[History:] Ariel had a relatively quiet childhood being quite reclusive and shy from a young age. She grew up in a big house for the small family of four and found herself being able to get lost easily. She didn't have many friends growing up and took to spending most or all of her time with her older brother. They would spend most of their time wandering around the forest that was out the back of their house where a few of the local wizarding families kept non dangerous magical pets, Ariel wasn't a big lover of the animals but her brother was so she suffered through it just so she could spend time with him.

Ariel became even more reclusive when Gaston went off to school and spent most of her time in her room. She quickly grew bored and started to take up a number of different hobbies; drawing, painting, instruments, the usual really but nothing ever really stuck with her. Due to living quite close to a muggle town she would hear the muggle music and soon fell in love with it, finding herself going into the town more and more just to hear the music. Instead of enjoying the actually music she fell in love with the words, especially with how some of them just seemed to connect with her, and this started her desire to write music, starting off with poems and occassionals expanding on them and even composing some music herself.

Ariel didn't have an over exciting time at Beauxbatons, finding it very much like her homelife but in a different environment. When she graduated she moved to Brittany, not too far from her home, but she felt that she needed to get out of home instead of having her parents worrying about her as she didn't join the Ministry like everyone else in the family and thinking that she couldn't support herself. Finding herself a small one bedroom above a shop she got herself a waitressing job and a few other odd jobs so she could pay the bills while working on her songwriting.
