HISTORY
Growing up in a family of six girls is fairly tough on the eldest child. Dinah's entire family come from a magical bloodline with the usual dispersion of muggles throughout their history. It is a source of pride for Dinah to have not only mixed bloodlines but also mixed races, coming from a background of African, English, Hispanic and Arabic families. According to she, the bigger the better. All six girls are destined for Hogwarts, and Dinah is the first to take the biggest step into the magical world. Her family is well versed with the ways of the wizard however, though they do have a better fashion sense in most cases. Dinah's father works long nights at a magazine press, so her mother is main runner of the household. She rules with an iron fist but adores her children, and the family could not be happier (Dinah especially).
PERSONALITY
Dinah's mother has nicknamed her 'Rainbow', calling her such because she is 'the sun after the storm'. Di is perpetually cheerful to the point of stubbornness; even in the worst of times, she absolutely refuses to be miserable and enjoys being the light of everyone's life. However, she is quite prone to recklessness and often oversteps her mark. Some people find her too sunny to bear, and consequently perceive her as annoying. Others, however, find themselves uplifted. Dinah is extremely fond of animals at the outdoors. Sunlight is her forte and she chooses to spend as much time in it as possible. It is no wonder that she subsequently dislikes water. She is also highly attracted to colours, especially red, yellow and black. Her milk snake (which she has named Iris) is her permanent buddy.
