Candy for Vilhelmine

Well, that was a name she'd never heard of before. And what a name it was! Daisy was sure she was slaughtering the pronunciation, but she was over excited to meet the person with the badass name. With a lot of questions, directions and corrections, Daisy finally found her way to the Fourth Floor, and sent someone into the Hufflepuff House place to find the great Vilhelmine of Great Names so she could deliver her candy cane.

Vilhelmine was doodling in her notebook by the fireplace when an older student approached to inform her of a girl asking her outside. The Hufflepuff frowned. She hadn't forgotten plans with Ursula, had she? That would have been awful. Shutting her notebook, Vil stood up and made her way through the common room exit, emerging carefully out of the other side. She looked around. She didn't recognise anybody who might want to talk to her, but there was a girl standing by the entrance. "Hello?" she said. "Someone is waiting for me?"

The girl walked out and Daisy grinned. "Ohmygosh look at you, you're perfect." She muttered. She figured giving the girl a kiss on the head, or even a hug would be too much, but with the excitement of delivering presents and then the best name of her life, Daisy could hardly contain it. "What does your name mean?" Daisy asked excitedly before remembering why she was actually there. "Oh - and here -" She quickly handed the Candy Cane and note over. "But what does your name mean?"

Vilhelmine stared at the older girl, shrinking a little at her greeting. Nobody had ever been quite so excited to see her before, and the fact Vil had no idea who she was made the entire encounter all the more perplexing. She took the candy cane and unfolded the note, a blush spreading quickly across her cheeks. It was from Ursula. Vil felt her lips tugging into a smile, and quickly fought it away. "I do not know," she said. "I am sorry... Thank you for my candy cane. I will find out what my name means, and tell you. I mean - if you want me to." The blush deepened. "It is probably something boring, like 'Good,' or 'Happy.' But I will find out. Then we will both know. OK?"

Daisy stood excitedly watching the girl reading her note, a grin still lingering on her own face. As the girl responded about her name, Daisy was gobsmacked - who could have a name like that and not know what it meant?! She had to find out. Luckily the girl said she would find out and tell her. "Oooh yes please!" Daisy exclaimed, before shaking her head at what her new little friend thought it meant. "Oh no way, it definitely means something like, badass or warrior or - or something badass." Daisy responded, placing a hand on the girl's shoulder. She just had to know. "Tell you what, I'm going to try and find out as well, first one to tell the other one wins!" Daisy exclaimed again. "Okay, go!" She called, before racing away, not knowing where on earth she was going to find the name. She was sure her mom could google it for her, but that would take forever.
