Alyce walked down the streets of a place called Brightstone Village. It was nice with all kinds of people scurrying about. She sighed. She had been ready for a change of scenery when they left to move here. Her adoptive parents were pretty calm about moving and when they arrived said she could go out and explore. Her adoptive sister stayed home to unpack a bit, but she said she didn't want to explore yet. Alyce sighed and let her pink eyes scan over everything when she ran into someone and fell backwards.

Kayleigh was strolling through the streets of the village, lost in her own thoughts, humming a tune to herself, she didn't really know where she was going and she wasn't all that bothered she was just going to enjoy the nice weather without any annoyances.

She was just about to turn the corner when she felt something collide with the back of her she spun around to see what it was, she was surprised to see a girl older than herself on the floor, she smiled "You all right?" she smiled and offered her had to help the girl up.

Alyce looked up to see a young girl. She must have run into her. She grabbed the had and stood up shaking the dust from her shorts. "Yes. I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention." She looked at the girl. She hoped she wasn't mad. That was the last thing she needed the first person she meets to hate her. "I'm Alyce." She said smiling. She held out her hand, maybe they could be friends.

Leo had seen the whole incident and ran over to check they were both okay, especially the one who had fallen over.

"Hey, are we both okay here? I saw what happened..."

Leo realised he may look a bit strange suddenly running over to the 2 girls..."Oh," Leo smiled. "I'm Leo by the way." He said looking at the 2 girls.

Alce looked up to see a boy much taller than her. She was used to it being as short as she was but the boys in her old town were not this tall. She smiled as he asked if they were okay. "A scrap or to, nothing that won't heal." She looked him over with her strange pink eyes.

Alyce smiled at Leo, he seemed sweet. "No, I'm from Honduras." She looked at him shyly. "My name is Alyce by the way." She held out her hand.

Leo smiled at her, and accepted the hand-shake.

"Well, it's nice to meet you Alyce."

Honduras was unfamiliar to Leo..."Honduras...right? So where's that then?" Leo felt so dumb, but it something that was worth knowing. He smiled at Alyce again, and then giggled awkwardly.

Alyce wondered what had happened to the other girl but figured she had just left. She shook Leo's hand. He was really cute. She thought it was really adorable that he wasn't afraid to ask her a question. "It's in Latin or Central America, which ever you prefer to call it." She blushed.

Leo Smiled..."Ohhh Right...Of Course..." He Giggled.

Leo then looked up at Alyce and spotted her blushing, he looked at Alyce again and smiled. "So then, who was that girl back there?"

Alyce smiled as her blush faded but returned quickly after she saw that Leo had seen her. He asked who the girl was. "I never really found out, I just kinda ran into her and then you came." Her face reddened even more. She hoped he liked her because she was beginning to like him a lot. She didn't think she would ever date again after having to leave her boyfriend to move, but now she was having second thoughts.

Leo smiled. "Oh right." Leo laughed awkwardly. "Well I'm glad to be chatting to you...Im sure that other girl is lovely to tho..."

Leo liked Alyce, she was quite sweet. He did have other girls on his mind to, but Leo wasn't intending to ask any of them out just yet...Nor was he with Alyce, but Alyce came across so perfectly down to earth in Leo's eyes...a quality that the other girls still seemed to be perfecting.

Leo looked at Alyce and smiled at her once again, "Shall we go for a walk?"

Leo was beginning to get cold, so a walk was bound to warm him up a bit. Besides, he didn't want Alyce to be freezing just because she was too busy talking to him.

Leo walked forwards a couple of steps, then turned his head back to Alyce. "Come On." He said with a smile whilst pointing the direction that he was going to be walking in with his head.

Alyce smiled. Leo was so nice and she really didn't want to go just yet. It was starting to get cold and she needed to get home but a little while longer with Leo couldn't hurt. "A walk would be great." She followed after him. She new walking would be better anyway, she didn't want to get sick just because she was wearing a skirt. She set her pace next to Leo's. "Do you go to school here?" She hoped not. With her being home-schooled and all.

Alyce felt the new found hope leave her body just as quickly as it had came. "I'm home-schooled, with my sister." She said. She wondered if any of the people around here were home-schooled. She new it was a bit harder home-schooling magic but all the parents in Honduras did it. She wasn't sure she would get to see much of Leo know and it hurt her a bit. She just wanted a friend at least and now she might not even get that.

