The valentine's rose deliveries had been around ever since he was in his first year, and though Flavio did not participate for that year, he had participated every year since then and looked forward to each event immensely. That year he was as happy to be delivering roses as any other year, and wasted no time beginning his trek around the castle to find all of his recipients. The first rose he was delivering was to Gabriella Tillington, a girl that Flavio had tutored during one of his previous years so he thankfully knew her house and was able to recognize her as he walked along the fourth floor corridor. "Gabriella!" Flavio called out as he spotted the girl. "Good morning, I have a rose to deliver to you." He then explained, hoping that having her name called out did not startle her.

Valentine's day was passing Gabriella by for the most part. She had sent a rose, but she hadn't really put much more thought into it since. Signing up for the candy-canes earlier in the year hadn't been bad, but she still felt no inclination to sign up for rose deliveries as well. She was on her way to the common room to get a book from her dormitory, when she heard someone call out to her. She turned to see Flavio, her tutor from the previous year. As he approached, she noticed he had some roses. So she wasn't all that surprised when he said he had a rose for her. "Thank you." She said with a small nod. "Can I see it?" She wondered who had sent it, though she hoped it was one from her sister.

As Gabriella asked if she could see the rose, Flavio looked to his basket and picked up the one that was meant for her. It was yellow meaning it must have been from a good friend of hers. Friends thinking of each other enough to send roses on valentine's day always warmed his heart and he was happy that Gabriella had a friend that thought of her. "Here you go." He said as he held the rose towards the Hufflepuff, waiting to see her reaction.

To Gabriella Tillington said:
Gabriella,
I didn't get in trouble. Happy V-Day!
Chante

Gabriella smiled politely at Flavio as he handed her the rose, thanking him as she took it from him. "How is your day so far?" She asked as she unfolded the note, trying to be polite. Her smile turned soft at the words on the notes. She hadn't expected a rose from Chante and was pleasantly surprised. She hadn't sent one herself, but perhaps she could thank her in person.

"It has been good, you are my first delivery of the day so I hope my day continues to be this way." Flavio responded after handing the note over. Gabriella's expression turned soft as she looked over what was written, and it caused Flavio to smile. Seeing people's faces light up, soften, or flush in appreciation when they received a rose was the most enjoyable part of delivering roses for him. He was glad that his first delivery had been positive and thought of it as a sign of how the rest of the day would pan out. There was not a single reason he could conjure in his mind that could make his day delivering roses be anything but positive. "Is your rose from a good friend?" He asked, knowing that the answer would likely be a yes but wanting to make small talk anyway.

Gabriella nodded when he said his day was going well, and that she was the first delivery of the day. She was happy with her rose, though the older boy's question gave her some pause. She didn't think Chante was a good friend necessarily, but maybe they were? They liked each other and sat next to each other in lessons. But what if Chante didn't think they were good friends? Though she had sent her a rose. Gabriella shrugged. "I think so." She said uncertainly.
