelings of fatigue among many other debilitating symptoms. "Would you like to sit down?" The twenty nine year old decided to attempt to make her patient comfortable before she cut to the chase and broke the news early, so she could put a semi-positive spin on things and focus on giving Nobody information on how to handle the anemia and avoid fainting in the future rather than drawing focus to the fact she was ill in the first place. "To put it simply, it seems like you have a severe case of anemia that is primarily caused by a lack of nutrition." She looked down to her clipboard, laden with notes on the young woman's condition and possible paths for treatment. "It may sound daunting, but I promise you anemia is not permanent and completely treatable if you take the right medicines and maintain a healthy lifestyle." Jucinda looked up from her clipboard towards Nobody so she could gauge the other woman's reaction before continuing. After eight years on the job, Jucinda still chose to tread with caution when seeing new patients because there was no way of predicting a person's reaction after being told they are suffering from an illness, even now Jucinda chose not to break her cautious habit no matter how much of a kind person Nobody seemed to be.

Nobody moved to stood up a little taller when the doctor knocked. She hoped that she could look a little bit more brave than she was. She supposed she was only nervous because she was in a doctor's office. After all, the doctor's office seemed to always be so white, so uninviting and cold. She glanced over at the woman who entered, and gave her what she could for a smile. It was obvious that she was nervous, despite her attempts at not looking so. She had to admit that the doctor was slightly comforting. She came in with an aura of sweetness. When the nurse offered her a seat her smile completely faded and essentially dissipated from her face. She knew it was never a good thing when asked to take a seat. She took a breath and did so. Many options flew through her head. Her loss of weight, the dullness of her hair and nails. What if she had cancer, or was only going to live for a bit longer. What if she was sick because of heart break, something that couldn't be healed. She braced herself as the doctor once again began to speak.

Nobody wasn't entirely sure what the anemia was, she had never really heard of it before. She waited got the woman to finish before she began to ask questions. Even then she had to take a moment to think about what she was going to ask. "It is treatable, and that is relieving. I am more than prepared to do what it takes to become healthy, but what lifestyle changes to I need to make, and what exactly is anemia?" She didn't mean to ramble so much. Often times her culture said that rambling was not an attractive trait - Yosif did before. She found it attractive. She was always an outsider in her culture though. She felt a bit of heat come to her face with those thoughts, but did not cry. She felt so helpless in this situation. She then asked the next, and possibly more serious question. "What will it cost for me to get better?"

Jucinda nodded as Nobody began to ask questions, before she opened her mouth to answer in her usual reassuring tone. "You don't need to make many changes." She began to list everything her patient needed to do in order to treat her condition. "Right now, all you need to do is take a blood replenishing potion twice a month." She glanced down at her clipboard before looking back to Nobody and continuing. "At the same time, you should gradually bring more iron into your diet so when you stop taking the potions you will be able to maintain a healthy iron level." The treatment was simple, and wouldn't take a great deal of difficulty to correlate into Nobody's daily routine. At least that's what the healer assumed. "As for the cost, one potion is worth thirty-five Galleons, so two potions per month would cost you seventy galleons." She clutched her clipboard to her chest and smiled, allowing a minute of silence to fall so Nobody could take in every word Jucinda said and understand what she needed to do in order to get better. When Jucinda thought enough time had passed she spoke again. "Do you have any other questions?" She asked with the same polite smile on her face. Jucinda wanted to answer every question Nobody might have, in the hope her patient would leave without worry and know that if she stuck to her assigned treatment she would be fine in due time.

Jucinda smiled when Nobody nodded and assumed that meant she was taking in all the information of how to begin treatment and eventually regain her health. Nobody then shook her head which Jucinda again made an assumption about. She assumed it meant Nobody had no further questions so she promptly turned to the examination room door and opened it so her patient could leave. "Have a nice day!" Jucinda called as she watched the other girl walk away, before continuing with the rest of her day's work.
