There was a loud crack heard in Obsidian Habour that night. The noise came from a dark alleyway where a young woman had just apparated too. Emerging from the shadows the young woman walked into the moonlight. Patricia had never been out in Obsidian this late at night before but she had found the perfect opportunity at home and grasped it. She never expected to have as much hassle when it came to moving out as she had experienced over the past few days. She had packed most of her things when she had gotten home from school and with the chaos of Niccy giving birth to not one but two twin girls she hadn’t gotten round to telling her parents yet. She had gotten side tracked though with her new baby sisters. Sure she already had Kailie but to have a baby sister from birth was different. Patricia was surprised that Niccy had given birth to surprise twins again. Patricia wondered if the Healers at St Mungos knew what they were doing at all and hoped that if she were ever in that situation next year after her graduation when she hopefully became a healer that she would be able to be as accurate to her patients as possible. Once everything in the Manor had settled down a bit she had finally got around to tell her parents about her plan to move out and to her surprise they downright refused, she was even more surprised by her father’s immediate dislike to the idea; she didn’t know his reasons and probably never would. She had sent an owl to Luna and told her that she may be a few days late but she had sent her things on over in advance anyway because nothing was going to stop her from moving out. She was seventeen now, an adult, and had been given the chance to move in with one of her best friends so she didn’t know how it was such a big deal.

For the past few days Patricia had tried to apparate to Luna’s but had always ended up getting caught so she had gave it a break for a while to make her parents think that she had given up. Although she now decided to try it at night and not go straight to Luna’s house in hope to throw whoever her father had sent after her tonight, off. Taking advantage of the quiet night she walked around the harbour, Patricia pulled her thick cardigan around her a bit more to warm her up on the cool night. It was pretty late and Patricia thought that the place was pretty much deserted so she took the time to clear her head.

Yvo really liked to wander around at night. Not only was it way more peaceful then it was during the day and all crowded with people, but he just got such a rush of adrenalin when he was out and about at a time like this. Plus he knew it would upset his mother a lot more then him giving her an attitude would. He hated her to no end but continued to live with her because he frankly felt that she needed someone to yell at. Why not allow her to yell at someone who never really paid attention to anyone he didn't like. Really, no one would ever believe how much he was able to zone out in class because he hated listening to the Teachers babble on and on. Yet he still got really nice marks as well as very good NEWT scores. Guess someone didn't need a teacher to learn something afterall. Then again this was just Yvo who was likely to see something once and remember it forever. He wasn't quite sure if he should view that as a curse or a blessing yet as some things in his life he really would rather forget about but still remembered to this day. The street was quiet ad Yvo walked down it without little care in the word of him getting attacked or something like that. He hand this awesome stick-like thing called a wand so he wasn't really worried. Besides with the fancy suit he was wearing people would more than likely just assume he was an adult anyways. He had come straight from a family dinner with his entire family so he wasn't really looking forward to staying at the House. And that was what brought forth the the random walk at night, he always went out when he was bored or didn't want to deal with his mother. Which had been happening a lot ever since his father had died.

As Yvo continued to make his way down the streets lazily he froze when he heard someone else walking. Summoning his wand to his hand he cast Lumos and watched at the streets instantly lit up and he could see a figure headed this way. When he advanced toward the figure and saw it who it was he grinned. He knew who she was, she was that pretty girl he accidently nailed with a book. Also one that he had been writing with every once and awhile. "Well hey is it isn't Miss Runaway Styx. What brings a lovely lady like you out on these streets during this hour?" Yvo casually tucked his hands before his head as he called out to her. Teasing her only slightly but enough to maybe get her talking or riled up. He thought it was so funny when girls got all riled up. Though he didn't have much room to talk about being out at this time of night. He was always out here.

