Cairo was usually the kind of kid to enjoy studying. It gave him an excuse to spend endless hours in a quiet, seemingly tranquil indoor environment while also allowing him to read into subjects he found interesting without fear of someone noticing how much he loved reading. However, Cairo's enjoyment of studying changed dramatically when paired with the pressure of doing well in classes, an empty stomach and a lack from sleep from the night before. All of which had been affecting him that morning and had in turn caused his mood to turn more sour than it was already.

He had no patience for anyone today, and barely enough patience for Rome so after saying a quick good morning in the Slytherin common room and promising to meet up later to study as a pair Cairo quickly made his way to the student lounge. On any other day he would have chosen the library, but with exams looming closer and the older students needing to study more than he did, he thought a change in the form of the student lounge was in order. After walking inside the near empty lounge, Cairo unpacked his books and began reading, hoping to get ahead and kill the next few minutes before his sister arrived.

Hemi had not moved from his comfortable spot lying across the sofa in the student lounge. He was feeling lethargic, starring at his wand which had rolled out of his hand and on to the floor. He had not yet mustered up the energy to stretch out to retrieve it, he was just too comfortable.

He remained there until someone entered the lounge. He briefly poked his head up from behind the backrest of the sofa before ducking back down. It was that kid, Cairo wasn't it? That kid and his even more unpleasant sister had convinced Hemi that a troll lived at Hogwarts on his first week. The Gryffindor dared to poke his head up a second time to see if his twin was with him but he appeared to be studying alone today. Hemi had genuinely been scared of a troll that didn't exist and had been laughed at when asking another student to accompany him to the Owlery as a precaution.

Silently, Hemi retrieved his wand from the floor. He took an extra daring third look to check if Cairo had noticed him before he did anything to bother the Slytherin. It was time to plot his own back!

Cairo quickly grew bored of the book he had begun reading and pushed it aside to open different one that wasn't related to school which he immediately found more interesting. Classes were fun, more so when he was able to use his wand and learn useful spells for his everyday scheming by Rome's side, and still somewhat fun when he had to sit and scribble down notes about theory. But what was not fun was having to study and memorize passages from books that he did not know would aid him in his exams.

He sat back in his chair and rubbed one of his eyes, while turning the page of the book with his other hand. He was still feeling frustrated with the pressure of doing well in school and felt a little more frustrated that he had now begun reading a book that would not help his studies but he had reached a point where he had simply begun to procrastinate until Rome arrived. She was not the kind of person to study, and relied on him to take notes for her during classes but Cairo could at least stay on task when she was studying with him because if he didn't pay attention, neither of them would. He continued reading the irrelevant book, waiting for Rome to arrive and growing bored once more while he continued to wait.

Okay Hemi was now 100% sure that the Slytherin kid had not spotted him and he was free to do as he pleased. But what could he do as revenge for the troll incident? Hemi ran through his somewhat limited list of spells and admittedly, stupify came to his mind first - but stunning an unsuspecting, unarmed wizard somehow seemed immoral to him. Instead Hemi settled for a spell far less dangerous and far more immature.

He pointed his wand to the side of the couch he was hiding behind, lifting his head just high enough to see what was going on without appearing too obvious. Shrugging off the idea that this was a pathetic attempt to hide himself, Hemi aimed his wand at his rivals textbook.

"Wingdardium Leviosa!

He watched as the text book the Slytherin was reading lifted from the table, higher and higher still. This was so much fun!

Rome had been impossibly bored, she had tried to get Cairo to see her side of it, but he'd ditched her for the student lounge and studying, it was only after a certain amount of time and some bored wandering that Rome had decided to go see what her brother was up to. Which was where the blonde was currently heading, she had a smile on her face as she walked to the student lounge eager to spend time with her brother and quite possibly do something pretty interesting, or at the very least more interesting that just walking around aimlessly, which was what she did. The moment that Rome very quietly entered the room, she noticed something, the boy the troll boy had his wand out at directed at Cairo, now, this made Rome see red, it didn't even matter that the spell he'd gone for was harmless to her the intent to hurt her brother had been just so clear and she wouldn't stand for it at all, "HEY," she exclaimed getting his attention before marching over to him and moving to push him to the floor, "Don't you ever do that again," the girl pretty much growled at him, hoping to really show how much he should avoid doing such things, the girl had her hands clenched in tight fists at her sides waiting to see what he would and she really was one step away from punching him square in the face, she went to grab his shirt with one hand and ready to punch with the other, oh this guy had no idea what he'd just almost done.

Hemi had forgotten to watch out for the psychopathic twin before performing any magic, and that was a mistake he immediately regretted. The Slytherin came out of nowhere and went straight for him.

"I didn't do anything" He protested, scrambling up from his hiding place behind the sofa, only to be pushed to the ground again. The girl grabbed his shirt and Hemi anticipated pain. He needed to defend himself but stood by strict never hit a girl policies. This girl was going to beat him up if he didn't do something though!

And then he thought of magic. Magic didn't gender discriminate. He could perform any spell he saw fit, and, unless there happened to be a Professor standing in the doorway as well, might be able to get away with. Already armed with his wand from harassing her brother, Hemi aimed at the Slytherin girl and cast, "Stupefy!"
