Andromeda sat on the large boulder overlooking the lake, she had just spent about ten minutes stroking the tentacles of the large squid who seemed to enjoy the past time in this weather. She didn't know why certain animals or creatures were terrified of her and others could simply careless. As she watched the last of it's tentacles submerge she looked upward at the sound of an owl. It dropped a strange shaped package to her before taking off again. She watched the owl fly away before looking at the package and opening it carefully. A scroll was rolled up around a wand and Andromeda looked at it closely. It was beautiful but she had a wand, why would someone be sending her another?

As she unfurled the scroll she gasped, it was the her uncles will. There was no letter attached at all just simply the will. Letting her know that he had left his money and his wand to her.

Andy would have given anything to have him back instead as she looked at the wand in her hand. She remembered how he had ordered a new one especially to aid in his healing profession and now it was hers. A tear edged its way out and slowly ran unbidden down her cheek. She grasped it tightly in the palm of her hand and bunching her fists up to her face, hid the rest of the tears that fell. How often she had wanted nothing more than to rewind time and have him back, have her father back? How often had she cried out for them only to hear the silence answer her? The wand seemed like a different kind of answer altogether and though it made her so utterly sad, it also gave her a strength to know that she could wield his wand when she went to work in St. Mungo's.

Patricia had recovered well from her cold, and about time too, she had done very little for the last two weeks, apart from attend classes. But now that she was back to full health she decided to get right back into her usual routine, and for starters she was going to go for a long over due jog. Sure she had barely ate anything for the past while and had subsequently lost a few pounds, but she enjoyed jogging, it gave her time to think and a lot had been happening in her life recently.

At breakfast that morning she had recieved yet another letter from home, this time informing her of another guest to her brothers wedding, Headmistress Rambolt. Patricia had to stop herself from screaming out loud. She was so excited for her brother and Nataliia, she had to admit they were a great couple and the fact Nataliia was pregnant was even better. But to have not one, not two, but three Professors attending their wedding, quite frankly creeped Patricia out. What was worse, one of them was Christopher, her other brother's, date. She wasn't even aware Christopher and Professor Glasson knew each other.

Trying to forget about the distaster of a wedding it could turn out to be she finished her breakafast and went outside for her run. It was now Autumn and the ground of Hogwarts New Zealand looked lovely. With the great oak trees leaves changing colour and falling on to the undisturbed lake, it all seemed quite peaceful. Zipping up her light jacket she headed for the lake, deciding to go easy today, she was only starting back again after very little excercise in a few weeks. As she ran she looked about and saw the tal hoops from the Quidditch Pitch and she couldn't help but smile after the most recent game. Sure she was said that she didn't get to play but the fact Hufflepuff won soon made her forget about that.

As Patricia made her way around the lake she saw a familiar face on one of the large boulders overlooking the lake. It was Andromeda Fiorelli. Patricia had never realy talked to teh girl before, only around student clubs and she seemed really nice, but ever since the encounter with her, so to speak, in the dungeons, Patricia had been avoiding her, even in the clubs. It was hard for the Hufflepuff teen to take in the fact that someone she had known for three years was a werewolve. And even though she had been comforted and reassured that she was harmless, she still felt awkward around her. As she ran past her she didn't make eye contact and hoped she wouldn't try and talk to her.

Andy heard the sound of footsteps hurrying by and turned to see who it was. She only knew Patricia from the clubs they had shared but she had always seemed nice enough. Perhaps she had thought that Andromeda had needed some privacy and that was why she hurried on. Smiling and wiping the tears away Andy called out to her.

"Hi Patricia" she folded up the parchment but still held on to the wand, sliding off the rock she walked towards her, "I haven't seen you around in a while. I heard your house beat Slytherin the other day, congrats".

Andy hadn't had a chance to see the game but she had heard all about it.

Patricia stopped in her tracks when she heard Andy calling her name. Patricia put on a smile and turned towards the older Gryffindor girl and walked up to her, she looked like she had been crying. Patricia told herself that she had no reason to be afraid of Andromeada, after all she was human, just like her.

"Hi Andy." she replied. "Yeah I've been cooped up in my dorm, got the flu for a few weeks but all better now." she said happily, she had been so miserable recently. "Yeah thanks. Unfortunately I had to miss it. But at least it's a win, unlike our first game." she said jokingly, seeing as they had lost to Gryffindor. The first game Pat ever played in and the way it seemed, possibly her last, this year.

Andy smiled at her, Patricia had always been easy enough to talk with in the clubs and as the younger girl chatted away again Andromeda felt as if that hadn't changed in the slightest. She grimaced slightly.
"We lost to Ravenclaw last game, so if we don't beat the socks off of Slytherin by alot we don't stand a chance for that cup. Do us a favour and put up a decent fight against those Eagles yeah?" she couldn't help but laugh now,

"You are definitely better now yeah?" she thought the girl looked a bit peaky but maybe that was simply Andy's imagination, "You sure you're ok?"

Patricia laughed along with Andy, "I'll be sure to pass it on to the team. But I don't think they need telling twice." She said truthfully. The whole team knew how important this game was for them and for that reason she didn't envy Rhyspa or Violet one bit. Being Captain and Co-Captain could only add to the stress the team was already feeling.

Patricia nodded her head reassuringly as Andy asked her if she was ok. "Yeah I'm fine. Just lack of sleep due to revision and my plans for my brothers wedding but apart from that I'm as fit as a fiddle." she said beaming. In all honesty she couldn't have picked a worse time to get sick, with the end of term fast approaching she needed all her strength for her exams. Sut she was glad now she was full recovered and could go that finally hurdle, full force.

Andy grinned at Patricia's comment before the younger girl continued.
"Well don't over do it on the revision, cramming is worse than anything. You certainly don't want a brain fry" she smiled at her, "A wedding? oh I haven't been to a wedding in years. I didn't even get to my mothers last one, well I wasn't invited. They eloped" she muttered remembering the letter she had received telling her the ghastly news.

"Are you going to it?"

Patricia nodded along with Andy's words of advise. Of course she had heard it all before from older students, the nurses when she visited them, her family, who she was talking to a lot more due to constand updates about the wedding. "Yeah don't worry, I'll take it easy for a while, my room-mates are saying I'm repeating spells in my sleep, so I think I should." she said with a laugh, at least it was staying in her mind.

"Oh! Patricia exclaimed as Andy told her about the mother and step-father elopping, "That's romantic?" she said in an unsure tone as Andy didn't seem to happy about it. Patricia nodded in reposnce to the girl's question. "Yes I was speaking with Headmistress Rambolt as soon as I got better and she give me permission to go." she told the girl animatedly. "But if she didn't let me go I wouldn't of been too pleased, seeing as she's going herself. And Professor Styx. And Professor Glasson. And one of the librarians. Patricia added with less excitment in her voice. It wasn't going to be easy to enjoy herself at the wedding with all the adults around her.
