BRIEF HISTORY
Duncan grew up in New Zealand with his mother and father.
In 2023, he gained his little brother, Harry. The two boys have always had
a close relationship, and Harry now attends the muggle primary
school that Duncan used to attend before receiving his letter
to Hogwarts. Up until the age of eleven, Duncan went to the local muggle
primary school. It was during his time here that he met his muggle
friend, Tom. The two young lads would enjoy a laugh during
breaks, until they inevitably encountered the school bullies. The two friends
were weirdos, as far as the rest of the school was concerned and
they initially took the verbal bullying on the chin, but once it
turned physical, Duncan made a stand. He was found out and thrown in
detention. This was to be the first in a string of detentions. His
poor behaviour did not go unnoticed by his parents, though,
fortunately, the year was coming to an end, Duncan soon received his letter.
In his spare time, Duncan would often make model villages with Tom.
It's one of the hobbies he would miss most upon entering Hogwarts.
In September of 2029, Duncan arrived at Hogwarts, and was sorted into his
father's old house of Gryffindor. His mother had hoped for him to join
the ranks of Ravenclaw (her old house), though she was still very
pleased and proud. On the train, Duncan met a couple of the friends he would
get to know better as the years passed by. Prior to boarding the
Hogwarts Express and getting sorted, Duncan purchased a
female Eurasian Eagle Owl named Perpetua, after the inventor of the lunascope.
Duncan found himself instantly attached to the owl, and the pair
formulated a powerful friendship in the period of time before
Hogwarts. Duncan was a little frustrated, however, at not having anyone to
send letters to, but was pleased when Perpetua started bringing
home dead mice as presents, which upset his brother. Duncan
has already settled in to life at Hogwarts, and has developed some more
ambitions to do with the establishment, such as avoiding getting
any detentions for as long as possible. His friends have given
him a week.
