Aurora loves her name, she knows that it’s both the name of her grandmother, but it’s also the name of a princess and Aurora wants nothing more than to be compared to a princess. She loves her name. She is glad that she got called Aurora and not Rosie. She likes her twin’s name but she prefers her own, perhaps because it is her own. Aurora is fiercely in love with her whole family. She is very protective of her twin despite being the younger of the two, she is just very close to her and hates when people aren’t kind to her sister. They do a lot of things together and Aurora loves her dearly. She wouldn’t exchange having a twin over anything in the world. Aurora is also very close to her brother, there isn’t much of a age different between them, but they are rather different people. She can end up being quite critical of people who are purebloods, even if it does go against what she actually believes.
HOMETOWN
Aurora has lived in the same place her whole life, it’s a little country house, big enough for the whole family but far from anything. She doesn’t know exactly where it is, but she loves it regardless. The house is spread over two floors, with four bedrooms, a bedroom for her parents, her brother’s bedroom, and the room she shares with Rosie, they could have their own rooms, but Aurora would really rather not.

Aurora has long brown hair, she has hair more like her parents than her twin does. Her hair is much darker than her twin. Aurora goes between two different styles a slightly longer bob style hair cut and a much longer style where her hair is below her shoulders and which she usually keeps pretty wavy. She likes curling her hair whenever it’s much longer. She keeps her hair pretty strictly in a middle parting, finding that her hair falls in the best way like this. It always in her mind frames her space well. She likes it a lot. She sometimes gets a bit jealous with her twin’s lighter hair, but she also really loves her own hair and she likes that it’s close to their parents.

Aurora would never dye her hair. As much she likes how her sister’s hair looks and half wishes that her own hair wasn’t too dissimilar to it, or that she could see how it looks, she likes her hair exactly how it is and thinks that she would just end up damaging it a whole lot if she dyed it. Aurora knows that hair gets damaged with prolonged dying, but she has a fear that she’d do it once and that would it. She is terrified of losing her hair. So she would never do anything to risk it.

Aurora is the only woman of her family to have a shade of blue much like her father and older brother. Aurora in many ways takes very much after her brother and father, she has a much closer appearance to the two of them. Aurora loves her eye colour, she loves the blue which brings her closer to her father. She likes being like the Archers. Even if on both sides of the family there are high achievers, she wants to be like the archers more than anything else, so looking a little more like them than the moon side of the family suits her fine.

Aurora has a birthmark on the side of her nose. It’s a pretty noticable mark on her family, It bothers her a little, but she knows that it isn’t something she can do anything about. Aurora is a very stubborn and outspoken person, she has firm ideals which she will stick to. She is not easily swayed away and has a very predetermined way of thinking how everyone around her should be. In the end she was very happy with her wand, unicorn core was nice and pretty, the wood was willow which was was a good wood in her mind. She likes the shape and the length of it. Its a long wand, not easily hidden but she likes that it is like that.

FIRST THOUGHTS
Aurora had heard so many stories about Hogwarts, had seen so many pictures, had heard so many stories about what it was like and what things she might sees, what others had experienced. So she had an idea of what it was like in her head, and really began to worry that it wasn't going to live up to it, but it was better than all of it. She loved it, and then loves how it looks, the way it stood. It was a perfect school from the first moment she arrived.
HOUSE

THOUGHTS WHILE BEING SORTED
Aurora was sorted before her sister, despite being younger than her, but by the alphabetical order she was the first one. She knew she wanted to be in gryffindor, like her uncle but she was also worried about her sister not joining her. She wanted to be able to share the house with her sister and knew that it might end up not being the case, so she was more nervous about that aspect than the actual sorting. She knew that no matter where she actually ended up no one in her family would mind, she just wanted to be in a certain place. Aurora was sorted relatively quickly and was thankfully followed by her sister.
SORTING POST
Aurora Archer was very eager to finally be here. She'd heard so many stories, from practically all branches of her family, a hufflepuf aunt, a slytherin dad, a gryffindor uncle, a ravenclaw brother, rarely a family gather went by without her hearing about this place, and finally it was her turn, with her twin sister at her side, they were both at long last here. The train ride had been fun but long, and the closer she got the more difficult it became to hide the bubbling excitement. She just wanted to get sorted, sit down, eat her food and be a part of this school. To be able to see the library that she had always heard so much about, to be able to go the quidditch pitch and see where her mother, her two aunts, her uncle and her brother had played. There was so much history in these walls for her and she hadn't even begun making her own. She had spent the train ride with Rosie, and they'd met a boy who Aurora could spot within the crowd of new students as they were waiting to head in. She spotted Kiara and waved at the girl, stopping short from inviting the girl to come stand with her and her twin, mostly because the doors had opened and she was following the group into the hall.
Aurora had seen pictures of Hogwarts but really nothing was quite mlike the way the hall looked, the way the table sat, the way the pictures didn't do justice to how high the ceiling was. The way the candles reflected in the light. She spotted Branson at the Ravenclaw table and waved excitedly at him. She stopped as the other students did, and took Rosie's hand and moved through the other students until they were more in the crowd and could see the hat better. She'd heard about this, about what the hat would do so many times, how it had felt or sounded but she listened closely and enjoyed the song. She had believed the hat was a better singer, than it ended up being but it was enjoyable and she thought it was quite a way to start this. She had to imagine it was a real shock to see a hat sing like that if you didn't know if was coming. But Aurora had and she cheered loudly not dropping Rosie's hand as she did so.
With that done though and a surname beginning with A it wasn't long until Aurora's name was called. She squeezed her sister's hand and confident rushed forward. She found her brother's gaze in the crowd and then her sisters, looking to her family for the reassurance as the hat was placed on her head. Aurora knew she would fine no matter where she ended up, her family would be proud no matter where she landed. Aurora also knew where she wanted to be but, it was up to the hat to make the final choice.

