Kaia Lutrova yawned sleepily as she ascended the stairs of the North Tower. Usually Kaia spent the afternoon reading in the Common Room until she got hungry or fell asleep. But today it seemed that the other Ravenclaw students had the same idea she did. 'I'm not really sure how half of the students in there were even sorted into Ravenclaw in the first place.' Kaia rolled her eyes. Okay so she had been a bit moody lately and all, but still. Was a bit of quiet time too much to ask for? Apparently to them it was because a whole group of them decided to sit there and do nothing but talk loudly about their pointless lives. Kaia wondered if people ever sat down and just listened to themselves speak. It would likely open their eyes to how small their lives actually seemed compared to the big picture. Kaia nearly smirked at her own thoughts. There she was, sounding like she was some wise old man who knew everything. When really Kaia knew absolutely crap about anything. Kaia was only fifteen years old. She didn't know crap about love, about life, even about herself truly. Who was she to say that she knew someone that she didn't live in the shoes of for a day? Kaia wish she knew why Zayne was upset with her. She tried thousands of times so say that she knew why he did what he did. Was it him being ungrateful? Scared? Or even him being selfish? But Kaia wasn't Zayne. So she didn't know. All she knew was what she was feeling. Hurt. He was supposed to be her best friend. She told him secrets about her life, hell she even shared macaroni and cheese with him and she shared that stuff with no one. So obviously he was important to her. Then he went and did this sort of thing. Kaia wanted to be friends with him against, they've been friends since their first year at Hogwarts. Did three years honestly mean so little to him. Kaia settled herself upon ledge next to the stone window that overlooked the grounds of the castle. It was sort of peaceful here. Kaia clutched the book in her hand tightly until she was able to place it in her lap. The ledge had just enough room for her to sit on thankfully. This would be the perfect place to just sit and read.
Kaia felt like the days were slowing down on purpose. Testing her in any way possible. Any sanity she had left, it was planning on sucking out accordingly. 'I wish this year would hurry up and be over already.' Kaia thought to herself as she opened up the book to the page she was last on and started to scan the pages carefully. Whenever Kaia was upset or angry she often read. It was the only thing she could other that hit someone. Kaia turned the page and let eyes follow a couple of students as they passed her. They looked to be a couple of first years just hanging out. Kaia wished she had someone to do that with. 'I could always try to make some new friends. Even if I'm horrible at meeting new people and getting them to like me.' Thoughts clouded her mind and Kaia felt herself grow sleepy. All of this thinking was making her tired and grouchy. It would just be easier if she could be invisible or something. Then she wouldn't have to look at people and be worried about them looking at her and thinking about her. Kaia couldn't read. Her mind wouldn't shut up long enough for her to do so. There was just too much swimming around inside of there. A frustrated sigh escaped her pale lips and Kaia slammed her book shut. There was no point in reading right now. Her eyes closed for a moment. Just a moment. But that was what had Kaia remembered how tired she was. Both physically and mentally. It was harder to determine which one was stronger though. Kaia wasn't sure why her body wanted to sleep so badly, but it overpowered her will to read, which was pretty serious. Before Kaia was able to even realize it, she was fast asleep. Her small head resting up against the glass window and her book resting in her lap. Only Kaia would find this sort of place comfortable enough to take a nap on.
