APPEARANCE: Ares has dark brown hair and brown eyes. He inherited his brown eyes from his father, with all of his siblings having brown eyes too with a mix of brown and blonde hair from his mother. Ares kept his hair short until he was 14 when he decided to grow it out. He cut it 18 months later back to its normal length, before then just letting it grow again. The clothing he wears is usually casual, mostly regular jeans and a modern t-shirt, with a wooly sweater over the top during the winter. However, when it comes to formal events, he always dresses in a suit or in a more proper manner.

PERSONALITY: Ares doesn’t like people seeing his weaknesses and is always striving to be the best. He does have some insecurities however that he doesn’t want anyone to know. He is a very closed person, often not speaking up about things that are bothering him until the very last minute. He can be tolerant, but often his anger builds up until he explodes. He gets angry quite easily, is fragile, and many different things bother him that he hates speaking about. When it comes to Quidditch, which is his favourite sport, he can get very competitive. He plays the chaser position on the team as it is a position where he also has the same other job as two other players and can blend in. He doesn’t like to be pressured or to be in the spotlight, as this can make him quite nervous, and he doesn’t want anyone seeing him this way.

Ares can be quite nosy, wanting to find the answer to almost every question. If someone were to start telling him something, and then change their mind, Ares would be determined for them to say it, even if it wasn’t very important. There is nothing Ares doesn’t want to know or to miss out on, and this is why the language barrier at Beauxbatons frustrated him. He wanted to know things, but couldn’t, and was too afraid to speak up when he didn’t understand something in fear that people would think he was stupid. Whilst he is actually a slower learner than others, this doesn’t take away from the fact that he wants to know and struggles to, and then is too afraid to ask for help. He very much cares about what others think of him, and that makes him a little insecure.

Ares is quite interested in the future and what could be. When he is alone, he can be creative, imagining stories in his head and the possible ‘what-ifs’ of almost every situation. He has a tendency to overthink, and to also think that others dislike him despite them never saying anything of the sort. He never tells anyone this however, and simply jumps to conclusions that definitely are not true because he is too shy to talk about it. He can be observant, and this helps him greatly when he is trying to find answers to his questions, but it also helps him assume things wrongly.
