Declan's thoughts on his immediate family relationships:

Declan's relationship with Sean - Declan likes to think that he has a good relationship with his father. The two often pair up when it comes to pranks at home, and often prank his mother, occasionally his older brother, too. Though outside of pranks, they pretty much spend a lot of time together. Declan pretty much looks up to his father and hopes that he can be like him one day.

Declan's relationship with Cara- Declan loves his mother, though he feels like he's a lot closer to his father than his mother. Declan feels that his mother puts too much pressure on him when it comes to academics and whatnot, but still allows him to have fun whenever possible. She just wants Declan to do well, and Declan knows that. Declan does enjoy spending time with his mum and always enjoys her home-cooked meals.

Declan's relationship with Aidan - Aidan is Declan's older brother; however, Declan doesn't feel as close to his older brother as he does to his cousins. Aidan is much older than Declan, and they have a big age gap between them. Declan was born when Aidan had already started attending Hogwarts. While they are both supportive of each other, they are both at different points in their lives and can't relate to each other as much as they'd like.​

Declan's thoughts on his extended family relationships:

Declan's relationship with Patrick - Patrick is the only other adult aside from Declan's father that Declan looks up to. Declan absolutely loves his Uncle Paddy and tries to spend as much time with his uncle as he can. A couple of days before Declan had started Hogwarts, Uncle Paddy decided to give Declan his Hogwarts gift, which happened to be a tarantula. Declan was amazed by the gift, making sure and promising his uncle that he'd take good care of his spider, in which he named Wilfred, his nickname being Little Will. (Let's be honest, we all know how Declan is taking care of that tarantula at the moment)

Declan's relationship with Nolan - Declan admires Nolan and how well he's doing in life. Declan admires Nolan's passion for music and how he has managed to put it into a career, and Declan can see how happy Nolan is in his life, but can observe sometimes that Nolan feels a bit sad. Declan wishes he could take that pain away somehow. Declan somewhat also admires how Nolan hadn't followed the footsteps that his mother wanted him to follow, and Declan somewhat hopes to do somewhat the same. Declan wonders what really happened between Nolan and his aunt, and why his aunt is no longer with her children.

Declan's relationship with Molly - Declan appreciates Molly a whole lot. She's pretty much an older sibling he wished he had. Don't get Declan wrong; he loves and appreciates his older brother, but it's not the same sort of thing he has with Molly. Molly has pretty much been there for Declan a whole lot since his move to New Zealand. While Declan sometimes can get annoyed with Molly always pestering him about taking care of his pet, he does appreciate how much Molly tries to help him, especially in an unfamiliar country. Declan and Molly pretty much see each other a lot around school and spend some time together once a week just to see how Declan is adjusting.

Declan's relationship with Conan - Declan admires Conan's weird obsessions, especially when it comes to Conan's shell collection. He admires Conan's odd hobby, and that had inspired Declan to start a hobby of his own. His hobby is collecting fruit stickers and placing them in his book. He gives Conan a massive thanks for that. Declan likes to spend his time with Conan whenever they do see each other and they like to look at each other's hobbies and see where they're both at with each of their collections.

Declan's relationship with Fiona - Declan isn't as close with Fiona as he wishes to be. Fiona does love Declan and will be protective over him if she needs to be, but Fiona finds Declan a little weird and annoying. Declan can't figure out why Fiona is always annoyed by Declan. She seems to always be annoyed and angry nowadays, which Declan doesn't quite understand, so he tries to avoid her when he can to make her mad or annoyed.​

Freddie Lagowski​

Declan's thoughts on his best friends:

Declan's relationship/thoughts with Freddie - Declan first met Freddie during their first year at Hogwarts when Declan had been trying to find his tarantula, which happened to have the same name as Freddie, and since then, they had become friends immediately. Declan does appreciate his friendship with Freddie and is quite fond of his friend. He likes that he can be himself around Freddie. They always seem to have fun with each other when they're around each other, as well as do fun pranks together. Declan does enjoy spending time with Freddie and will always be there for his friend, no matter what. However, after witnessing the aftermath of a fight that Freddie had with Ares, Declan does worry about his friend and wonders if there's any way he can help his friend.​

Arachne Westwick​

Declan's thoughts on his friends:

Declan's relationship/thoughts on Arachne - Declan and Arachne went to Obsidian Harbour Daycare together, with Declan coming in a little later, as Declan had moved from another country. Declan had seen that Arachne was doing an activity alone and thought that it was the best time to make a friend; however, by the end of the interaction, it hadn't gone so well, and Declan avoided the girl whenever Arachne was with her sister. Despite the little bumpy interaction, Declan does consider the girl a friend, as Arachne was pretty much one of the first few people he had interacted with outside of his own family, to interacted with someone when he first moved to New Zealand​

January Parish​

Declan's thoughts on his acquaintances:

Declan's relationship/thoughts on Ivara - Declan met Ivara on their first day at Hogwarts, during their ride on the train heading towards the school. Declan finds Ivara interesting, maybe a bit odd, but he can't say anything himself as he knows that he's a little odd himself. Declan finds Ivara owning a frog is quite cool, though. He hadn't really met anyone who owned a frog before. Declan hopes to interact a little more with Ivara and also hopes to get to know her a little more.

Declan's relationship/thoughts on Lewis - Declan and Lewis met on their first night in their dorm. Declan finds Lewis to be cool, but he doesn't really understand how Lewis can be enthusiastic about Quidditch. Declan doesn't really understand the concept of Quidditch either, no matter how many times it's explained to him. However, he does like Lewis, and Declan hopes to get to know his roommate a little better and hopes to become friends with Lewis.

Declan's relationship/thoughts on January - Declan doesn't know January all that well as of yet, but he does find the girl to be nice and finds that they sort of understand each other in a sense. He likes that they understand each other on a certain level about missing home and whatnot. He also likes that the girl sorta gives him a sense of home, with the familiarity of hearing her accent and whatnot. Declan does hope that he and January can get to know each other a little more and hopes to eventually become friends with her.​

Declan's thoughts on those he dislikes:

Declan's thoughts on Cyrus - Declan doesn't necessarily dislike the older boy; he feels more intimidated towards the older boy than dislikes him. When Declan had lost his spider, like he usually did, the older boy did not like it one bit and did not seem impressed with Declan losing his spider. Declan felt intimidated by the fact that the older boy had snapped at him for losing his spider, and now tries to avoid the older boy when he can.

Declan's thoughts on Ares - Declan hasn't really interacted with his roommate, aside from when they were in the dorm room together. Declan didn't really have many thoughts about his roommate until he had seen what he had done to Freddie, and Declan immediately disliked the boy after that. Declan pretty much sends daggering looks and glares towards his roommate whenever possible. He refuses to hear the other boy's side of what had happened, as he is pretty persistent that he's sticking to Freddie about it all, no matter what.​
