The Basics
Character's Name: Prudence Audrey Euphemia Beauchamp. Nobody, I mean nobody, calls her Prudence. It's extremely ill-fitting, even if it wasn't very old fashioned.
Prudence - from the Latin prudentia, meaning "caution" or "discretion"
Audrey - Anglo name meaning "noble strength"
Euphemia - "well spoken" or "words of good omen", from the Eastern Orthodox saint
Beauchamp - from the French for "beautiful field" (pronounced 'beech-am')

Character's Birthdate: 17 November 2047.

Hometown: Born in Sydney, Australia - but travelled around a lot until settling near Brightstone Village after her parents retired from playing professional Quidditch.

Blood Status: Mixed blood, but a reasonably long line of witches and wizards on both sides of her family.

Wand: Curly 11 1/2 Inch Unyielding Walnut Wand with Boomslang Venom Core.
Walnut - A wand for the brilliant, often used by innovators and creative types - a Walnut wand in the right hands will do its owners bidding unquestioningly.
Boomslang Venom - Wands with a core of boomslang venom are good for use in transfiguration work. It is known to boost jinxes and hexes.

Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw, with a Slytherin rising.
"Hufflepuff isn't boring, but it's also not for you. Here I see two front runners, battling between your desire for knowledge and the measures which you would take to get it. You seek challenge and you desire to learn, and for that...Ravenclaw!"

Appearance
Hair: Brown, a little beyond shoulder length, usually kind of messy despite her "best" efforts (read: minimal unless she's wanting to try something).

Eyes: Dark brown.

Height: Fairly average height for a pre-teen girl, though she's shooting up and is in that awkward all limbs rapid growth stage.

Style: Her family is fairly well off, so she is quite well dressed with muggle and magical fashion. Though, she can run around a bit and make a mess of things.

Other Distinguishing Features: Audrey is left-handed.

A Little Deeper
Personality: At first glance, somewhat abrasive. She doesn't really go in for polite small talk and finds adults asking about the weather extremely boring. While she doesn't go out of her way to be rude, and certainly has been raised to mind her manners, she isn't exactly what one would call polite, either. At least at first, though it doesn't take much for her to relax a little if there's common ground, and will quickly be friendlier. She's the type of girl who likes to act out for attention, as her parents tend to be busy. She's intelligent, but doesn't have a good outlet or many opportunities to challenge herself, and as such often gets bored. She has a lot of fun with pranks, though they usually aren't malicious in intent (sometimes they can be). A little careless, perhaps, but not actively harmful. Mostly. She has a lot of ideas and grand dreams, though lacks finesse in her youth. She'll grow into it in time. She has the potential to be quite clever and strategic, but has to temper her impatience a little to really master it. It's part of the way there, at least.

Likes: Pulling pranks, standing out, fashion, bad jokes, hanging out with fun people, card and board games if they're fast paced enough, learning new things, challenges, Quidditch players (but only if they're good looking), magical pop bands like The Sirens and magical rock/metal bands like Veritaserum and Ashes.

Dislikes: Being bossed around, boredom, being ignored, work that's way too easy, her parents (most of the time), her first name, uncomfortable outfits, people who aren't interesting or don't get her, card and board games that are too slow, magical country music and bad poetry.

Goals: Wants to try and become an animagus, wants to learn a lot of complicated and fun magic, wants to do something memorable and incredible one day, wants to make some solid friendships.

Fears: Being forgotten, not having anything to make her think, not standing out, turning into her parents.

Amortentia: Chocolate cake, lavender & leather.

Mirror of Erised: Her standing with her parents and extended family and them supporting her and adoring her. And possibly with a huge trophy for having made some incredible discovery, like a new method of time travel with magic, or sentient magical life on another planet, or a perfect magical mascara that never runs or smudges. Small things like that.

Boggart: Her parents, acting as though they can't see her or that she never even existed in the first place.

Patronus: A fox (most likely) - cunning, adaptable, strategic.

Family: Only child of Quidditch playing parents. Her parents bought a house off their meeting story - they were both national beaters, and in a world cup match between South Africa (her father, Ambrosius Beauchamp) and Australia (her mother, Bethan Griffiths, playing for her adoptive country at the time), her parents knocked each other off their brooms at the same time (they were both beaters). They met properly while being checked for concussion and were married six months later. At least that's how the story goes, they actually did know each other before that point but one must never get in the way of a good story. Bethan took a break from Quidditch to have Audrey, but returned to play for a little while after. They mostly coach these days, however.
Her cousin, Oswald Brambleheart, is also staying with them, except since he's a year above Audrey at Hogwarts and in a different house she lost her favourite punching bag. Though she generally prefers to irritate her father.
Her other cousin, Gwydion Amos (Bethan was one of three sisters who had varying romantic entanglements - Bethan's was the most approved of the three) is in seventh year at Ilvermorny, although he was a student at Hogwarts in Scotland first. Like Audrey, he was a borderline Ravenclaw/Slytherin, although in his case the scales tipped for the snakes.

Pre-Hogwarts

From the moment Audrey knew about the existence of magic school, she'd practically been counting down the days until her parents would let her go. She thought it was extremely unfair that with a November birthday she couldn't just start a bit earlier, but her Hogwarts letter didn't show up until after she turned eleven, as was tradition. At least in the meantime she could meet a few potential classmates, for better or for worse...

First Year

In a mildly surprising move (not so much to Audrey herself), the Sorting Hat dictated that she would be sorted into Ravenclaw. For her part, she was just grateful not to be in Hufflepuff. But the hat saw intelligence and a love of learning in her head, and accordingly she made it her mission to challenge herself, to learn everything she could, and to have plenty of fun along the way with some like minded allies by her side.
