Cairo was antisocial at the best of times and he often chose to judge others rather than understand their intentions, so that mixed with his falling out with Charlotte convinced him that he wouldn't receive any rose deliveries that year. However he had received a lone, yellow rose from Madeline Walden; one of the last people he ever expected to think of him enough to send a rose to him on valentines' day. But much to his surprise she had sent him a rose and an equally beautiful note. Both of which he held delicately in his hand while he made his way up from the great hall, to the outside of the Gryffindor common room in an effort to find her. He did not know where Madeline would be, but he assumed the common room was a good start so he stood patiently in the seventh floor corridor, waiting for Madeline or some other Gryffindor to walk past that could help him seek her out. It was uncharacteristic of him, but Cairo wanted to thank her for her unexpected kindness. It had made his day brighter whether he wanted to believe it or not and he thought she deserved at least a polite 'thank you' for her time.
