COLIN ABEL MARSH
full

BASIC INFO;
shakedown nineteen seventy nine, cool kids never have the time
on a live wire right up off the street, you and I should meet

COLIN
Anglicized form of Scottish Cailean, meaning Means "whelp, young dog" in Scottish Gaelic. This name was borne by Cailean Mór, a 13th-century Scottish lord and ancestor of Clan Campbell (from behindthename). Colin kept his first name when he moved to New Zealand, and he has always liked his name and never had any issues with it.

ABEL
From the Hebrew name Hevel meaning "breath". In the Old Testament he is the second son of Adam and Eve, murdered out of envy by his brother Cain. In England, this name came into use during the Middle Ages, and it was common during the Puritan era (from behindthename). When Colin changed his name and moved to New Zealand, he kept his middle name, as similarly to his first name he is happy with it.

MARSH
Originally denoted one who lived near a marsh or bog, derived from Old English mersc "marsh" (from surnames at behindthename). Marsh was not Colin's surname by birth, but it is the surname he chose when he moved to New Zealand and changed his name. He chose the name as it was simple and common, he likes that the origin of it is old English.

BIRTHDAY
Colin was born on August 24, 2000 in London, England. He was the first child born to his parents and his star sign is Virgo.

RESIDENCE
Colin currently lives in New Zealand, in a house with his partner James Michaels, and James' family. After leaving New Zealand to move back to England, Colin never thought he would return to New Zealand other than to visit, but since moving back to spend more time with James he couldn't be happier. Colin is content where he lives currently and wants to remain where he is for the foreseeable future.

SIBLINGS
Colin has two sisters that are a few years younger than him. He was never particularly close with either of his sisters because of their age gaps, and he hasn't had any contact with them since moving to New Zealand when he was 20. Colin does regret not being closer with his sisters and not spending much time with them when he was younger, and he does sometimes wonder if he should try and find them and see how their lives are going, but he is also terrified of seeing anyone in his family again.

CHILDREN
Colin has one daughter named Winnie Marsh. The day Winnie was born was one of the happiest days of Colin's life and he had always wanted to be a father, and as Winnie grew up he tried to be the best parent possible and encourage Winnie's creativity. Winnie is now an adult and independent, and Colin is proud of the person she has become.

EDUCATION
Colin completed all of his magical education at Hogwarts Scotland. He was sorted into Ravenclaw when he was in school, and always put his studies before any of his extracurricular activities and his social life. Colin graduated with good grades overall and even earned himself a prefect badge in his fifth year.

OCCUPATION
Colin currently works as a Librarian at a local library close to where he lives. Colin enjoys his job as he has always loved books and literature and he loves that he is able to work alone most of the time, and that he always has somewhere quiet to read.

BLOOD STATUS
Colin is of Mixed blood, and has no particular thoughts of opinions about blood status.

APPEARANCE;
junebug skipping like a stone, with headlights pointed at the dawn
we were sure we'd never see an end to it all, and I don't even care

BUILD
Colin is tall and of a lanky to average build. During school he had a few significant growth spurts and felt awkward when he was taller than everyone else in his year, but now that he is an adult he has no particular thoughts or feelings about his build.

STYLE
Colin likes to dress classic and simple, and more formal even when he is meant to be casual. Most of the time he opts to wear button up shirts, neat trousers and leather shoes and pairs this with a blazer or tie. When it is cold he will wear a long coat and does wear sweaters and scarves when the occasion calls for it, but for the most part he wears the same kinds of clothing that he is comfortable in, and clothing that he believes never goes out of style. He is not known to wear jeans often or any casual shoes, and would feel out of place if he did dress as such.

EYE COLOUR
Colin's eyes are hazel and this is a trait he shares with most of his family. He doesn't feel any particular way about his eye colour.

HAIR
Colin's hair his dark, almost black and is rather thick. He prefers for his hair to be shorter and does his best to keep up with his hair length and get his hair trimmed regularly. Colin's hair is shorter on the sides and back and is longer on the top, and he generally styles it neatly and pushes his hair away from his face.

GLASSES
Colin does not need to wear glasses all the time, but he does have reading glasses that he wears when he reads. The glasses he prefers to wear have dark frames and are simple and classic like the rest of his style.

