Hot-headed and loud, Delaney likes to make his presence known. The bassist and one of the youngest members of the semi-popular wizarding band, Ashes, Delaney is protective of his spot both within the band and in his social circles and does everything can to ensure he doesn't lose his footing there. He's protective of his people and is easy to rile up when he feels insecure.
Childish and energetic, Delaney truly loves what he does and is hard to get to shut up about his passions once he gets going. He loves and hates easily and in equal measure, often falling into love or getting into fights at the drop of a hate, though he cools quickly on these both as well. Delaney considers himself an open book in most matters of the heart, but he can get very defensive about his feelings, feeling he has to prove himself to anyone who may doubt him.

FAMILY + HISTORY
Born in São Palo in 2028, Delaney grew up in Brazil, attending Castelobruxo until his family moved to New Zealand in 2042. While given the option to change schools, Delaney stuck with Castelobruxo, though he spent his holiday time lurking around New Zealand. In 2043, at age 15, Delaney met Vera Ito and Leo Maelstrom, a pair of his neighbors who'd play music in their garage. Entranced, Delaney fell in love with music, working on learning to play bass when he wasn't at school and determined to convince Vera and Leo to let him join their band the second he graduated.
There was never a plan B for when Delaney finished school, and once he finally had, Vera and Leo welcomed him into their band with little fanfare. Not long after, the band picked up singer and songwriter Asher Beckett, completing the quartet that would become Ashes. The band has experienced a decent success, having written two albums and received some level of acclaim within the Australasian Wizarding community.
