A Little Deeper
Personality: Much like his dress sense Detrick is 'Emo-ish' He, most of the time, keeps himself to himself and doesn't interact with anyone. He doesn't have any friends, but is close to his sister. Although he does have a different side, which many people don't see, he is caring, loving, funny and quite easy to get along with. He doesn't let many people in so not many know this side to him, but when people take the time to get to know him he will return the favour by letting them get to know him.
History: Detrick was brought up in Hangard in a small house. His family were quite poor and had very little income. He was never a spoilt child and from a young age got used to having very little and not always getting what he wants. Although his family were very musical so he and his younger sister learned to play numerous instruments and took singing lessons. He loved to entertain people, especially his family when money was low and they had very little money for proper entertainment.
A month before he left for Durmstrang his father died at a work related accident. He was willing to give up going to Durmstrang that year and help support his mother but at his fathers funeral his mother became friendly with one of his fathers work colleagues. He was very good to her, was over frequently and helped out with things; he even gave her sums of money. He became a very good family friend, both Detrick and his younger sister got on very well with him.
In Detricks third year of Durmstrang his mother and the man got engaged and married not long after. They moved to his, much bigger house, and live in luxury. Detrick loves it there and even though he no longer has to worry about money he doesn't flaunt it about and spends whatever he has wisely. He also kept his fathers name, so did his younger sister.
In Detrick's 5th year at Durmstrang he met on Steph Shirley and they hit it off instantly, never really being interesting in the opposite sex it was hard for Detrick to understand what he was feeling when he was around her but soon he realised that he had feelings for Steph and when he knew she returned them he asked her to be his girlfriend, something that to Detrick's happiness - she accepted. Detrick and Steph remained in a strong relationship and grew to have more than feelings for each other and exchanged their 'I love yous' in Detrick's 6th year. During the Christmas holidays of Detrick's 7th year, when he knew he would have to leave Steph soon when he graduated and she had two more years left he gave her a promise ring, to symbolise how he would always love her even when he left. When Detrick graduated he joined a band as a Bass Player and on the side taught people guitar amounst other instruments. After buying his own flat he invited Steph over to see it and asked her to move in with him during the holidays and for good when she graduated, to which she also accepted.
Family: Mother: Leyla (Adler) Daecher. Leyla was born on the 7th of October 1982, making her 40, in Berlin, German. She was born into a Pure Blood family, a very proud one at that. She had one older brother (Adalhard-Pure Blood-45-Death Eater) and twin sister (Adal-40-Unspeakable in Germany Ministry of Magic). Her parents (Adalricus and Bathilda (Barth) Adler were strict parents and brought their children up with an iron-fist.
Leyla was a Durmstrang student, she was very bright and was a Prefect. In her 6th year she met Seraphinas father. They dated for the rest of their school-life and married as soon as they graduated as Layla was already pregnant with Detrick. Laylas parents didnt not approve of her choice of husband, as he wasnt a Pure Blood so they disowned her as soon as they were married and do not keep in contact with their grandchildren.
Layla didnt work as she had to stay at home with the children. She is a very loving person and a good singer.
Biological father: Barret Klein. Berret was born in Hamberg, Berlin, on the 10th of September 1982 (which would make him 40). He was a Half blood wizard who works in the Experimental Charms Department in the German Ministry of Magic. He was born to Ber and Elois (Hirech) Klein and has no siblings.
He too was a Durmstrang student, not very bright but did well enough and was Quidditch Captain/Chaser. He met Leyla in his 6th year and married her once they graduated. He got a job in the Ministry and worked they the rest of his life. He too was a musical man; he sang and played the guitar. On the 15th of August 2017 he was killed by an experimental charm at work.
Step-father: Birk Deacher. Birk was born in Essen, Berlin on the 1st of September 1979, making him 43. He is a Pure Blood wizard born to Bern and Della (Koch) Deacher. He has one twin sister, Danga (Pure Blood-43-Death Eater). He works in the Experimental Charms Department in the German Ministry of Magic as Head of the Department. He is a Durmstrang graduate. He was a very bright student, Prefect and Head Boy.
He was best friends with Barret, as they were work colleagues, but he was jealous of him as he was very much in love with Layla after meeting her a few times. So after Barrets death, even though he was very sad, he took his chance to grow close to Layla as they were both suffering from Barrets death. He liked Layla and Barrets children very much and he sees them as his own even before he and Layla were even married.
Sister: Seraphina Klein. Seraphina was born in Hangard, Germany on the 12th of January 2008 making her 15. She is currently in her 4th year of Durmstrang. She is a Half Blood witch and is Detrick's younger sister. She is fairly bright student but doesn't care much about studies. She, like most Durmstrang students, can be very cold towards people but to those she deems worthy as friends she can be very nice.
