belated yellow rose for @Asher Styx-Potter title from here
No, seriously. There were so many second year roses to deliver. It was that awkward age where they weren't little kids, but they kind of felt far removed from Dahlia comparatively at this point. Oh well, the show must go on, she told herself, and having missed her chance when she was delivering a rose to a Hufflepuff classmate earlier, Dahlia raced up towards the Gryffindor dorms to find the next recipient. It was kind of hard to tell them apart sometimes, and the names didn't really help things. But at least she vaguely recognised this boy when she'd seen his picture in the yearbook, thanks to having seen him around the dorm. "Halt, Asher! I have...geez, I gotta exercise more...a token of friendly affection to bestow upon you." She took a deep breath, lamenting that she didn't have netball to keep her in shape anymore and carefully levitated the yellow rose towards the boy. "There is no note, I fear, but let it be known that on this...this most splendorous of days, a dear friend has thought warmly of you."