Patricia continued to walk around the Harbour, surprised that there weren’t more people around at this time at night. It was so calm and quite lovely compared to the hustle and bustle of the day time. Patricia only found herself going around Obsidian Harbour during the day when she had to get something as she preferred to avoid the hassle that was insured when going around the main shopping areas during the day, more so during the holidays when the students from Hogwarts were out of school and had to buy school supplies. That reminded her that once she got settled into her new place, and she would get moved into her new place because she was an adult now and there was nothing her parents could do from stopping her from moving out – she would have to go shopping for her new school supplies. Patricia couldn’t believe that she was going into her seventh year soon. It was seven years ago that she had found out about the Wizarding world and her life as she knew it had been turned upside down, quite literally. Everything she thought to be true had been questioned and mostly proven to be wrong and even things that she thought were lies and made up like all the mythology books she read, the likes of Merlin all turned out to be true. It had been a rollercoaster of good times and bad times, experiences; good and bad; and so much more over the past seven years but she wouldn’t have changed any of it. As she had time to think about things she figured that a lot of things that she experienced over the past seven years were normal teenage things, and on the odd occasion had a magical twist to it all. Although Patricia had become accustomed to the magical side of things but the teenage drama that followed was never something one could ever really get used too. She wondered what it would be like in the muggle world; a lot of it might be the same but from what her letters from her muggle friends said it looked like they were going through a lot of the same things. Patricia missed them a lot and she couldn’t wait to go home and see them again, now that she could apparate she would be doing it a lot more frequently and now that she was an adult and perform magic outside of school she felt it was the right time to tell them about what she had been doing in New Zealand for all this time.

Patricia came out from her train of thought when she saw a light emerge from before her. She stopped for a moment wondering if she had been found already. Sighing she walked forward a bit more to see who it was and was happily surprised to see that it in fact wasn’t any of her family members but her good friend, Yvo. She let out a sigh of relief as she closed the gap between them more so. She rolled her eyes softly at Yvo’s remark; she would hardly class herself as a runaway although the evidence did speak for itself. “Well if you must know I’m trying to get away from my family. I’m supposed to be moving in with my friend from school but my parents are being completely unreasonable about it.” she said with a hint of annoyance in her voice at her last few words. “What about you? Or is just another of your random wanders?” she asked, her mind subconsciously one of the random facts about Yvo that Ariah had told that day in the owlery.

Yvo snorted softly when Patricia said that she was trying to get away from her family because they were being unreasonable about her moving in with her friend. So she had one of those really difficult families too? It was almost relieving to find a connection with someone that wasn't a sibling. "Really? I'm sorry to hear that...what are they doing? Chaining you to furniture or something?" Yvo tried to soothe the atmosphere a little with a small crack of a joke but really he understood her completely. His parents never, well his mom never, let him do anything fun. It was all about rules and doing what she wanted to do and when she wanted to do it. She must have been a tyrant as child. Like one of those little kids that needed to be shoved into a cupboard or something to save some sanity of those around it. Yvo's dark green eyes glanced around the area carefully. Hopefully Patricia's parents weren't sketchy enough to come hunting her down or anything, some parents were by far even more crazy then their children. Not that Patricia was crazy or anything. "Maybe they just think they'll miss you too much so they don't want you to leave? I guess some parents are like that." He shrugged his shoulders. His mother wasn't nor was his deceased father but he wasn't exactly complaining. He had Ariah to care for him and the love and care of at least once person was enough to not bother him for attention. He used to have a few friends too but since he's Graduated and moved up he didn't really need a reason to talk and be around them as much anymore. Ariah wasn't going to be moving in with Colton too, there was just a lot that he was losing. The aliens were obvious up to something up there. He knew they were just waiting to do something spooky and annoying, cause Aliens were just like that.

"Well...I kind of got tired of my mom yelling at me to be normal. Then decided I wanted to take a walk in the night. I like walking around. Join me if you'd like...I promise I won't get us lost or anything." He told Patricia with a small snickers before he motioned for her to follow him down the ally. He knew this place like the back his hand so he never had to worry about taking the wrong turn or getting lost. Some nights he was out here until the sun rose in the morning. Then he usually took a nap in the grass or somewhere under a bridge. So long as he didn't have to go home. He liked the outdoors anyways. Always gave him a good feeling.