MISCELLANEOUS;
as restless as we are, we feel the pull in the land of a thousand guilts
and poured cement, lamented and assured, to the lights and towns below

ORIENTATIONS
Colin is homosexual and homoromantic. This is an orientation that Colin has kept to himself for most of his life, and has been terrified to be open about. He has thankfully now come to terms with his own identity, and though he is still rather shy about it, after so many years of being terrified he is finally open and happy with himself.

RELATIONSHIP STATUS
Colin is currently in a relationship with James Michaels, and he is happier than ever. Colin never imagined himself finding a partner that he wholly loves and wants to spend the rest of his life with, but he is thankful he has and he couldn't imagine himself with anyone else.

PAST RELATIONSHIPS
Colin has previously dated a boy shortly after graduating Hogwarts, and was even living with him and imagining his future with him, but their relationship abruptly ended when Colin's family found out they were dating. Colin also has previously been married to Eva Marsh, a woman he met after moving to New Zealand. Colin and Eva were married for almost 20 years, but eventually separated and later divorced when they revealed to each other they were gay. Colin does see Eva as one of his closest, if not his closest friend despite it all and he is happy they have a daughter together.

BOGGART
One of Colin's biggest fears is rejection and his family being disappointed with him, so if Colin encountered a boggart it would appear as the memory of his mother being disgusted and disapproving of who he is. When casting Riddikulus his mother would then appear as a clown, and this would make him laugh as his mother was always very serious.

PATRONUS
Colin's patronus is a wild hare, and this is because similarly to a hare, Colin is rather shy and enjoys spending most of his time alone, instead of in larger groups and he is happy being independent. Colin when he was growing up did sometimes see wild rabbits and hares at his grandparent's farm, and he would find the image of the animals comforting and reassuring as it would remind him of simpler and happier times in his childhood.

MIRROR OF ERISED
If Colin gazed into the Mirror of Erised he first and foremost see himself growing old with James, and he would see Winnie growing up and building a life of her own and he would also see himself with his future grandchildren. Colin has not considered having another child as he does think that part of his life has passed him by, so currently he would only see himself around James and Winnie and his future grandchildren.

PERSONALITY;
weather-wise it's such a lovely day, just say the words and we'll beat the birds down
to Acapulco Bay, it's perfect for a flying honeymoon, they say come fly with me

INTERESTS AND HOBBIES
Colin has an interest in anything to do with reading and literature, whether it be academic literature or fiction based literature, although he does admittedly have an affinity for stories and fiction over anything else. Colin has loved stories ever since he was a small child, he would read every book and story he could get his hands on and this interest has not changed since he has grown up. Colin is of course also interested in writing and his main hobby is writing. He has for the most part focused on play writing as Colin was introduced to pay writing through a drama club in school, and he does love the intricacies and nuances of a script as it is acted on stage. He loves seeing his stories come to life and play writing is the easiest way for Colin to achieve this. Colin has also attempted writing many novels throughout the years, but has never finished any long form novel he has written, whether it be because his inspiration fizzled out or because of something happening in his life. Colin has a particular interest in the plays of Shakespeare and their historical significance, and he enjoys that the works of Shakespeare have lasted and stayed relevant throughout many centuries. Colin of course loves the theatre and he loves seeing productions, whether they be magical or muggle performances. Colin is also interested in directing and set and costume design, from producing performances while he was at school and with his own works as an adult, though the idea of acting terrifies him and he gladly remains working behind the scenes and leaving the acting to people who are talented. He is also interested minorly in muggle film production, due to the aspect of storytelling it provides, and he has read a bit about the technology involved but he is admittedly a bit overwhelmed by it all.

STRENGTHS
Colin is well spoken and admittedly a bit soft spoken, and tries to be polite to anyone he meets. He tries his best to listen to and understand other people, especially people who share other or opposite points of view to his own, because it is an opportunity for him to learn a different perspective and widen his own understanding of the world. Colin cares deeply about his family and friends and shows them affection often and in ways he is comfortable. He consider the values of others above his own, and he does try his best to make other people, especially his family, happy and meet their expectations of him. He wants the best for his family and tries his best to keep his family happy and support them in reaching their goals. Colin is usually reliable and trustworthy and the thought of acting otherwise terrifies him. It is not too natural for Colin to be overly affectionate or comforting, but if someone needs comfort he will do his best to reassure them everything will turn out okay. He believes everyone deserves to find their own happiness in life and tries to be optimistic and find good traits in everyone he meets.

