Fourth Years Lesson Six [Review]

Professor Adler was feeling a little better than last week, although she was sad that it would mean she was missing the last few hours she had available to work with the fourth years.

"Good morning everyone," Professor Adler smiled even though there was a sadness behind her eyes. "For our last class this semester, I would like you to do a writing exercise. This won't be graded so you don't need to worry about that, but it's good practice," The woman flicked her wand in the air and the parchment on her desk began to float its way across to the students, landing in front of them.

Questionnaire Lesson Six
1. In your opinion, which of the three Unforgivable Curses is the worst and why?
2. In most parts of the world, the punishment for using an Unforgivable Curse is imprisonment in Azkaban. Do you think this is justified or should the punishment be different?
3. Are there any spells (or other forms of magic) that you think should be considered unforgivable? Explain your reasoning.

Geo gave the students a moment to glance through their questionnaires, "Take your time on these, you've got the entire lesson to fill them out so think carefully about your answers. You're also welcome to discuss these with those sitting next to you," She wasn't going to request silence for their last lesson, and just wanted to make the most of the time they had left. "Next year, if you continue to take this subject you'll be taught by my husband, Professor James Cade, whom I'm sure some of you are well aware is also the Head of Gryffindor. He'll guide you through your OWLs and NEWTs, however my door is always open if anyone wants to visit and chat. It's been a pleasure teaching you these last few years, and I know that each and every one of you are going to go on to do amazing things," there may have been sadness behind her eyes but she was smiling proudly at the fourth years. She would miss teaching them.

Winnie walked into the defence against the dark arts classroom and took her usual spot in the class. She glanced at the paper in front of her, and then nodded, she took her time with it, but it wasn't too complicated, she thought a few of the answers were rather obvious. The worst was always death, the punishment suited the crime and no because if there were other spells they then would be unforgivables. She then handed it back into the professor and headed out of the room.

Lilith arrived to class, half expecting not to see Professor Adler present however she was glad the woman was there. Finding her seat she avoided the woman's gaze as she sat down and listened to the instructions. Staring at the little assignment in front of her she filled it in and on the way out dropped it on Professor Adler's desk, giving her a small tentative smile before walking out quickly.
Questionnaire Lesson Six
1. In your opinion, which of the three Unforgivable Curses is the worst and why? Either cruciatus or imperius curse, I just think it's awful to be able to torture someone either by using pain or their minds against them with imperius.
2. In most parts of the world, the punishment for using an Unforgivable Curse is imprisonment in Azkaban. Do you think this is justified or should the punishment be different? I think it is justified, if you use one of these curses I don't think you should be around other people.
3. Are there any spells (or other forms of magic) that you think should be considered unforgivable? Explain your reasoning. Some of the prank jinxes definitely are questionable, now do I consider them in the same line as unforgivables? Maybe not precisely but I don't think they should be classified as just prank ones. Also misuse of transfiguration I would consider unforgivable. If you transfigure another living person to a statue? That's pretty inhumane.

Susie was glad to see this week, Professor Adler seemed to be feeling much better, although not better enough to stop her from giving them more homework. The Hufflepuff worked quickly to fill out her questionnaire, wanting to make a good impression on the woman given it was their last lesson together before she moved up to Professor Cade's class instead. Once she was finished, Susie handed in her sheet and smiled at her teacher, hoping she'd be able to stop by her office for a chat every now and then.

Amory was running late for his Defence against dark arts lesson, which wasn't a good sign. The Professor was his best friends mum and he'd do well to stay in her good books. As he arrived to the room he was glad to see the class wasn't to far in, matter of fact he was only five minutes late. Maybe he'd get the Professor some flowers as an apology for his behaviour. Giving the woman a grin as he found his seat the Slytherin sat down quietly and stared at the quiz in front of him. Well well well, might as well fill it in just to make sure he really was in the woman's good books. Or at least somewhere close to them! At the end as he made his way out the classroom he stopped by Professor Adlers desk, "So sorry Professor, I ran into some unfortunate firs year who'd gotten lost on her way to class. I promise to be more punctual next year, even if you won't be there to witness it.." It wasn't a lie, he'd helped a fellow Slytherin out. One he was pretty sure was somehow related to Felix's new girlfriend, or whatever hat Gryffindor was to his other best friend. Man these things were confusing.