Patricia glared softly at Yvo as he snorted when she told him that she had been trying to get away from her family. She, of course, could see the funny side to the whole thing but she was starting to find it a bit annoying. She was an adult now so she didn’t know why her parents were so dead set against letting her move out, it was giving her a headache. She appreciated that Yvo was trying to cheer her up, Luna had been fairly understanding about the whole thing but she did feel bad for letting her friend down and keeping her waiting because in all fairness Luna did need someone now. She had just broken up with Angus and Patricia didn’t like to leave her on her own, it was all well and good during the day when they could go shopping or when Luna kept her company at work but it was at night. Patricia knew Luna wouldn’t do anything stupid but she had been so much in love with Angus and for so long, it had to be hard on the poor girl. Try as she might Patricia couldn’t help but let a small laugh escape her lips at Yvo’s attempt a joke. “No, not yet anyway.” she said with a roll of her eyes, not quite putting it past her parents to actually do that. “Somehow they keep finding me and forcing me to go back. I swear my brother is a stalker or something, he can always find me.” she said, shaking her head. She loved Hades to death but his ‘special talent’ was really starting to annoy her. She listened to Yvo’s reasoning behind why he thought her parents weren’t letting her move out. True some parents were like that but for some reason she couldn’t imagine her parents to be like that, especially not her father – Niccy might possibly think like that but she seriously had enough on her plate with her own children so she didn’t need another one hanging about, taking up space. “Possibly, but I’ve only been living with them on a permanent basis for a little over a year now. They couldn’t have become that attached.” she said, almost as if she was trying to make herself believe her words.

Patricia frowned noticeably when Yvo told her why he was out at this time. She felt bad for him that his mother treated him so badly. “I’m sorry, Yvo.” she said with sincerity in her voice. She felt bad that seemingly her parents loved her so much that they didn’t want her to move out where Yvo seemed to have a hard time getting along with his mother. When he told her that he liked to walk around she refrained from saying, ‘I know’ as it was one of the things that Ariah had told her about Yvo that day in the Owlery. When he asked if she would like to join him she figured that she had spent this long not getting to Luna’s that she may as well waste some more time. “I’d love to.” she said with a smile. “You better not.” she said nudging him lightly as she came to his side and continued to walk off in a random direction. “So what’s it like to be graduated?” she asked, knowing he had just finished Durmstrang.

Yvo couldn't resist a soft chuckle when Patricia told him that they always seemed to be able to find her. He knew all too well how that sort of thing worked and he thought it was funny that she went through the same thing he used to go through before he stopped caring and went onto other ways of trying so sneak past hos mother's guard. It made Yvo wonder about Patricia's family a little. Was it a big or small or small family? The blonde haired male could only guess big because otherwise they probably wouldn't able to keep such good track of her, right? "I have a good solution that may work to get them off your back..for awhile at least. Disguise yourself and run away to Germany. Okay I was kidding..I don't really know how to get your parents to back of...I don't even know how to get my mom off my back." Yvo muttered under his breath as he tried think of ways he avoided confronting his mom and having her completely ruin his life by always being in his face. But the more he thought about it the more he realized that she never really left him alone. He needed to get a job and get out of there while he still could, before she tried to sell his body on the black market. His mom seemed like the type to do that sort of thing. Thankfully he had never had a girlfriend or anything because bringing a girl home to meet his mom would probably be something close or similar to hell on earth. Yvo wondered if Patricia had a boyfriend. Wouldn't hurt to ask. Do you have a boyfriend.." It took Yvo a second but then re realized that this probably sounded really wrong. "Oh er...okay that came out wrong. Um..I'm definitely not asking you out or anything..I'm just wondering because sometimes parents really like to invade when it comes to relationships." Strike number one. Although Yvo usually was careful and observant about what he said, not everything came out the way he wanted it to sound. He definitely was not looking to relationships with a girl or anything. To him ninety percent of all woman could be a huge pain in the butt sometimes. Why try to get involved with one that may be in that percent range of being a huge pain in the side.