WEAKNESSES
Colin, when he is distressed or unsure of himself, will often withdraw and keep to himself, focusing on his writing or reading a book to process his thoughts and feelings. This more often than not leads Colin to avoid talking about his feelings and distancing himself from the people he cares about, especially when something is immeasurably wrong, and this is one of his most prominent weaknesses. Colin also puts the expectations others have of him above anything else, and this has plagued him throughout his adult life as he has lived a life based off of what others think of him instead of following his heart. Colin has worked towards making choices for himself and building a more honest and better future but he still finds himself following these coping patterns in some ways as it is all he has known. Colin also takes things other people say to heart, and if someone makes an off handed comment or is emotional and comments out of anger it hurts him deeply and he finds it difficult to let it go. He also has a habit of becoming lost in his own thoughts, whether it be because of his emotions or writing he is working on and he finds it difficult to pay attention to the present and can tune out of and stop listening to conversations. While Colin tries his best to be affectionate in his own ways, he generally is not an openly affectionate person and between this and his habits of isolating himself and becoming lost in his thoughts, he can often come across as standoffish and rude despite his best efforts to be polite.

PERSONALITY TYPE
Advocate INFJ-T
Advocates are the rarest personality types of all. Still, Advocates leave their mark on the world. They have a deep sense of idealism and integrity, but they aren’t idle dreamers – they take concrete steps to realize their goals and make a lasting impact. Advocates’ unique combination of personality traits makes them complex and quite versatile. For example, Advocates can speak with great passion and conviction, especially when standing up for their ideals. At other times, however, they may choose to be soft-spoken and understated, preferring to keep the peace rather than challenge others.

Advocates generally strive to do what’s right – and they want to help create a world where others do the right thing as well. People with this personality type may feel called to use their strengths – including creativity, imagination, and sensitivity – to uplift others and spread compassion. Concepts like egalitarianism and karma can mean a great deal to Advocates. Advocates may see helping others as their purpose in life. They are troubled by injustice, and they typically care more about altruism than personal gain. As a result, Advocates tend to step in when they see someone facing unfairness or hardship. Many people with this personality type also aspire to fix society’s deeper problems, in the hope that unfairness and hardship can become things of the past.

Advocates may be reserved, but they communicate in a way that is warm and sensitive. This emotional honesty and insight can make a powerful impression on the people around them. Advocates value deep, authentic relationships with others, and they tend to take great care with other people’s feelings. That said, these personalities also need to prioritize reconnecting with themselves. Advocates need to take some time alone now and then to decompress, recharge, and process their thoughts and feelings. (from 16personalities.com/infj-personality)

HISTORY;
once I get you up there where the air is rarefied, we'll just glide, starry-eyed
I'll be holding you so near, you may hear angels cheer 'cause we're together

EARLY YEARS
Colin was Born on August 24, 2000, and was the first child born to his parents, and the first in his generation of his family. Colin from the beginning was always a quiet and introverted child, and other than crying when he needed to in order to get attention, he did for the most part keep to himself and felt very overwhelmed when he was surrounded by people at family gathering. Colin excelled at reading and writing as he grew up. He learned how to read quickly, and his love for reading blossomed when he was finally able to read by himself. For the entirety of Colin's childhood, he was enthralled with books and tried to read any book he could get his hands on, even if the words or stories were too complicated for him to understand.

Colin spent most of his childhood as an only child, although by the time he was 8 his first younger sibling was welcomed into the world. Colin did find it difficult to adjust to having a younger sister, and because they were far apart in age Colin wasn't able to really relate to her, and he often found her crying annoying as it distracted him when he was trying to read or learn. Colin was 11 and due to start Hogwarts by the time his second younger sister was born. Being so focused and excited to begin his schooling at Hogwarts Scotland, Colin didn't have much of a chance to spend time with either of his sisters before it was finally time for him to leave, and when he did he had to admit he was relieved he could spend time by himself again.

SCHOOL YEARS
Colin was nothing other than excited when he caught the Hogwarts express and finally arrived at Hogwarts Scotland to begin his first year. His schooling had been something he had waited for his entire life, and as the sorting hat was placed on Colin's head and recognized Colin's love of learning enough to place him in Ravenclaw, Colin couldn't have been happier. Colin quickly immersed himself in his studies, and did his best to keep up with all his classes, often completing homework and his assignments before they were due. Colin truly shined being in Ravenclaw and finally being in school, and though he was still rather shy and enjoyed his time alone, and would often spend his free time in the library where it was quiet, Colin did try to be polite to his dorm mates and peers, and didn't really face any issues with them. Colin's first year ended well, and despite not making any close friends, he achieved exceptional grades. He returned for the holidays to see his parents were entirely proud of him.

