Giselda [Jansen] De Luca Mother
--Giselda is a mixed blood witch. She is of Dutch and Australian Aboriginal descent. The mother of three children, she is no-nonsense and not afraid to reprimand them, no matter their age. She had to leave work to homeschool Dorian after he became a werewolf.
Giuseppi De Luca Father
--The opposite of his wife, Giuseppi is a laid-back wizard who is originally from Victoria, Australia. He is a muggle-born and is of Italian descent. He works in the Department of Magical Transportation in Australia’s ministry of magic.
Rachel De Luca Sister
--Rachel is Dorian’s younger sister by two years. She has recently graduated from a magical institution in Australia and works in an apothecary. Quite like her mother, Rachel will stand her ground in any situation and can be quite stubborn. While she is close to her brother, she is bothered by the fact that he is a werewolf and will not hesitate to say so.

--The baby of the family, Samantha is in her sixth year of school. She is used to getting her way. Samantha looks up to her brother and sister and has a close relationship with both of them.

Dorian was born to Giselda and Giuseppi De Luca in their home in South Australia. He was raised along with his two younger sisters, Rachel and Samantha. When Dorian was ten, he and Rachel wandered off from their home before dinnertime, pretending to be on an adventure. This game went awry when they became lost and couldn’t find their way back. A full moon was soon above their heads. They gave up after hours of going in circles, deciding to call it a night. Dorian had just started a fire when both brother and sister heard a noise. Assuming it was just an animal, they laughed and thought it would be fun to scare each other with ghost stories. It was then that the werewolf surprised them. She was a middle-aged witch who was new to her curse and had realized she was out of Wolfsbane Potion too late in the month. The werewolf went after Rachel, who was the younger and more vulnerable of the children. Dorian managed to protect his sister, fending off her attacker with a flaming stick, but he was not so lucky. The smoke and the screams attracted Giselda and Giuseppi, who had been searching for the children for hours. They arrived on the scene to witness Dorian being bitten by the creature. Giuseppi subdued the werewolf while Giselda obtained help for their son. Dorian survived the events of that night, though he escaped them with much more than a scratch.

Growing up as a werewolf was no cakewalk for Dorian. He had to suffer the reality of the curse, losing many of his childhood friends, and adapting to a new life. Dorian would never be able to go to the school that he would have attended in a matter of months. Instead, Giselda decided to quit her job at the Australian ministry and stay at home to homeschool Dorian. She began to teach him after his eleventh birthday. While Dorian liked learning, he grew quite bored with being at home all the time. His teenage years fostered the beginnings of self-loathing and doubt.

During the January of his fifteenth year, Dorian forgot to drink his Wolfsbane on the night of the full moon. Without permission from his parents, he went for a walk into town. He became the monster that he despised. The civilians were able to prevent everything but the worst of his crimes; mauling a six-year-old girl.

Dorian became even more reclusive after the incident with the girl, refusing to associate with anyone outside of his family. It took a deal of encouragement from his parents to go out into the world after passing his examinations. Since he was quite skilled at brewing potions, he managed to obtain a job at an apothecary in Adelaide. He worked this job for a few years, leaving it in April of 2025. Haunted by the wrong he had committed (if small by werewolf standards,) Dorian aspired to make a new life for himself. In June of 2025, he purchased a cabin in a forest in New Zealand, miles away from Wellington. He lives there currently, raising his own livestock, growing a garden, and improving his property. Dorian believes that having to pass the time slowly is a small price to pay for the good of everyone else. He brews and drinks his Wolfsbane dutifully, venturing into Obsidian and in contact with people only when necessary.
