Arisa had just gotten off a very long shift at work. It had started with doctors appointments for what felt like about half the children in Obsidian Harbour, and finally when they was finished she had a meeting with her recovering alcoholics. They were all doing so well, and she was so proud of them, but right now all she wanted to do was pick up Spencer, and go home. Although Arisa was thankful that she had remembered to bring a change of clothes. She hated going home in her work clothes. What if she had to stop somewhere on the was home? The woman was sitting out on a bench in front of the docks waiting for Freddie to come, and drop off Spencer before he started his own shift at the hospital. Arisa was so happy that Freddie wanted to be part of their sons life, and that he understood that the two just weren't meant to be together. The sun was beginning to set, and it looked so beautiful over the harbour.
Arisa yawned, and took a sip of coffee from her little paper cup. It was old hospital coffee, but it would at least keep her awake for the next couple hours before Spencer's bed time. She had the day off the next day so she wanted to stay up, and get some things done around the apartment that she had been putting off. Arisa looked down, and checked her watch. Where was Freddie? His shift was supposed to start in half an hour. The man was probably running late again. Maybe Spencer had needed a last minute diaper change. That was probably it. There was no sense in worrying. Of course that didn't stop her from worrying a little. Since she had became a mother she found herself worrying more then she had in her entire life. Honestly it made her feel a little bad for what she had put her mom through, but only a little.