Colin's second year at school went by similarly to his first year. He spent his time studying and completing assignments, resulting in exceptional grades. He also continued to keep his peers at a distance, and only kept acquaintances rather than friends as socializing was one of the last priorities. Colin was content and safely in his comfort zone at school, keeping to himself and studying as often as he could. It wasn't until Colin returned to Hogwarts to begin his third year, after a significant growth spurt, that he realised his lack of interest in socializing and his comfort zone in spending his time alone had actually caused problems for him. He noticed that everyone in his year had formed their own social groups and cliques, and this became ever more prevalent when the boys Colin shared a dorm with would sit together at meal times or study for classes together, and Colin was never invited to join them. Feeling left out, Colin tried to search for his place at Hogwarts, quickly finding it in the form of the school's Drama Club. Colin did have a small interest in theatre, and had read about the use of magic for portraying stories on stage. The subject was completely interesting to him, and he joined the club as a helping hand to one of the costume makers. As Colin's third year progressed and he became more involved in his school's drama club, volunteering for more tasks and helping out as much as he could for the club's performances, he did eventually make a few friends. Colin still continued to focus on his studies, and tried not to let his involvement with the club keep him from achieving good grades. By the time Colin completed his third year he had achieved good grades again and made a few friends, and he was happy.

Colin's fourth year also went well. Colin truly began to feel as if he has found his place at Hogwarts, he maintained his grades and kept up the few friendships he had made through the drama club. Colin even managed to begin to mend the gap between him and his dorm mates, and they ended up becoming friends by the end of the year. Colin had been content with how his schooling was going, and he wanted his fifth year to go as well as his fourth year had gone, or even better considering he was going to be taking his OWL exams. But when Colin received an unexpected letter from Hogwarts in the holidays before his fifth year, with a prefect badge inside of it, Colin realised things were going to be inherently different. Colin returned to Hogwarts admittedly overwhelmed. He felt as if there were so many new expectations and responsibilities on his shoulders with his prefect badge, and he worried he would not be able to live up to them and disappoint his professors. He also began to notice he was once again left out from his peers, not because of his lack of interest in socializing, but because of his lack of interest in dating. Dating or romantic relationships hadn't been on Colin's mind up until that point, and as Colin noticed that many of his peers were interested in women, he started to realise he wasn't. Colin then withdrew from how uncomfortable this realization made him feel, focusing more on his studies and his practical tasks with the drama club than anything else, partially to make his professors proud and feel as if his prefect badge was deserved, but also because he wanted to figure himself out. Colin managed to achieve good grades in all of his classes that year, although left for the holidays still feeling unsure of himself.

Colin returned for his sixth year still feeling confused about his feelings, or lack of feelings in regards to romance. He had tried to read famed romance novels and plays, focusing heavily on the work of Shakespeare in search of answers to his questions. His search had unfortunately been in vain, and though he understood love and its representation in literature in more detail than ever before, the knowledge he did have did little to match up with reality. To make things furthermore difficult for Colin, he somehow managed to develop a crush on one of the school's Quidditch players, who occasionally acted in plays the drama club would put together. While crushing on a boy did provide some answers to Colin, it also confused him further, and similarly to Colin's fifth year, he spent his sixth year burying himself in his studies, as he tried to both distract himself from his feelings and figure out who he was.

As Colin returned for his final year at Hogwarts Scotland, he was still unsure of how he felt, both in regards to romance and also towards himself. He again focused on practical tasks with the drama club, and on his studies more than anything else because he was at a loss of how else to handle his feelings. The fact that most of his peers seemed to show a romantic interest in the opposite gender, while he seemed to be interested in the same gender was ever present to Colin. It resulted in Colin feeling out of place and as if something was wrong with him, and it caused him to continue to keep his peers at a distance, losing a few of the friendships he had made over the years. Colin resolved to keep his feelings to himself from fear of being made more of an outcast if anyone found out and he kept to himself until graduation. He finally graduated from Hogwarts Scotland with outstanding grades and an intent to find a job and move away from home as soon as possible.

