It had been nearly two years since Willow had graduated and moved in with her roommate Dominique. The two had a fairly special bond as two girls who were currently doing nothing with their lives. Well, Dom seemed to have some things planned out, but Willow, she was still trying to get work. As an actress, she didn't have much chance being based in New Zealand and she wasn't really ready to do any big move. Given her career limitations by staying in New Zealand she was probably not doing herself any favours, but she couldn't help it. She loved New Zealand her sister and parents were here, she wasn't about to jeopardise that for a small chance at maybe getting some work somewhere in the world, it just wasn't worth the risk for her. She'd had one bit part right out of school, but was having no luck since then. It was hard, but she was very stubborn and knew how to keep herself motivated which was a vital talent and helped give her that little extra push to actually try harder.

Coming out of one such audition, Willow sighed and rolled her eyes slowly, crossing the listing off of her notes. They'd seemed interested at first, but as they kept going through it was clear that she was not what they wanted. Willow wasn't really interested in the kinds of scenes they's be doing in their production and she had her morals to stand by. She may have been promiscuous in her school days and she still was, but that was behind closed doors, not in front of crowds of potentially thousands of people. She just wasn't interested in that sort of thing. Still, she was running out of options and she had only one other opportunity that day. There was a listing for a small part on a play about Harry Potter. The part was not listed, but she would be interested in finding out more so she'd set up a meeting. It was hard without an agent, but she couldn't get one of those without some extra work under her belt. It was such a competitive ride these days and it was all really quite frustrating. However, this particular meeting was not for several hours and so Willow looked around Obsidian Harbour, slightly lost as for what to do. She'd never quite felt this level of stress before.

Since graduating from Hogwarts Skye didn't spend much time in New Zealand. Since she secured a place with the Holyhead Harpies she had based herself in England which meant she saw a lot more of her mothers family which was something she was coming to appreciate. There was certainly more for Skye in England than there was in New Zealand so the move hadn't bothered her all too much, but she did miss seeing her parents so she still found herself returning to the country of her birth every so often. After spending the weekend with her parents which involved some target practice with her father, who fancied himself a better keeper than he actually was but Skye would always try and go easy on the man to spare his ego.

Leaving her parents home Skye disapparated and appeared at the entrance to Obsidian harbour. She wasn't due home anytime soon so the redhead decided she would head to one of her favourite places in New Zealand. Now that she was no longer a student she didn't have as much reason to visit the harbour. She knew she needed to pay a visit to Gringotts to check her account, it was just a formality since she was in the area and of course she would pop into the Quidditch shop. It never hurt to check for any potential broom upgrades. With her browsing done, Skye was ready to head home, just as she was about to find herself a good spot to apparate from she saw a glimpse of someone in the corner of his eye, "Willow?" She called over to the woman. Surely she wasn't bumping into her ex...whatever they were, for the first time.

Frustration and anger were foreign emotions for Willow. In fact she'd been more prone to them after finding out about he death of Andy towards the end of her schooling. It had been hard to process, not something she'd expected at all. Still, she was trying to learn how to live with it and continual rejection was not really helping her at all. Willow kind of missed her old school days. She had to admit that this was a much harder industry to break into than she initially anticipated and she was finding it hard to continue. She'd always thought she was good with rejection, but she was beginning to feel real rejection, something she'd never really had to deal with before. Though she was living with Dominique, the beauty queen was hardly ever around, Willow spent most of her time trying to find places to audition at. She'd obviously made the wrong move when she'd told herself that she would be fine to stay in New Zealand.

Exasperated, Willow was about to move on from where she was when she suddenly came across the face of an old friend. Two years out of school, she never would have expected to run into any of the people she used to know. Most of her friends were not native to New Zealand like herself and her family, but were instead from places like England or Europe. Though she was born in America, she was a citizen of New Zealand and it was why she had chosen to stay. She wasn't sure what to do about this situation though. Skye was someone who had been very close to her. At one point the former gryffindor had been fun, just something to do when she was bored, Rhiannon was never open to that sort of thing after all, but then something happened and she'd began to forget about her infatuation with Rhiannon. Instead her thoughts had become filled with the younger girl instead. It had been very much unexpected, but, well, she'd enjoyed the feeling it had given her. "Skye... Hi." What was she supposed to say? This wasn't that kind of situation people tended to find themselves in. Skye was not from around here she hadn't thought, what was she even doing here. "It's been a while."

Willow had been the one bright spot in an other wise boring and dull Hogwarts existence. The former Gryffindor always knew that she thought more if it than Willow had, but she didn't care, she wouldn't have traded what they had for anything. Skye spent very little time in New Zealand, if it wasn't for her mother she doubted she would ever set foot in the country again, barring any Quidditch reason that may bring her back. That didn't change the fact that she loved New Zealand, it was where she grew up, where she went to school and she had friends in the country.

That said the last person she expected to run into on the street was Willow. Although she hadn't seen the girl since the older girl graduated Hogwarts there wasn't a day that hadn't gone by where she hadn't thought about her. The girl looked good, but she seemed surprised to see her. Skye didn't a lot of time in New Zealand, but she wasn't sure that Willow would know that. "Yeah hi, haven't seen you since you left school, how have you been?" She asked. The two had never really spoken about their post school plans for Skye wasn't sure what Willow had planned to do when she left Hogwarts.
