September 2036, Brightstone Weekend

Heath Erik James breathed took in the fresh air happily. It was so nice to be out of the castle, and it was even better to be away from fellow prefects and Ai. He missed his ex dearly, but it was impossible for them to get back together. They had grown up. He had even cut his precious hair! It was still irritating, but it was only because he could no longer play with it as he could when it had some length. With his hands stuffed firmly in his pockets, Heath began to walk the strip that was Brightstone. He could not withhold a sigh. He was just so empty. He put up this happy face with the younger years, so they could have a better experience at Hogwarts than he had or was having. He hated this place, and the only reason he was not dropping out was because of his older sister. She would not allow a dropout in her home. Luvesha was firm believer in education and finishing things that have been started. She could care less about his emotional or spiritual state of mind. She wanted him to have a chance in whatever world he decided to live in. Heath was good at fixing things, and he knew that he could do something with that. Hogwarts had nothing to offer him. He felt as if he had wasted seven years of his life. He regretted ever listening to Epiphany and giving magic a chance. She had not even stayed by him to help him figure out what was so great about it. The prefect felt robbed, humiliated, and rejected. Magic was not for him, and it took him to long to realize it. Now, he was going to be a nowhere near useful to anyone in the magical community.

Heath made sure to look at the ground. He did not want to catch eyes with anyone. He had found, recently, that his gaze had been lingering for much too long on people, male and female. It was because he was seeking companionship, but he was afraid of being ignored and a waste of time. His ex never meant to ignore him, but it had happened, and he let it go on for far too long. After a belated goodbye kiss, the two officially parted ways. He sauntered down the busy strip of land. He was walking aimlessly. He had nowhere to go. There were times when he wanted to walk and keeping walking without being interrupted. This proved to be unlikely to ever happen because someone bumped into him. He heard things fall to the ground. All he could do was sigh and emit something that sounded like a irritated growl from his lips. Being the lovely Hufflepuff he was, he bent down to assist the person in picking up their fallen objects. Heath did not do so with a happy face. It was more like a sour scowl.

Kyle walked ahead of his sister in a stormy silence. It was a daunting task they had ahead of them and her stopping to peak into every shop when they were on a schedule was rather irritating, and so after fifty minutes of her not focusing when it was her fault they were moving in the first place, he told her to grow up and to start taking responsibility.

He then had walked ahead his face fixated on papers, listing houses and apartments in the local area, a few of interest to him. It was because of this he ended up walking into a rather tall, grumpy sounding person and dropped all of his things. The guy, who sighed and made an irritated sort of noise was nice enough to help him gather his things, albeit looking fairly annoyed. So as Kyle bent over to pick up his stuff he mumbled an apology.

Heath avoided eye contact as much as possible. The papers he was helping pick up had pictures of houses. He swallowed the urge to pry. He tried to not let his curiosity get the best of him. Soon, he was no longer going to be a Hufflepuff. He was not going to be in the house for nobodies. However, it was awesome how they were in the lead in house points, despite the fact that they lost their first game. Sometimes his house was amazing, just sometimes. The man glanced up at the person who bumped into him. He was adorable.

What? Adorable? A guy? Heath immediately stood up, and he held the papers out to the guy. "You should watch where you are going next time." he said quietly. He felt like he was going crazy. He had never had thought like that before. It was so foreign to him, and it made him uncomfortable. Heath had a lot of things that he needed to think about. He felt like he was rediscovering himself. At Hogwarts, he had be stuck in this mindset that did not allow him any wiggle room. Ai had barely made it in. Now, he was having weird thoughts. He just wanted to keep walking. He did not want to stay stationary anymore.

Kyle was almost at the point of tears when he had dropped his papers, it was the stress of moving, looking for work and also his annoying sister were all things bouncing around his head and he just wanted to forget it for at least one hour. So even though this guy had been a little cold, He was pleased for the distraction.

And it wasn't a bad distraction either. After being handed his papers he noticed how tall the other guy was and suddenly felt short for the first time in his life. "Uhh thanks." He offered, whilst looking up at the man's eyes. They were the brightest shade of green he'd ever seen in eyes before and were absolutely stunning. He blushed and looked back down towards the ground, checking to see if there was anything he missed. "Are you okay?" he mumbled, still looking towards the ground.

While looking at the man, Heath saw how stressed the person looked. It made him feel sad for being such a grouch. But, that was just how he was. He was still a Hufflepuff, so he did have a nice bone. It was just hard to get to. The stranger's attractiveness made it easier for him to be more more kind and gentle.

Heath stood up and handed the stranger his papers. They made eye contact, and he just blinked. Was he supposed to feel something? Yeah, the kid was cute, but he was not going to flirt or anything. That was weird. The stranger looked down. As usual, he was shorted than him. Heath had gotten used to being tall. "I'm fine, but are you okay? You looked stressed." he said quietly.
