It was already the start of Liam's fourth year at Hogwarts. It seemed like it was only yesterday that he attended the school. Time does fly really fast. However, unlike those overly emotional students, he wasn't feeling anything at all. He didn't particularly care whether being a fourth year meant that he'd be graduating soon. He didn't care about that at all. In fact, he would rather like it if he could force time to run faster just so he could get out of this cursed place. He didn't like staying here. Sure, there were a couple of people who were quite entertaining. However, the outrageous amount of stupidity that was surrounding the castle was something that he could not tolerate. He hated it.

The boy tossed on his bed. He had always thought that the Slytherin house wasn't bad at all. Merlin, he thought wrong. He should have expected that even this supposed to be really great house was infested with worthless trashes too. Rubbing the space between his eyebrows, the slytherin rose from his bed. He had things that he needed to do. Unlike those trash, he does value his time, thank you. He didn't want to waste any second of it at all.

Liam exited the room that he shared with the others. The common room was quite noisy for his liking. He Gave the occupants a glare. Some had tried to invite him over but the fourteen year old didn't even spare them a glance. The dungeon was cold and dark. If he wasn't sorted into Slytherin, he was quite sure that he would have gotten lost down here already. Those labyrinth of corridors could lead anywhere. He didn't dare explore them. Not because he was afraid for Merlin knows he didn't have anything to be scared of. Rather, it was because doing something as childish as that was unbecoming for someone like him.

Liam rounded the corner to the place where he had told Ai to meet him. The place was dark with only the torches on the wall illuminating it. He was a good meter away from the entrance which would lead to the dungeon. He didn't want anyone to interfere right now. The last time he had told Ai to met him at the Abandoned classroom, they were disturbed by a flea with a hero complex. Thus, when he owled her the letter instructing her meet him at a specific time, he made sure that it was at such a place where that boy wouldn't show up. The girl had done something that he'd never forget. She'd pay for that. He couldn't possibly give her the luxury of being forgiven for her mistakes. He knew that she was aware of that. However, he didn't think at all that she wouldn't show up. She had given him her words. Should she betray and disobey him, should she not arrive, he'd comb the whole castle and drag her down here.

He leaned at the cold stone wall. He was a few minutes early from the designated time. He didn't like tardiness after all. The place was quiet, devoid of any unnecessary noise. He could hear the sound of water dripping from the distance. He could even hear his own pulse. It was good. He liked the stillness around him.

Ai wasn't liking the start of her fourth year in Hogwarts. First off, she had a fight with Taylor Blare in the Northern Tower that resulted to Conan's anger on her to increase once again. Dear Merlin, since when have she not increased her twin's anger? Then along came the incident when Conan practically disowned her in front of her friend Jeremiah Raven. It seemed that the list of her troubles were endless! And then that horrid owl came at her window, once again bringing a note from her so-called master, Liam Nightray. Ai hated getting those notes, especially now. "He sure didn't waste any time to contact me, don't you think so? Hisa? Sadie?" she spoke to her pet cat and owl in the room. She was sure to get punished today for what happened in the Abandoned Classroom last school year.

Ai looked at the time, she still some time before she and Liam were supposed to meet. She took out a quill and parchment and began to scribble a note for Jeremiah. She promised to tell him if she were in trouble with Liam again, but she didn't want to break her word on the Slytherin too. She rolled up the little note stating the place and tied it to Sadie's leg. "Sadie, bring the note to Jeremiah if Hisa comes back here, alright?" she told the owl as she left the window open. Sadie was smart and Ai was sure her owl understood her as she picked her cat up and left the room, leaving it slightly open, just in case she makes her cat come back to her room.

The Hufflepuff began to hurry down to the dungeons, she wanted to avoid being late this time, especially now that she knew she would be having her punishment. She gulped thinking about it. Surely Hisa would be able to come back to her room, she always does. It was a funny sight how Hisa would go inside the common room in time with other Hufflepuffs. And she was sure her cat could do it again.

It wasn't long before the girl had arrived at the dungeons and she was only a minute from being late. She decided to run, cradling her cat in her arms as she looked through the tunnels. The young girl hated the dungeons, she easily gets lost there, and it was Slytherin territory. Definitely dangerous for a Hufflepuff such as herself. It took Ai a full three minutes to find Liam as she approached him, slightly catching her breath. "I... I'm here," she said, hoping that the Slytherin would be lenient on her two-minute tardiness.

Liam had his eyes closed as he lean on the cold stone walls of the seemingly endless labyrinth. A thousand of things were running in his mind and the stillness around him helped him think clearly. It was weird being back here at Hogwarts. He never did like it. He had already expected boredom and stupidity here, however, for the sake of getting stronger, he attended it. Merlin, how wrong he was. Sure, he did learn a lot of spells, but they were not even allowed to use the spells against their fellow students. How could he be sure of the extent of the effect of these spells if he could not test them out against a living person? He may not be 'that' violent but he at least, wanted to know how much he had improved. The slytherin crossed his arms in front of him, the seconds were ticking away and there were only a few minutes left before that time arrived.

The place continued to be engulfed in silence. No sound could be heard aside from his own breathing and the constant dripping of water from the distance. He didn't open his eyes, but with the way that his eyebrows were already pulling together, it was quite obvious that he was starting to get irritated. How could she be late again? Had she not learned her lessons? Was she really that stupid! He should not have associated himself with this girl. Her stupidity was highly unbelievable. If she had not wronged him in the past, he would not even want to be in the same place as her. Her stupidity could be highly contagious. He did not want to be like her. No. Not at all.

Just a few more seconds and the girl would indeed be late. Great. She was late. The boy pushed himself away from the wall and stood with one hand on his hip as he heard footsteps echoing from the distance. The footsteps were getting louder and just a few minutes after the designated time, the girl emerged from the corner. Alright, she was not that late unlike before. However, it did not change the fact that she was still tardy. Be it just a few minutes, what was late was late. Liam looked at her disdainfully. It was true. Once a trash, always a trash. His eyes then traveled down at the furry feline on her arms. Why did she have to bring such filthy creature with her? He scoffed and crossed his arms once again, glaring at the girl, daring her to speak. He need not say anything, she better know that she should explain her reasons right now. They better be good reasons, or else, this girl would really get what she deserved.

Ai didn't like the idea of meeting up in the dungeons. It was too dangerous for a Hufflepuff, especially since many Slytherins could pass by and she wasn't exactly the friendliest towards a number of Slytherins. But after what happened at the Abandoned Classroom, she was sure that she was in no position to decline and say 'no' to Liam's demands. Sure, it wasn't her fault that Jeremiah had intervened, wherein she was quite glad that he did, but if she weren't late, they would have finished their business quickly, but she just had to be tardy, just like she is today. And she knew she was in trouble as soon as he glared both at her and at Hisa.

"I was uh..." the Hufflepuff stuttered, unsure of what to say. Ai knew there was no way out of this but the truth of why she was late. "I got lost in the dungeons," she admitted. It was a lame reason. Why were her true reasons always lame? It always got her into trouble. Maybe she should consider coming up of a grand reason once in a while. The girl was quite surprised when the Slytherin was looking at her cat. Surely he was mad, but he shouldn't take it out on her pet. And he wouldn't, would he? "A-and Hisa wanted to come with me," she added softly, hoping it would save her cat from the certain doom.