ADULTHOOD
Colin began his adulthood unsure of the exact career he wanted to have for the rest of his life, but knowing that he at least wanted to work with books and writing. Colin as a result began to apply for any job he could find that fit his criteria, soon managing to find a job in a minor wizarding publication. With the little money he made and the hours he worked, Colin tried his best to save and spend his free time writing creatively. He unsurprisingly kept to himself at work, but soon began to grow close with a boy around his age who had graduated from Hogwarts a year before him. They got along well over their mutual love of writing, and after the boy invited Colin for a wine after work, and they began to stumble back home they shared a kiss. The kiss left Colin confused, and when he returned to work the following Monday he had no idea how to act. Colin chose not to mention it and to stay in his comfort zone, burying the feelings he had and trying his best to avoid the boy as he got on with his work. It wasn't until the boy approached him to talk about what happened, that Colin realised the boy wanted more than friendship. Despite being scared of what it all meant and of what would happen if anyone found out, Colin was admittedly caught up in the excitement of dating someone, soon being able to call the boy his boyfriend, although in secret.

Colin never thought to tell his family, and alternately did not want to, thinking of his relationship as personal and special, and he didn't want anyone to ruin it. He was happy and after saving up and combining his funds with his boyfriend's, the pair were able to rent a small flat together in the wizarding part of London. Colin spent the next year of his life the happiest he had been until that point. He was excelling in his job and had a boyfriend, and though no one else knew what they were, Colin was content with how his life was going and he loved being able to spend his spare time writing and creating a future for himself.

Everything changed when Colin planned to introduce his boyfriend to his family. Previously, Colin had referred to his boyfriend as his 'friend' or 'flatmate' to his parents, but after spending over a year with the boy and realizing he would need to tell his family eventually, Colin thought it would be best to introduce them sooner rather than later. He had considered coming out to his family that day as well and being entirely honest about his life, but wanted to see how the meeting went first before making any rash decisions. He thought his parents might react better to the news if they got along with Colin's boyfriend first. Colin had been very nervous and stressed prior to the dinner at his parent's house, worrying that something would go terribly wrong, but his boyfriend had tried to reassure him everything would be alright. As they arrived and stood at the front door before knocking, Colin and his boyfriend had been caught in a kiss, Colin being nervous and needing a little more reassurance before the dinner ahead, when Colin's mother opened the door to interrupt them. In shock, and terrified at his mother's expression, Colin pushed his boyfriend away from him and then stumbled over his words, unable to think of an explanation. His mother reacted poorly and with anger and disgust, and this led to Colin's father rushing over and reacting similarly. Colin told his boyfriend to return to their flat, and then Colin walked into his childhood home to try and explain himself to his parents. He choked up and felt his heart break at their reaction, at their rejection and disappointment of what he was. Over time Colin had noticed and realised the feelings he had weren't what was 'expected' of him, but he had never thought his feelings in general or his love for his boyfriend was wrong until his parents told him so.

Colin was distraught, and torn between so many different extremes. He was heartbroken that his parents had basically disowned him, and heartbroken that they weren't able to see past their own beliefs to notice what an amazing person his boyfriend was. He wished and wanted to plead with them to accept who he was because in being honest with his feelings he had been happier than he ever could have imagined. But but he was also disgusted with himself for disappointing his family, and felt immense guilt over the fact he had been selfish with his feelings, choosing to be happy instead of grow up into the person that they wanted him to be. Fear and guilt and inner turmoil over the situation was what caused Colin to break up with his boyfriend. He also quit his job in the same week and changed his surname as soon as possible, leaving the United Kingdom entirely and moving to New Zealand for a fresh start.

As Colin arrived to New Zealand, he resolved to keep his true feelings and identity a secret and live the life he knew his parents wanted for him, hoping that one day, after a few years when his life was picturesque and 'perfect' with a white picket fence, they might forgive him and welcome him home. Colin found a job for a publishing company, and made a few new friends, including a close friend in a woman his age named Eva. They both shared a love for literature and an affinity for wine and cheese boards, and soon grew close over the things they had in common. After all the time they spent together and how well their personalities matched they eventually began dating, later getting engaged and married, and even bringing a daughter into the world. The day Winnie was born was one of the happiest days of Colin's life.

