It was the nearing the end of Summer here and his family were still staying at the bed and breakfast till tonight. Tonight they will have to leave New Zealand, back to Seattle to get Helaku ready for his return here but alone this time. He was afraid he had to say many times, this experience of leaving home will his first time ever. He will attend Hogwarts for seven years, within those seven years he had Holidays and breaks to visit his family often. Otherwise he will be alone, not entirely alone if he makes in Ravenclaw house along with his cousin Makalyah. If not, Hogwarts will be an adventure he will discover with friends along the way, he know he will make some. Helaku was like in his community, why not here? He hope so.

While Helake dream about Hogwarts, dad was looking for him to get ready for the drum festival. He found the boy day dreaming about his future school, right on the bed. His father shook his head at Helaku, "Boy what your doing here, time to get ready for the festival!" Helaku heard his father, he was standing by the door steps, and Helaku hugging his pillow. He totally forgot about the festival, jumping off the bed, Helaku retrieve his drum sticks right of his duffel bag. That's where he had kept his favorite drum sticks the entire time, at night he took them out, other than that, Helaku kept them there the most. He was dress in traditional performing clothes, like the rest of his family but Helaku was the one that will be leading the drumming this year, it was a good thing they were able to have it there, he would've been upset if the festival wasn't taking place.

Running out the inn and towards the park, Helaku lead the march with just a part of his drum, and his sticks hitting on the pad repeatedly to start off the festival. He heard of moire Natives here and how much they were like Helaku's family. They too were joining the Summer's Festival. It was going to be fun for everyone, Helaku the most because he was leading the growing parade, till they reach the park. That's where Helaku took his place on a stage large enough for most of the drummers, on stage he preform his first set along with his family and cousin. By the third song Helak was done, he went into the crowds to enjoy the rest of the performance.

Sorry it's a bit rush

The days continued to go on being as unplanned and random as any day had in this little girl's life. This was definitely a positive thing for the young free willed child who would soon be thrown into the schedule and strict rules of a school. A school that honestly she wasn't quite sure about at all. She knew a few things here and there. A few stories from her mother and a few facts from her father, but as of what she could expect Ember was almost completely and utterly clueless. She knew she would be forced to follow a listing of classes and rules. Both were not on this young girls to do list. Which is why each new day as the young brunette opened her eyes, she was thankful for the free, non planned, sunny day ahead of her.

This morning, as Ember rolled out of bed, she wasted little time with the do's and dont's of the morning. She rushed through her outfits throwing on a simple pair of acid washed jean shorts (retro to the highest scale) and a black tank top. It would do. Throwing her hair into pig tail braids within seconds (this hair style was nothing but habit to the young prospective hogwarts student), she threw on her converses and headed out the door. Forgetting all about breakfast, she wondered through the crowds of people, everyone seemed to be out this morning but why?

Ember surely was not up to current events nor did she pay any attention to activities that were taking place in the small town she now called home. Usually she found herself doing what she wanted on her lonesome or even with a few people she randomly met on the street. Today seemed as if everyone was out on the street though. Like there was a meeting, a grouping, and activity that Ember wasn't exactly invited to.

Though leaving crossed her mind, she certainly wouldn't do such a thing. A public area meant she was able to be where she wanted when she wanted. More so she was just stubborn and curious. A fair mixture of both. Creeping through the crowd she heard the music playing. "Music" She said aloud getting a few confused looks. Walking closer to the sound she noticed a young boy getting off the stage and joining the crowd. If anyone knew what was going on, he would. Weaving her way through the crowd, Ember found herself right near the boy. Tapping him on the shoulder she flashed him a smile, "Heya" she said in a normal bubbly tone. "What on earth is happening here?" She asked tilting her head barely to the side, just enough to show a slight curiosity.

Dad kept leading the drum festival while Helaku watch in sheer enjoyment. Dad say he could only do three songs this year, last year it had been one song, this year it was three. You could say he was please and excited about the whole thing. It was like winning a game to him, long as he was able to play and lead the march, Helaku felt like he won. Maybe it's all about that sense of pride or whatever dad talks about when your leading a drum march, he got his chance. Next year he was aiming for the whole festival till it end. A big step for any eleven year old to do. But Helaku thought if he felt this good about it why not? He was looking forward to chatting with dad after the festival.

At one beat of the drums, the boy felt someone poking and asking an unusual question. Helaku was no native, but if she was why didn't she know about the drum festival. "It's the festival!"
he pointed out to the stage, they were really getting loud. If it like something out of a muggel book, like the wild things, the part where Max would conduct the wild rumpus. It felt just like that or how he imagine a wild rumpus would sound like. Mom read him that book all the time, Helaku love that book. Along with a few others, he love how muggels can imagine something so amazing as the book. So like the book, if felt that way. People dancing, drum beating so fast you could hardly keep up, and the sweet smell of food baking in the air. A drum fest not a fest without food! Mom was already servicing chicken and brown rice with sweet vegetables on the side for anyone who wanted in. Helaku smile, mom xooking made you hardy!

"Are you from around here? This happen every year I was told! he had to shout a little. The drumming and chanting was getting loud. Helaku move away from the crowd to talk to the girl a little better.
