The sun was high in the cloudless blue sky. It was a very warm day and the students who were not in lessons were outside in the warm as it was cooler outside than it was in side of the large castle. As much as Logan would love to be lying in the common room studying he knew he would only slowly cook in there, although the promise of an empty common room he found quite tempting. Still he was smart and knew it was healthier to be here outside by the lake. The coolest place in the school because of the cool air from the water. The young veela had his feet dipped in the cool water and he had a Herbology book in his hands as he studied for his class and for his exams. He knew he would get a good grade anyway but that didn't mean that he could just let himself not try, you only got what you put in after all and he was making sure to put everything in to his school work while he was here so that by the end of it all he would have the grades needed to be able to have the best jobs once he left. He just felt like he owed it to his family, especially Mark after everything which he had done for him. He had adopted Logan after all and Riley had let the two brother move in with him as they were his cousins. He loved how nice they had been to him and how easily they had accepted him in the family. He actually felt felt loved from his family for the first time in so long. He just didn't want it to end.
Moving his feet around in the water to cool them down a bit as they were getting hit in the water still with the sun warming the water around him up. He didn't really like heat like this, it was uncomfortable heat where he just wanted to strip down to his underwear and go swimming, which he would have done if he did not want to study or if he had someone to swim with. He felt a little stupid if he had done it alone. Unlike his brother who had no shame, then again if Logan had such a muscular body as Mark did then he wouldn't hide it either but seeing as he was only 13 that was unlikely to happen for a while. He sighed as he turned a page in his book
