Riley swiftly made her way up to the Owlery, wanting to write a letter to her brother. Once she reached the top, she cursed herself for not having written the letter beforehand, now having to write one in the stink of the owls. She sighed, and took out her quill and some parchment.

Dearest Big brother
I am so sorry for not writing you in so long. But boy do I have a lot to say! [As always ]
Firstly, Nevaeh is coming to Hogwarts! Did she tell you? I am so excited! As you can imagine. I sure hope she gets sorted into Gryffindor, it would suck if she wasn't with me. Apparently she's being having a bad time at home, but that was to be expected anyway.
I've really been enjoying Hogwarts. Some of the classes are quite boring, apart from DADA and Charms. I really enjoy those! But don't worry, I'm keeping my attendance up. Haven't skivved off as much as I did when I was at home, which is good. I did okay in my exams, and I am passing! I soon get to choose what I want to take in third year, what subjects do you think I should? What subjects did you take to become an Auror? I know I'll need DADA obviously; which is good.
But most importantly. . . I've met a boy. I know you probably don't want to hear about this, but I must tell you! His name is Jerrod Green. He is so good-looking, and I can't stop thinking about him! But not only because he's good-looking haha.
He's really nice to me, I'm not sure what he's like with others, but at the moment I don't really care. He's in Slytherin, but don't hold that against him. He's fantastic.