Leo smiled, but could see that Alyce wasn't to sure about revealing the fact that she was home-schooled. Leo had always loved the thought of being home schooled, and was quite interested to hear that she was home-schooled.

"Aww Wow, that's really cool, it must be good, I'd love to be home-schooled..." Leo smiled at Alyce once again. He was really beginning to like her a lot. She was sweet in Leo's eyes, and also rather cute looking...

Alyce smiled. What he said reassured her a little bit. She was so happy she knew someone now. She looked around as they walked. Maybe this place wouldn't be so bad after all. "Yeah, it's a big thing back at my old home." She didn't know why she had been so worried about moving. With all the foster parents she should have been used to it. She guessed she still wasn't used to the whole being adopted to one family thing just yet.

Leo smiled at Alyce, "So what's a girl as lovely as you doing here? I mean...it's a lovely place, but no-one else around here is as friendly as you are..." Leo gave a sweet smile towards Alyce, it sounded like he was trying to, 'win her over' with compliments, but he was telling the truth. Leo thought that she was a generally lovely person, aswell as being seriously cute, in Leo's eyes.

Alyce blushed she wasn't used to this many complements. She just felt so comfortable talking with Leo, like she had known him for years. She looked at her feet as they walked, praying that she didn't walk into anything else today. She was trying to think of something to say back to Leo but everything she came up with sounded so stupid in her opinion. She finally settled on, "I guess I'm trying to warm the place up, with all these rude people." She smiled and looked up at him with her strange eyes.

As Alyce spoke, what Leo was thinking came out of his mouth accidentaly. "Yeah, You'll definatly warm the place up." He said under his breath, hoping she didn't hear that. He looked up at Alyce, then smiled at her, and giggled slightly. "Yeah, I suppose this place isn't the best if you want kindness...but it's people like you that make living here worth while." Leo stopped then turned around so he could see Alyce face to face, whilst leaning his arm against a nearby wall. He then smiled at her, quite sweetly. "So, are we gonna finish this walk off by finding somewhere warm to sit indoors or what? It's freezing, and I know a cool cafe place that's only around the corner...come on...it'll warm us both up a bit..." Leo then held his hand out, for Alyce to take hold of and smiled at her sweetly once again.

Alyce thought she heard Leo say something but didn't understand it. So she just shrugged it off. She loved his giggle it was so adorable. She blushed at his next complement. He turned toward her and she stopped walking and let her pink eyes meet his. He leaned against a wall and smiled which made her blush more. She hoped he wouldn't notice. Alyce nodded at his question, "That sounds cool." He held out his hand and she saw no harm in taking it so she did. The blush faded. She hoped she wouldn't trip or something stupid.

Leo held Alyce's hand all the way to the Cafe, and when they reached it, he opened the door, and held it for her. Leo smiled at Alyce, "Ladies First." He said letting go of her hand to hold the door open for her.

He watched her as she walked into the cafe, then followed her. He then gently took hold of her hand again as he caught up with her, then looked her in the eyes and smiled. Leo hoped that Alyce would realise how he felt about her now, and would respnd in her own way. Leo giggled a little as they reached their table, then pulled a chair out for Alyce to sit down on, then sat closely next to her.

Alyce smiled as they reached the cafe. It was a nice little place. Leo opened the door and she walked in, "Thank you." She waited for him to catch up with her and looked him in the eyes. She wondered if he felt what she felt. But they had only first met and she wasn't sure.

He sat next to her closely. She blushed a pale pink. She played with her fingers a little nervous. "This is a nice place, Have you been here before?" She asked after a little while.

Leo smiled. "Yeah, I've been here once or twice before."

Leo looked Alyce in the eyes and smiled at her, and then gave her a small kiss on the cheek, in hope that she would realise how he felt about her.

"I hope that was...ok with you..." Leo smiled a little, then giggled slightly to try and cover up the awkwardness that he was feeling.

Alyce blushed deeply, she hadn't expected that. SHe looked down. "Yeah." She jumped a little when she heard her cell phone ring. She had to charm it so it worked near the school, which she thought was unfair because she was home-schooled. She saw it was her mom, she frowned, "Leo I have to go, it's my parentals." She said emphasizing rent. She blew him a kiss goodbye and ran out of the cafe.
