History:
Born in the United States Brian moved to Heidelberg Germany when he was eight years old it was then while playing in the mountains that he fell down the side. Instead of crashing to the ground he found himself inside the old monestary across the Rhein River. Nobody in his family belived how he got over there but that was in fact the first and only time he did magic untill he recieved his letter to Hogwarts three years later. His grandfather, whom obviously shares the same name affectionally gave him the nickname Brigeta.

Family:
Born to Agatha and Brian Getathorn XVIII (both lawyers at a respectable law firm) nobody in both family has ever been selected as a witch or wizard until their son. While surprised that he was accepted they were quite interested in the fact that he was a wizard. There jobs have always took alot of time and while they love their son he has spent most of his life being raised by his grandfather.He admires his Grandfather a great deal and wants to be just like him. A year before the mountain incodent however his Grandfather past away leaving him his prized posession; His Journal. He is very intelligent but quite shy referring to his books than actual people.

Brian has been taught many things that other students his age might not know, he has a great memory and as such is thought to have near genius intelligence. When he was six his mother taught him how to dance for formal occasions, this would be because she knew that he would be something (possibly a lawyer like her and her husband) and knew that formal dances and such would be apart of his life. Brian enjoyed the lesson very much since they were one of the few times he spent quality time with his mother. He was also taught a few things about sewing and how to treat girls on dates.

They both taught him the subtleties of reading faces in order ot find things that are not right, he has gotten very good at it, though will continue his lesson more when he returns home for the summer.

Year One: Brian began his 1st year at Hogwarts New Zealand, being sorted into the house of Ravenclaw. His favorite subjects is History of Magic and Charms. He is good at Astrology, and doesn't like Herbology very much. He has some difficulty producing spells do to his powerfull wand, and also has trouble flying due to a slight fear of heights. He has two good friends Andromeda (Gryffindor) and Zazuka (Ravenclaw) both 1st years like himself. He has a great desire to be the best in his year.

After flying more and more Brian has gotten over his fear of heights and is now practicing with help from his HOH to become the Ravenclaw Seeker for next year. He is one of the few to know that a Werewolf is amongst the students and has scored very well in almost all of his lessons.

Firebolt:

This was a gift from Professor Kiera Ana, Brian has enjoyed this broomstick a great deal even if it's not the very best series, he would give this broomstick up for anything.

Golden Snitch:

This Snitch was the first one Brian ever caught, this was during Private Lessons with Professor Kiera Ana, as a reward for all of his hard efforts she allowed Brian to keep the Snitch as his own. He still uses it to practice.

Year Two:

During Brian's Second Year at Hogwarts he spent most of his time in the Ravenclaw Tower having been devastated by Andromeda leaving the school, he would meet up with Zazuka a few times but stay away for most of the events including when Death Eaters kidnapped Headmistress Barker. Brian didn't not watch the Triwizard Tournament though did hope to compete one day.

Year Three

The year of great changes, Brian has become more his own character as he breaks away from the old ties that bind and forges new ones. Brian danced with a sick Violet the night of the Yule Ball (To make her feel better) and shared his first kiss with Andromeda on the top of the North Tower after one of their many arguements and came to the realization that he liked Zazuka. Brian also destroyed his most prized posession, his grandfather's journal and has thus changed from a less rash person to a more completed Ravenclaw. Brian took the Fake Njord's Death pretty hard as he felt a serious blow to justice had been made and after a fight with the Head Girl Estrella Drage began plotting revenge.

Brian gave up on his friendship with Andromeda after a huge fight in which he decided to destroy the vision he'd received in which he saw him and Andromeda together in three years. Afterwards he found Zazuka at the Quidditch Pitch and kissed her.

Brian Getathorn XVII's Journal

The Unknown Girl.

While all in the family are muggles; magic has touched the family line. Back in the 70s Brian Getathorn XVII (my granfather) traveled the world and told these stories of his many travels to his young grandson (XVII is now deceased). While traveling throughout Great Britain XVII was attacked by a Dementor (though at the time he knew not what it was as he could only feel the attack not see it) he described it as a great wave of depression and coldness as he fell to his knees It was then that a silver animal flew above him sending the darkness away with it. When he looked up a young woman was standing in front of him pulling out a peice of chocolate and shoving it down his throat.

