Character's Opinion on Name: "My name holds such importance to me. Feng is an ancestral name in my family and to be blessed with such a beautiful name still humbles me. My Great-Grandmother was an amazing woman, with the strength, class and mind of no other, or so I have been told, and I can only wish to one day be like her."
Roleplayer's Reason for Name: I always liked the name Feng. Growing up, I had a friend named Feng Fei and I thought it was a really pretty name, I also liked Evelyn and was dying for a reason to use both names, so I decided that the next character I made would have this name. I have no personal preference to Evelyn's middle name, I just thought that it had a good flow to it, which is where and how Feng - Evelyn Kaleigh - Bao's name came to be.
Character's Parent's Reason for Name: "Bao Feng's name has much meaning to my family. My Grandmother's Grandmother and so on and so forth have all been named Feng. As my Father's only son I had the right to name my child this. Lixue had no choice in the matter, tradition is tradition and I will not disappoint."

Significance of Birth Date: Many feuds | declarations of war were started on this day of the year, showing the fieriness of this day, which may add to Evelyn's personality when she is angered.
Significance of Birth Month: As Janus is the God of gates and doors, beginnings and endings, it represents Feng's ability to move on from past hurt and give people the benefit of the doubt, but also her willingness to end a relationship if she feels that she is only to be hurt through the whole process.

Roleplayer's Reasoning on Blood: I haven't had a Muggle Born character since my first, who is graduating this year, and I have seen a lot of Pure Bloods as of late and I thought I would change that up for Evelyn.
Character's Opinion on Blood: "I know that most magic raised families believe that Muggle Borns are awful but I am proud. I am the first Bao to be a witch and I cannot wait to begin school. At first, I thought that I was a freak but it turns out my cousins are witches as well and I couldn't be happier."
Father's Opinion on Blood: "Feng, being a witch, causes me confusion, however I support her in all she does and I have been told by my Brother-in-law that she is in good hands at Hogwarts New Zealand."
Mother's Opinion on Blood: "My Feng is not a witch, I have decided this, no matter what the letter said. She is simply going to a boarding school in New Zealand."
First Magical Experience: Evelyn was nine years old when her first magical experience occurred but at the time she believed it to be a fluke. She had been sitting in her living room after her mother grounded her for a reason she can no longer remember, staring into her fireplace when the bricks in her fireplace shifted away and the fire rose.
Education: Evelyn is a first year at Hogwarts New Zealand.
Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff.
Why? Evelyn is a Hufflepuff student because she honestly cares for the well being of others. She is sensible and loyal to her friends, family, and now her house. She may be ambitious but she is not sly or cunning enough to be in Slytherin and she may have nobility but she is not brave enough to belong to a house of red and Ravenclaw just couldn't have suited her, she is intelligent just not as wise as Ravenclaws, making Hufflepuff the perfect house for her.
Character's Feelings on House: "I had no preference on any houses, but I honestly did not want Slytherin. I wished to be in a house where I could make friends and I am proud to be in Hufflepuff, despite the stereotype that Hufflepuff's are door mats."
Roleplayer's Feelings on House: I am so happy that Evelyn was placed in Hufflepuff, she is my second 'puff character since Nina and one of my more favorite Hufflepuffs that I have. I find myself bored with all the Slytherins I have and can't imagine Feng being placed anywhere else. So the Sorting Hat made the right choice.
