Noelle, not wanting the night to end, decided to walk @Willow Cullen to her common house. The Gryffindor Tower was three floors above his but the walk to her floor would mean extra time with his girlfriend. He took her hand in his, gently squeezing it while a smile was playing on his lips. He deliberately took slow steps, his mind thinking of what to say but at the same time enjoying the silence between them.

Willow had enjoyed the valentines dance. it had been fun dancing with Noelle. and singing along to old muggle songs. once the dance was over they had left the hall hand in hand they walked slowly up the stairs. each lost in their own thoughts. she had stopped on the fourth floor as that was where hse knew the Hufflepuff common room was but Noelle had kept walking. being the gentleman that she knew him to be and following etiquette even if it was a little outdated and would cause him an inconvenience. he seemed quiet and lost in thought. she squeezed his hand. and looked at him wondering what he was thinking about.

Noelle looked at Willow, the smile still on his lips. He almost chuckled upon seeing her confused face. He pulled her to a stop before placing a kiss on her lips. "I love you.", he said. Ever since they both said the words, he always grabbed any opportunity to say it to her.

as they walked willow kept watching noelle. wondering if he was up to something or if his escorting her to the seventh floor was just part of his old school manners. he caught her wasching him and she quickly instinctivly glanced away as he slowed their slow walk to a stop in a little alcove out of the way. As he kissed her she felt her lips form the shape of a smile under his as she kissed back. glad that he had invited her to the valentines dance a year ago even after she had rejected him before at Christmas, they hardly knew each other back then. though as the year progressed the more she knew nim the cooler he became until. "love you too, valentine" she said. maybe the better responce would have been love you more. but she still was pretty sure she didnt. love him more than he loved her.

Noelle smiled, his heart full at her words. He half expected for Willow to have a comeback for his line but was glad that she did not. They were almost there now and he did not want to part with her yet. "Did you have fun?", he asked, just for the sake of asking. Evidently, he did not have anything in mind but he just wanted to keep talking to her.

Willow could almost feel Noelle hesitating as they stood there. she put his arms around him resting her head on his shoulder her forhead against his neck. he smelled nice. a mixture of soap, his musky smell and something else she couldn't place. "How could i not have had fun. you are a great dancing partner" she said starting to sway where they were standing. "It is funny to think it has been one year already" she said. musing on the idea more than asking a question or making a statement.

Noelle smiled knowingly at her statement. He was keeping tabs but did not want to make a big deal about it. He knew how Willow was with his cheesiness. The moment they started to sway, he took her hand and gave her a small spin. "I know, Wil. I've been counting.", he added with a wink. The Puff even prepared a small present to remember this day for them. It was a little more of Willow than Noelle represented in the bracelet, except for the stone color. A part of her that he had loved about his girlfriend. "Hope this is not over the top.", he whispered, dangling the bracelet in front of her, the way he did with the necklace.

Willow enjoyed the swaying with Noelle and as he spun her, her grin widened. this evening had been so much fun. she didn't want to go back to the Gryffindor common room. she would rather spend the night outside in the garden or on the roof again, just hanging out, dancing, just being close to him.
When Noelle produced a present out of nowhere her eyes widened. "That is pretty. but you don't have to keep buying me jewellery." she said as she slipped the bangle over her hand. the elements were perfect to her. the c for her name, the wolf not for herself but her family and the yellow stone for him. she took his hands in hers and kissed him gently in thanks, once they broke away. she looked up at him. he really was beautiful. hot just how good looking he was. but how sweet and kind he was, she really didn't deserve someone like him. "I, I got you something too. but it is too big to fit in my pocket because I don't have pockets. but I will give it to you tomorrow" she said.

Fiddling with the pendant gently, Noelle held Willow's hand as he met her eyes. "You don't want cheesy lines. The next best thing I can do is give you presents.", he whispered. The kiss she gave him was the best he would always have again and again. He wrapped her in his embrace before leading the way slowly again, keeping his arm around her. The steps were smaller and slower, taking the time. At the mention of her own present, he shook his head before pressing a kiss on her head. "Oh, you don't need to, love. I'm perfectly happy when I am with you.", he whispered. "Cheesy, I know.", he teased her.

Willow bit her lip lightly to try and prevent herself from making some comment about cheesy lines and presents. and spoiling the mood. instead, she felt his arms around her and leaned in towards him enjoying the embrace, his warmth and the smell of him next to her. they slowly broke the embrace and began to walk towards her house still holding as close to each other as they could. at his comment, she stopped and looked at him square on. "so you can be perfectly happy just being with me no presents. but I can't get my boyfriend a present for valentines day. she teased pouting even though her tone was playful it did make her think of something. it wasn't the situation she wanted to always be in so she may as well get it in the open. I don't know how the maxwells do things but in the Cullen family, everyone is equal. we don't have princesses that expect to be pampered and showered with gifts. we are capable of looking after ourselves." she said. the phrase was one she had heard her dad use as a joke. though there was even more irony coming given her current accessories and his family ties.
