FULL NAME:
Freya Ragnhild Ødegard
NAME MEANING:From Old Norse Freyja meaning "lady". This is the name of the goddess of love, beauty, war and death in Norse mythology. From the Old Norse name Ragnhildr, composed of the elements regin "advice, counsel" and hildr "battle".
WHY:Her father had always been fascinated by the Norse mythology and knows almost everything there is about it. When he found out he would be having a daughter he insisted on calling her Freya because the name meant a lot to him. Freya's second name has in turn be chosen by her mother, who was not feeling ready to have a child. Not only that, but her pregnancy had not gone all too smooth and she had almost lost the baby. This all lead to her choice for Freya's second name, to remind both herself and the girl of the fact that things are not always easy but you need to fight through them.
NICKNAMES:Freya never had a lot of nicknames because being homeschooled she never truly had any friends. Her brother calls her Frey, so does her boyfriend.
BLOOD STATUS:Freya is a Half Blood witch. Her father is a Muggle and her mother is a Mixed-Blood witch.
HERITAGE:Norwegian. Both Freya's parents come from old, Norwegian families. This is something Freya has always been proud of.

Freya has blonde, wavy hair that reaches slightly past her shoulders. She loved to wear it in verious different ways when it was longer and still tries new things now that she wears it shorter. She especially enjoys hairstyles that involve any kind of braid, big or small, and has become skilled in these.
EYES:Her eyes are of a light shade of blue, with white speckled around the iris. In most of her physical aspects Freya is a lot like her mother and her eyes are one of the few things in which she resembles her father, which is why she liked them so much.
SKIN:Due to her roots her skin is of a fair, light tone and doesn't tan very easily. She can stand out next to her friends who tan more easily, but it's not something she has ever been bothered by.
WHICH HAND :Freya is right handed but can also do a lot with her left hand, including writing. This is something she taught herself when she was younger and was struggling with a broken right wrist. When her wrist had healed she continued practicing because she wanted to get it right.
ALLERGIES:Freya doesn't have any specific allergies that she knows of.
STYLE: Freya's style is very diverse and she will literally wear anything she wants. Her one condition is that it is comfortable and looks good. She would wear colours ranging from dark to light, but has always had a soft spot for pastel colours.

PERSONALITY:Freya is a kind and generous soul. Being homeschooled she didn't used to get out of the house much when she was younger, which is why she was mainly quiet when she got to hogwarts. Her mother had always had a great influence on Freya and being away from her for so long when she was at school has truly enabled her to develop herself. She gradually became more independent, daring, confident and in general more happy than she used to be. Freya is a loyal person and would always want to care and stick up for the people she cares about, not a stranger to putting others' needs and problems before her own. As an adult she finally feels like she is fully living her life and has definitely become a fun person to be around.
STRENGTHS:Reliable, optimistic, confident. She is a good person to have around and will always try to see things from a positive perspective, even if that becomes a hard thing to do.
WEAKNESSES:Freya is loyal to a fault when it comes to helping out others and caring for them, yet will not easily want to involve others into her own problems.
AMORTENTIA:She would smell the sweet scent of vanilla, new books and freshly made coffee.

EDUCATION:
Freya was homeschooled by her mother together with her brother. Their family moved around a lot when the kids were younger and their father did not want them to have to go to a new school everytime where they would have to make new friends only to eventually leave them.

HOUSE:Freya was sorted into Hufflepuff.
THOUGHTS:Freya has always been happy with being sorted into Hufflepuff. She enjoyed being in the house and felt like it had been the best fit for her.
FAVOURITE CLASS:She always enjoyed Transfiguration and Herbology.
LEAST FAVOURITE CLASS:Freya wasn't a big fan of Defence Against the Dark Arts.
OCCUPATIONFreya currently works at Honeydukes as its shopkeeper and manager.
PREVIOUS JOBS Freya worked a couple of different temporary jobs during her travels after graduation and even volunteered at a wildlife santuary. After travelling she worked for the Department of International Cooperation at the Norwegian Ministry of Magic.
