Andi enjoyed sleeping in on weekends, but she did not enjoy sleeping in only to wake up and realize that she had missed breakfast and needed to wait for lunch. It was the last thing she had wanted to hear that morning and it dampened her spirit as she got dressed for the day. Food was something essential to ensure her mood stayed happy and her ability to pay attention did not completely leave her. Without a full tummy to begin the day, everything she did would be off kilter and she would feel like crap for the whole afternoon. Though soon after Andi was dressed, ready, and leaving her dorm, a thought crossed her mind to venture to the kitchens to find something to eat. She had not been to the kitchens to eat between meals since her first year and assumed it would presently be busy with the house elves preparing lunch, though the possibility of not waiting for food, mixed with her rumbling stomach was all the convincing she needed to walk there that morning.

She descended from her common room and arrived at the kitchens to find there weren't as many house elves as she expected. With a hopeful smile on her face she quickly approached one of the pantries and opened the door. She found a roll of bread on a shelf and picked it up, moving to an empty section of a bench where she chopped off a slice with a nearby knife. After looking around she spotted a plate of butter and used the knife to spread some over her bread. With that ordeal over she took a bite, feeling her smile widen. A piece of bread with butter was not the most filling nor nutritious thing to have shortly after waking up but it was all Andi could manage. She was pleased to not have to practically starve to death while waiting for lunch to start and leaned back against the bench while she ate, continuing to smile at her accomplishment of finding food.

If she didn't actually sleep every night in her Gryffindor dorm, Rory would swear sometimes that the true place she lived in the castle was the kitchens. She had found her way into the beautiful rooms of untimed food access fairly early in her first year, and ever since then had become quite well acquainted with the place through various short day trips and longer night time shenanigans. It had made her slightly unwelcome in the eyes of some house elves, but until the day she found herself being driven out on the spot, Rory was going to keep ducking in whenever the need arose. Such as, right now. She'd had breakfast already, and she wasn't looking to spoil her lunch... but she needed an apple. For - needling purposes. Annoying someone in the nicest possible way. Rory grinned at the thought. It shouldn't have taken more than a moment to locate the piece of fruit and be on her way, but she was soon distracted by the sight of one of her dormmates - chewing on something, no less. "Hey," Rory grinned, making her way over to Andi. "Fancy seeing you here." She gave the surrounding benches a quick cursory glance, hoping to see a fruit bowl. "Seen any apples about the place? What are you eating?" If it was something good, she might try and manoeuvre a small piece for herself.
