Bright Lights & Wedding Bells

The blue sky was fading into the starry shawl of night, but the people of Las Vegas were just getting started. Up high in a modern hotel, Cassandra Scamander fell backwards onto the double bed, heaving a sigh of relief. It had been a long and weary journey for Cassandra and Jareth, but this was the place she wanted to be. Well, not as much the hotel room as the place they were hoping to visit some time during their week away. For Cassandra, this place was where she hoped to get married, to begin a new life with Jareth. It was the fresh start she had been looking for and he was the one man who could provide it.

"What's the view like?" She asked Jareth, turning her head towards the enormous panes of glass, overlooking the lights and buildings. Cassandra had never been to Las Vegas before. In fact, the furthest she had ever travelled was to New Zealand when she had moved over many years previous. She was planning to make the most of the time she had here, amongst the lights, the sounds, the many muggles. She smiled to her fiance. There was nobody else she would rather spent the rest of her life with.

Jareth gazed out of the enormous window of the modern and classy hotel room, which he had still not quite been able to take in. His breath was swiftly taken away by the view, his jaw dropping. It was seemingly beautiful, stretching out for miles. Bright lights, car headlights, he smiled. Turning to his fiance Cassandra, he made his way to the bed, his sore bare feet buried in the plush carpet. Snaking his arms around Cassandra's waist, he gently pulled her up, kissing her softly. No city was as beautiful as her. She was simply stunning tonight, even after a long day, she looked perfect. Finally pulling away, he held her hands softly and lovingly, before gesturing towards the glass.

'Why don't you see for yourself?' With a sly smile Jareth walked back to the huge window. He couldn't explain how he felt. Amazing, safe, warm. All because he would be marrying Cassandra, the only girl he had ever dreamed of spending his life with. He knew everything would be all right. He'd never felt like that before but slowly seemed to be getting used to it. Amonst other emotions, Jareth was nervous. Marriage... It was a strange thing. Two people showing their love for each other by promising to stay together forever. Could love be never ending? Jareth thought so. 'You look gorgeous', he whispered, gazing into his eyes as a warmth spread through his heart, seeping through his veins and making him feel alive.
