Closed Birds of a Feather

Ozzy had been on Miro's mind lately, not only because he missed his odd once-Slytherin friend's aura on his day and the fun they had making forts in the forbidden forest, but also because he knew he didn't want to let their friendship fall by the wayside. Ozzy was different, interesting, his perspectives veiled with a different view of the world, in a way that Miro valued and never wanted to lose. It was something he almost realized he was fearful of losing amongst his efforts to focus on his schooling and quidditch resulting in him spending less time with his friends in general, let alone remembering to write to ones that lived far away. With this in mind and a black and white striped feather in hand that Carolina had gifted to him, Miro allotted time aside that afternoon to write Ozzy a letter to keep him in the loop of all the Hogwarts happenings, ensuring the cool looking feather was included in the envelope as he sent the letter away with a scrawny looking owl.​

My cousin found this cool stripey feather that made me think of you, so I've added it to this envelope, she told me what bird it's from but I don't remember, it's cool huh?

Anyway I miss you bro! I actually have to do school stuff now and study and it SUCKS and school SUCKS especially without you, but hey with all the learning I'm doing and with your learning too, it means one day when we're old enough to use magic at home we can use all the new charms and potions and stuff to explore the forests by your house.

I think it could be fun and scary too, like when we watched those movies about the creepy monsters eating those people in the forest, do you remember that movie??

Hogwarts is pretty boring, but my cousins are at school now and we went to halloween dressed as cat in the hat and thing one and thing two. I still wanna dress up with you as Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde one day that would be so fun!!

That is pretty cool. I will try not to set it on fire. I am going to ask my parents to turn it into a quill.

I am doing well studying at home. It is a lot better than at school itself. My parents are honestly the best and get me more than the professors ever did. I can use magic while at home, but only during the days I am learning. Strange, isn't it? When we turn 17, we need to get together and make some trouble. It is a little boring to do things here and not get punished,

Oh yes, I draw the monsters all of the time. Turns out, I am a great sketch artist.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a lot more fun than Cat in the Hat. Halloween is supposed to be scary, not full of silliness of a children's book.
