Sebastian stood at the window of the joke shop, wondering whether he should go inside and look at some of the prank items. He missed pulling pranks with his friends and the laughter that came when a joke was pulled off successfully. Somehow, he didn't think it would be a good idea, but having seen his prankster friends earlier in the day, Sebastian could feel the old pull to do something that could get him into trouble. He was probably already in trouble anyway because he technically wasn't supposed to leave the country during their weekends. The school never said he couldn't though, so....

He had been trying to be on his best behavior though, especially since his best friend was a prefect and he didn't want to pull her into any trouble he may get into. Thinking about her, Sebastian looked across the street where Honeyduke's was and wondered if he should get something for the two friends to share.

Pulling out a knut, Sebastian flipped it into the air, hoping to make his decision with the flip of a coin. His flip was a little too successful though and his coin ending up rolling down the street. Shaking his head, Sebastian began to walk toward it to retrieve it. Considering he got very little pocket money from his Gran, every little bit counted.

Kasey smiled as she entered the Brightstone village. The familiar feeling that the village held for all of them was just too good to be ignored. Many witches and wizards strolled in the village and it was crowded with students. She could smell the butterbeer in the broomsticks from where she stood. Taking a moment to absorb it all and decide where she would head first she noticed a knut roll down the street. It stopped right before her feet. Picking it up and cleaning away the dust around it, she scanned the area for its owner.

Spotting a boy, about her age tracing something she knew it was him. Walking up to him she smiled and spoke"You lost your Knut" putting her palm forward where the knut lay shining in the morning sun. "Saving every bit" she said with a grin. "Just the way it should be"

Watching as the knut finally rolled to a stop, Sebastian saw someone pick it up. Damn, he thought as his shoulders fell because he thought the person had the intentions of keeping it. He looked up to see that the person holding the knut was a pretty brunette about his age. He smiled at her comment as he took the coin back and slipped it back into his pocket. "Thanks" he said with a grin, "every little bit counts when your pocket money only comes once every few months."

Having the feeling that she was a local, Sebastian decided to ask her for some assistance. It was better than standing around not being able to come to a decision. Perhaps her help could make the decision for him. "Since you've been so helpful already, do you mind helping me some more?" he asked, wondering if the girl was on her way somewhere. "I've actually never been here before. Any places you recommend?" his green eyes looked hopeful as he waited for her reply.

Kasey would have laughed when he commented about his pocket money but she was well aware that it would have been considered rude so she just smiled. She heard the boy ask her for some help. "Of course, what can I do?"she asked with a friendly smile. Kasey was not in hurry since she was here to stroll and chill thus helping someone would always be her first priority especially when she could make friends with them.

"Ah!" she said grinning as he asked about the places she could recommend. "Well my favorite place to eat and drink is the Three Broomsticks, you get excellent butterbeer there"she briefed him. "Then there are sweet shops like Honeydukes, for shopping we have the General store and the Muggle market" she added pointing to the shops as she spoke of them. "What do you fancy doing right now?"she asked him curiosly. She wouldn't mind being a guide and would love to make a new friend from different part of the world and get to know about where he came from.

Sebastian thought he was pretty lucky to come across such a friendly person. He listened as she pointed out the places in the village to him and then asked what he wanted to do. "Definitely Honeydukes" he said eagerly because he could smell the chocolate and mint coming from the shop. The place was calling to him.

"I'm Sebastian by the way" he said holding out his hand, "Are you one of the Hogwarts students?" he asked, figuring that she was. He knew they had a free weekend where they were allowed off the school grounds this weekend because that was the whole purpose of his visit. He was supposed to meet up with an old friend later, one who he hadn't seen in nearly a year and a half.

Kasey smiled at Sebastian said that he would go to Honeydukes. "Thats definitely what attracts most" she said with a grin as she shook his hand. "I am Kasey"she said introducing herself to the boy. "Yes, I attend Hogwarts" she told him. By his accent as well his being new here he was definitely a foreigner, the question was, where from. Kasey wasn't good at recognizing accent so she asked him "Where are you from?"

Sebastian smiled as the girl introduced herself and then asked where he was from. It was a question that didn't have a very simple answer. "Accent throwing you off?" he said with a chuckle, still getting used to the fact that people thought he had an accent. He was a New Englander and having grown up there, it was normal for him to hear others speaking the same way he did. To him, it was these New Zealanders and the French especially who had accents.

