Mercury wasn't sure if the next person she was looking for would actually be at the lake, but she had heard he liked collecting seashells. And while the lake was fresh water, those things could sometimes have seashells. It all really came to show her that she knew nothing about her classmates, even those in her year, as she wandered down the edge of the lake, looking for Conan.

Conan loved being by the school lake. He was mostly there to see what shells had washed up to the shore or just to be by the water. Conan didn't see people come by the lake often. He had been looking around the lake to find anything new to his collection, which he only found a few so far. Conan noticed a figure nearby, which made him look up. Conan didn't know the girl that well, only that her name was Mercury and that she was in his year. "Hey! You all good?" Conan asked the girl. She looked a little confused.

Mercury looked up, eyes wide and gasped as someone spoke to her and realized it was her classmate. "Yeah, fine. Umm, here," she said awkwardly, handing Conan the yellow rose.