Seventh Year
PREVIOUS YEARS
(Y40) First Year: Aurora's first year at Hogwarts, was in her mind excellent, she was with her sister, and they were both in Gryffindor. She immediately got to know her best Soren, and lots of the other girls in her house. It had a lot of good people. She made friends with Kiara in Ravenclaw and enjoyed all of her classes. She wasn't able to join the quidditch team, but did join the heta omega club and the SDA with the intention to eventually duel. Aurora went to the yuleball with Rosie and with Soren and Xinyi and Isadora, it was really fun, she loved dancing. She handed out roses with Rosie and just really enjoyed herself. She got a scattering of EE and O's in her classes, which she was very happy with.
(Y41) Second Year: Aurora was determined in her second year, she tried out for the quidditch team and was very happy when she actually managed to get on to the team as a full beater and not as an alternate. She also bought a camera over the break that she was intending to use and get good with but she didn't have much time for it. Otherwise the year was good, she spent time with lots of her friends and was able to reallymake the most of the year. She didn't get to play too many games of quidditch (as they were all super short) but she had fun and is looking to improve.
(Y42) Third Year: Aurora was very ready for third year, she was taking the classes that would allow her to start the path towards being a healer. She took only the electives that she would need. She focused a lot on her quidditch during this semester, practically handing over her camera to her sister. Aurora took part in the duelling this year and ended up winning the tournament for her year. She was very happy with that. Her grades were finally perfect and she was very happy with herself. She had to spend some time at the beginning of the semester with cheering Rosie up but overall she felt she had a good year.
(Y43) Fourth year: Aurora was keen to immediately get started on this year, she had really enjoyed the previous year, and enjoyed focusing on the electives that would get her her dream job. She was looking forward to getting to her OWLs in the following year and just being ever closer. She had a good year, enjoying that the rose giving was back and giving her all in the quidditch practices and games. Aurora was a little disappointed with how Soren was in the year, especially as she began to do less things with her sister. She once again tried her hand at duelling but did not have the same success as in the year prior. Though she had thought the year prior was a bit of a fluke. But really she had a good year.
(Y44) Fifth Year: At the beginning of her fifth year of School, Aurora was named a prefect for her house. This was a really great thing in her mind, she was so proud of herself for having been given the honour. She then worked hard the entire year, making sure that she was doing the best that she could so that she would pass her OWLs well. She got a boyfriend during it, and was overall happy with the success of it. She tried duelling again, and though she enjoyed it, she didn't manage to win for her year group.
(Y45) Sixth Year: Aurora's sixth year was calmer than her fifth. She once again felt just a little closer to her end goal of being able to become a healer. She knew she needed to do well, but there was less pressure on her. She and Soren are now an item and she spent all of the celebrations with him. Aurora excelled at quidditch, though the team didn't manage to win much. It was a good year for her. She's been very happy with how it turned out.

BEST CLASS
Aurora would say that her best class is defense against the dark arts,s he likes learning about offensive and defensive spells. she likes learning about dark wizards and knowing how to defend herself, they are the spells that she struggles the least with and therefore usually feels pretty good about the class. It helps that she also really liked Professor Drage who is in her opinion just a really sound and kind professor.
WORST CLASS
Aurora isn't sure she really has a worst class yet, she really struggles with some elements around transfiguration, just finding those spells slightly more difficult, having less success with them in general, she doesn't mind it, knowing it's a bit of a tricky subject and with more time she will be able to get better at it.
