Leander Hayes was not officially Quidditch commentator yet, but the job was his the next game. So, he was officially putting the title on his resume. He found that Quidditch was boring without the witty mastermind that created tension during the game. Hogwarts Scotland had a commentator, so Lee felt that Hogwarts New Zealand should be no different. As the fifth year sat in the Student Lounge, he scraped his brain for techniques and jokes that would be funny. Of course, he could never have a script for a Quidditch game, except if it was Hufflepuff. That house hadn't won a game in forever, making him feel sorry for Clara. However, Leander knew his sister never would have been in the same house as him because she was nothing like him, which was a blessing. The Slytherin boy already had enough competition with his many siblings. Leander leaned back in his chair and put his feet on the table as he let himself get lost in his thoughts.

Amy had often thought about joining the hufflepuff quidditch team. Her and Dan had been so excited, they were convinced they were going to try out. For some reason the hufflepuff had lost interest in the sport and she'd lost the enthusiasm for it too. She was quite content with rooting for her house, however, so even just watching the quidditch games were a lot of fun. She entered the student lounge and went to sit by one of the couches, books in hand. She was always studying hard these days she did not even want to think about how next year would look like. She might start to carry her books everywhere with her - which would probably ruin her reputation, but Amy wasn't one to care for that. All she wanted right now this year, was to pass school then she would reconsider the idea of joining quidditch. Who knew maybe she would feel inspired to join. Or maybe not. It was a few sentences into her reading that something was bothering her but she could not place what. Normally she would ignore it but this time it was that one little thing that she could not got rid of. She looked up to see what - or when she saw him, who - had already been sitting there when she arrived. Amy muttered something inaudible under her breath about his feet on the table but soon returned to her reading. She did not even think whether he heard her because her head was too busy thinking about what she was doing.

Leander was not very deep in his thoughts, which allowed him to notice someone sitting across from him. He wasn't a loner that hated being around people, so the girl did not bother him. Plus, she wasn't hard on the eyes. He heard her mumble something, and he was naturally curious about what she had said. "Was I not meant to hear that?" he asked. He leaned forward to show his interest.
OOCOut of Character:
I'm sorry this post sucks.

Amy hadn't expected the boy in front of her to hear her, though she hadn't exactly been subtle about it. She looked up when she heard his voice and prepared herself to see an angry, upset or amused face watching her. Instead, she found none of those things. The blonde pondered whether she should answer him, truthfully or vaguely, as she observed his interested persona. He did lean in, so Amy assumed he was harmless. The hufflepuff's words didn't surprise her because the girl usually was honest. "I don't actually know, maybe," she shrugged, not sure what else to say considering it was an odd first interaction she was having. Normally the fourth year would not sound so casual about it and would've probably spewed a pointless apology but she wasn't like that, not anymore. Besides, anyone who didn't roll their eyes at her annoyed and started an argument had the potential to become her friend. She was still trying to figure out why the boy was suddenly captivated in having this conversation. Not that she was complaining.