" I actually go to Beauxbatons. I'm from Boston originally though. I just moved to France about 6 months ago" he said easily, revealing some of himself but still keeping a lot back. He wasn't in the habit of telling strangers his life story. "Do you mind not mentioning that to anyone?" he said nervously, realizing that she had just given away information that could get him in big trouble. "I'm kind of not supposed to be all the way over here" he added sheepishly.

Kasey nodded smiling back when he asked if she was confused by his accent. Hearing as Sebastian told her about his school and his recent shifting to France she smiled and said "Don't worry" She knew how it was for most teenagers roaming around after they had learnt apparation without proper permission.

"Shall we go to Honeydukes, I too have to refill my candy stock?"she asked Sebastian wondering if he would mind if they hanged out together for a while. It would be good to have friends in different part of world, you could learn about different cultures and new things and this brainy Ravenclaw wasn't going to miss that opportunity.

Sebastian's body relaxed as Kasey told him not to worry. He hadn't realized how tense he was until then. When she asked if they should head to Honeydukes, Sebastian nodded. "Lead the way, Kasey" he said as he began to follow her there.

"So...what house are you in? I think it's interesting that your school separates you guys, but doesn't it cause problems between all of you? " he asked curiously. He knew that the Hogwarts in New Zealand separated their students into different houses based on their qualities. His friend, Willow, was in Gryffindor though he didn't know what that meant. Maybe it had something to do with being a troublemaker. If it did, that was surely the house he'd be in if he were in the school.

Kasey walked beside Sebastian leading him to the crowded shops of Honeydukes. "I'm in Ravenclaw" she told Sebastian. Yes, it was definately intresting to be their own kind however it was true that it did bring differences at times. "No, not most of the time at least. However some people regard Hufflepuffs as good-for-nothing and Slytherin's as dark and all but thats only the minority. Most of us see it in a positive way because it brings competitiveness and then we play each other in Qudditch and compete for the House Championship" she explained. She knew Sebastian would have little knowledge about this since in his school there were no houses.

Entering the shop she smiled as the smell of candies reached her nasal cavity. "Yum!" she said smiling at the sight of all these candies. "Do you have any favorites?"she asked Sebastian.

Sebastian listened to Kasey's explanation as they walked toward Honeydukes. It was all even more interesting now that she had explained it some. His own school even without houses to separate them seemed to separate itself based on where people were from. Perhaps this way was better.

As they entered the shop, Sebastian took a deep breath. The smell of chocolate and sweets filled his nostrils and brought a smile to his face. He felt like a kid in a candy shop, which in fact he was. "Yes, I love the every flavor beans" he said, walking over to a display and picking one up. It was green and after looking at it for only a second, Sebastian shruggedd and popped it into his mouth. A look of disgust passed over his face as he continued to chew it though he really wanted to spit it out. "Yuck! Broccolli" he said. "What about you? What's your favorite thing?" he asked.

Kasey smiled as she watched Sebastian's face light up at the sight of candies. She grinned as he tried the green flavored bean. Laughing as she watched him say it was brocolli she said "They're my favorites too" Smiling as she picked up a light red and tried it. "Cherry" she said happily as she choosed a few packs of every flavored beans, chewing gum, chocolate frogs and sugar quills.

"There you go" she said to the friendly assistant who was another Hogwarts student. After they were done with their candies she asked Sebastian "So where to now? That is if you don't mind hanging out" she said with a smile as she shrugged a little before admitting "I've got no company"

Sebastian watched as Kasey picked up a red one, and wondered if she would be as unlucky as he was. "No fair!" he said, sticking his tongue out as she announced that hers was cherry flavored. He too picked up several packs of everyflavor beans and then went over to the chocolate frogs and picked some up as well.

Paying for his items after Kasey, they left the store together. When she asked if she could continue to go around with him, Sebastian nodded quickly and smiled. "I'd love that. I don't know anyone else around here and you've been pretty good company so far." He chuckled to let Kasey know he was just joking around. After checking his money bag and seeing that he didn't have much money left, Sebastian turned to his new friend with a grin, "Maybe somewhere cheap?"