Colin left his job in publishing to spend more time at home after Winnie was born, choosing to be a stay at home parent while Eva continued to work. Colin did his best to care for Winnie, and when he was able to he focused on his writing, doing his best to keep up with his hobbies and be creative. It was Colin who taught Winnie how to read and write when she was old enough, and as she grew older and showed a love of the theatre and acting, Colin supported her and began to teach drama classes to local children as a chance for Winnie to make friends. Over time, his teaching and writing provided him with the opportunity to become a small time playwright, occasionally putting on small productions with his original works when he was able to. Colin had achieved everything he had wanted when he arrived to New Zealand. He had created the life his parents always wanted for him, he had a wonderful wife and a beautiful daughter and through Eva's career and Colin's small time productions the family was able to live comfortably. It wasn't the exact same happiness Colin felt when he was younger, and it meant sacrificing his truth and lying to the people he cared about most, but it was enough, and Colin finally considered himself to be happy again.

It wasn't until Winnie began her schooling at Hogwarts New Zealand that the cracks in Colin's life started to show, and the reality of Colin's decisions began to dawn on him. Colin predictably receded into his comfort zone and withdrew, putting a distance between him and Eva to focus on his writing, while keeping up appearances for Winnie's sake. As Winnie continued her schooling and Colin continued to distance himself from Eva, Colin furthermore decided to volunteer to assist his friend Claudia Holland in her campaign for Minister of Magic. Claudia was a friend of his, and as Colin had both the free time and the drive to focus on anything other than his home life, helping Claudia seemed only natural. Colin immersed himself in helping Claudia with her campaign and supporting her, and when she won the election he was elated for her success, although secretly dreading returning to his normal life. Colin once again cowered, refusing to admit his true feelings or face the reality he was lying to himself and everyone he knew. He spent as little time at home as possible, and continued to focus on his writing and even began a novel in an effort not to feel as if his life was falling apart. It was as Colin was avoiding his home, and working on his writing in a pub that he somehow managed to meet a younger man named James Michaels. Colin was nervous but entirely intrigued by the man, and the meeting brought up feelings he hadn't felt in decades, but also extra guilt and shame as he knew the life he had created and was living was a lie.

Colin soon reached his breaking point, the shame and guilt of hurting everyone he cared about forcing him to realise that he needed to be honest, to both himself and everyone around him. He realised that Eva deserved better, that she deserved to find someone who loved her entirely. He realised that Winnie deserved better as well, and that it would be better for her to be raised by parents who were apart and happy with themselves, instead of parents who were together and hiding the truth. Colin had never come out by choice to anyone in his life, he had thought his true identity was wrong, he had tried to hide it for everyone else's sake, he had lied to everyone he cared about including his wife and daughter, no one truly knew who he was and from years of suffocating who he truly was, Colin didn't know himself either. He was a shell of the person he was supposed to be, realizing that he had wasted so many years of his life trying to live up to his parent's expectations of him and cater to their beliefs. Colin finally realised that he deserved to be better as well, and that being honest would mean that everyone he cared about could finally be happy in the end.

It was overwhelming, when Colin finally opened up to Eva. He hadn't even said the words aloud before, when he told Eva he was gay. But he felt relieved for a moment, and soon entirely shocked when Eva revealed she was also gay. Forging new paths for themselves and their future, they then began the process of their divorce, separating and figuring out how to split their lives in two pieces. Colin moved back to the United Kingdom, finding a flat in London with two bedrooms so Winnie could stay with him, and finding a job as a librarian to support himself. It was the scariest decision Colin had ever made, to be honest with himself and the people he loved, but as he created a new life for himself that was genuine, and as he decided to slowly tell everyone in his life the truth he had been denying for so many years, he was healing. He was making progress.

Over time Colin formed new friendships with people who knew his true identity and accepted him, and even formed a romantic relationship when fate caused him to encounter James Michaels again. Colin's feelings for James had never left his mind since their first run in, and as they spent more time together and Colin realised James felt the same, the two began dating. It was another step forward and a slow progression for Colin to be open both privately and publicly as he dated a man, but he was taking life day by day and trying his best to be his honest self. Colin's relationship with James over time became more serious, and once Winnie had graduated school and was independent, Colin decided to move back to New Zealand to live with James full time. Colin is currently working as a librarian in New Zealand, and spending his free time with James and James' family, and he couldn't be happier. Colin can't wait to settle down with James and grow old with him, and possibly even start a family.
