Sam had come to Brightstone to see Lily and Jerrod. They were on their first year in Hogwarts and as it was a Brightstone weekend, she wanted to see them. Life hadn't exactly been heaven for her recently but she was coping. She had the people she needed the most at a time like this.
She turned a corner and saw Shaylah. The twelve year old didn't look in the best of moods but then that was expected. Shaylah was practically her daughter and had been for many many years. She walked over to Shaylah with a smile on her face. "Hi Shaylah. How are you??"

Shaylah was in a seriously bad mood. She had beaten up two people who she used to consider her brother and sister. The reason for it was simple. Their mum had hurt her mum and she wanted revenge. Nothing more, nothing less. She turned her head when she heard the voice of the woman. She scowled up at Sam and folded her arms across her chest. "How am I??" She shook her head. "You're seriously asking me that?? Ok. Put it this way. Just yesterday, I found out that you hurt my mum. She's going through a hard enough time at the moment without people like you interferring. Just keep your paws out of it." Shaylah's voice had been slowly rising while she spoke so by the time she said the last sentence, she was shouting. "I hate you. Why couldn't you just keep your problems to yourself instead of hurting other people because of them?!"

Sam was shocked at Shaylah's reaction to what had happened. She had expected her to turn her back on Tracy and instead her back was turned on Sam. "Shaylah. I didn't want to hurt you." She put her hands on the top of Shaylah's arms. "I thought you'd understand. She's the fault of everything. It was all fine before she arrived in Jay's life. She's the reason he went to azkaban and that's why Dervish is dead." Sam had to look away for a second when she talked about Dervish. She hated how he was dead. It was hard for her to handle. "I have always been there for you Shaylah. She only arrived into the picture a few months ago."

Shaylah took a step back so Sam was no longer touching her. "She's my mum. You're not." Shaylah shook her head again. She couldn't believe how much this woman didn't understand her. "I care about her way more than I care about you. Just get out of my life and leave my mum alone." Shaylah started walking away before turning around again. "Just so you know, I got my revenge. Put it this way. If I were you, I'd try and find your son and daughter. I have a feeling they're looking for you." She smirked and walked away.

Sam felt close to tears. She had always cared about Shaylah like her own daughter and now she had turned against her. She watched Shaylah walk away before realising what she had said. "Oh My God." She put her hands over her mouth. Shaylah had hurt Lily and Jerrod. Sam looked around trying to find them. They had been sat against a wall. The two of them were sat against a wall, Jerrod hugging Lily and Lily in tears. She ran over to the two of them and wrapped her arms around. She couldn't believe Shaylah had done this.