"I'm used to it, I kind of just block her out now. But hmm..what is it like...boring. Really boring. I don't see my friends much anymore, I have no reason to go out, and well..now I have to look for a job. It's sooooo...boring. Don't.ever.Graduate." He warned Patricia as walked with her. He knew that she was a Seventh year so she didn't really have much time left before she was in the same situation that he was in. He figured that she actually wanted to Graduate, they all wanted to Graduate. Hell he even wanted to Graduate until he actually did, and now he wanted to take it back and go back to being a measly little student. The real world wasn't scary like everyone was just trying to make it, it was boring. Yvo was looking forward to getting a job in the ministry though. He had been studying hard for it, so he hoped it paid off in the end for him.

It was times like this that Patricia had regretted moving out of her muggles parents house to live with the rest of her magical family, and she rarely regretted the move. On the contrary, she knew that the move was the best for her and she relished the fact that she got to live closer to the rest of her friends, her school and in a household that magic was being used daily. Although recently she was regretting it because her parents seemed to be too overprotective and downright refusing to let her move out and live with her friend whereas her real mother was almost accepting of when Patricia had to move out – true it wasn’t the same thing but it was close enough to work for her. When Yvo said that he had an idea as to how she could fix this situation she listened intently. She was all ears for any advice and she’d take any that was given to her. The young woman listened to her friends’ suggestion and had to think for a moment if he was actually being serious. Thankfully he told her that he was joking so she didn’t feel as bad when she let out a few giggles. “It’s alright, Yvo. I actually feel a whole lot better, thank you.” she said with sincerity in her voice, she hadn’t felt this relaxed and happy in a while and she knew it was thanks to Yvo. Patricia’s smile turned into a small frown when Yvo mentioned his mother. She didn’t know the full extent of what his mother was like but she knew enough from what Yvo had said that she wasn’t a particularly nice woman and that was enough for her. Normally Patricia would try and give advice to some people but she was in a situation somewhat similar to Yvo and she couldn’t help herself so she knew no matter what she said, she wouldn’t be able to help Yvo. “At least you’ve graduated. Once you get a job it’s bound to be easy for you to get out.” she said, assuming that’s how it worked for most people, even in the Wizarding world. She wondered if she left it to the end of her last year at Hogwarts would her parents be any easier to work with and let her move out but that train of thought came to an abrupt stop when she heard Yvo’s question. Looking at him with a mixture of surprise and confusion she blinked a few times. Out of all the questions he could have asked at that moment in time he asked one that Patricia never expected. Before she could answer his question he continued to talk and Patricia felt a bit more relaxed as she he explained himself, she felt something else but couldn’t place it so she dismissed it. “Oh! Well no, I don’t have a boyfriend.” she told him. “Although I can see where you’re coming from. I think dad would probably freak if I told him I had a boyfriend.” she said with a small laugh, amused at the thought of what her dad’s face would be like.

Patricia listened to what Yvo had to say about him being graduated. She couldn’t help but let out a small laugh. She could understand how it must be boring. With school you had a set schedule everyday and with all of the work you had to do it was hard to not find anything to do most of the time. When he told not to graduate she laughed again. “Thanks for the advice, Yvo but it’s a little late...unless I fail my NEWTs.” she said, shuddering slightly at the thought of it, she would hate to fail her exams. “I see where you’re coming from though. Even now I can’t think of what it’s like to be graduated. I’m going to miss Hogwarts sooo much.” she said with a small frown. “Although I am excited to start fulfilling my career dreams. What do you want to do?” she asked, knowing he had to look for a job she wondered if he had any ideas as to what he wanted to do yet or was he still looking.