The woman made sure that he was okay and began speaking to herself about whether she ought "modify his memory", and that "death eaters were close by" she simply turned to him and feeling that it might just be safer not to erase his memory informed him that these were "dark times especially for muggles with Dementors traveling all about and that he should just go home and forget everything he saw and always remeber Wit Beyond Measure is Man's Greatest Treasure understand?" he turned around to try and catch a gander at whatever the silver creature was and after hearing a pop! noise turned and saw she was gone.

He did go back to America he never forgot that day even though he never understood any of it and nobody ever believed him untill now of course.

The China escapade:

When Brian Getathorn XVII was younger he traveled all over the world he even visited China (this was during the 1940s) There he met a beutiful woman name Kimiko who was the daughter of a poor farmer. The farmer and all the other farmers around grew flowers that would only grow in that region of China and knew they could make alot of money should they be able to sell it to foreigners. The Chinese Government however banned trading and caused many of their own people to go hungry or worse. Brian had a friend from Japan who was interested in buying the flowers to help cheer up the peope of his country (this was after WWII so the Japanese felt really bad) but the Chinese wouldn't allow it. They arrested and tortured Brian and left him in prison to die which he would've done had Kimiko not dressed up as a guard and broken him out. They fled China and married soon after; Brian was able to sell the flowers and help the people of Kimiko's village. They would have one child named Brian Getathorn XVIII; alas however Kimiko died in 1956 in labor with there second child a daughter name Sakura whom died as well. this always left Brian shattered for he never fully recovered from it.



The African Jump.

Shortly after meeting his wife and leaving China Brian Getathorn XVII and Kimiko got married in 1951 they decided to celebrate their Anniversery by going to Africa on an expedition to hunt wild animals. However as they were flying over their plane received Engines troubles and they were forced to jump using parachutes, they landed near an African tribe. Brian didn't know how to speak the natives language so decided it would be best to avoid them however the African tribe had scene Americans before and probably would've helped them find the nearest city as they were a pretty peacefull tribe (least towards foreigners that brought food and water to their poor tribe).

Instead Kimiko and Brian traveled the forest for three days surviving on local fruits, when they finally found help they were both sick and needed medical attention. This illness greatly weaken both immune systems leaving Kimiko too weak to survive the child birth of her son years later and leaving Brian slightly ill for the rest of his life finally claiming him many years later.

Death of a Champion


This is the last moments of Brian Edrich Getathorn XVII life as written by his grandson nicknamed Brigeta.

It had been a rainy night, as though even the Angels above were morning the loss that was about to take place. Brian's parents had said there goodbyes and were waiting in the hallway as Brian came in to see his Grandfather one last time. His grandfather had been sick for a few days and the doctor has said he wouldn't last the night, but even so Brian XVII was not afraid.

"Don't worry M'boy I'm gonna be alright" he said with a smiled, struggling to pat his grandson on the back, Brian had tears streaming down his face as he stared at the man he admired most, his mother was in the back crying into his fathers arms as she watched the agony her son was in. "I don't want you to go" Brian said with much strain and pleading in his voice. "Now, Now it'll be alright, I lived a very good life and now I'm going to go see grandma!" he said his voice getting wheezy.

"She can wait a little longer can't she?" Brian cried knowing their time was short. "No, I don't think she can. Don't worry though, cause I'll always be with you Brigeta" He said using the nickname he'd given his grandson "I also want you to have my journal inside the drawer over there" Brian XVII said pointing across from him. Brian didn't move crying harder "I don't want it Grandpa, I want you!" he cried hugging his grandfather tight, his mother sobbing in the back. "I know Brigeta, but you must remeber In life you must always be willing to let everything go, because when you try to hold on to it, That's when you've really lost it" Brian XVII said softly.

"Always remeber Brigeta, Wit Beyond Measure is Man's Greatest Treasure" his grandfather wheezed as Brian clunged to him hearing his heart thumping faster and faster, then slower, slower, then not at all.
